  • lol wow so korny ....

  • @phaze

A poem is not always set to rhyme

  • where is the poetry? dont wana rain on the parade, but its just a contextualized rant in the pretext of a story, in half rhyme...

  • I have a problem with this, I want to like it but he sorta contradicts the message when he calls the guys 'pussy' and also insults them by calling them girls at the end, how could you defend women in a poem and at the same time degrade the men by basically calling them women? he shoulda done a little editing before he spoke.

  • haha i think you've got the wrong idea.

But dont get me wrong... not a hhhuugggeee fan of this poem either... but his message is right.

  • @Whayoutalkingaboot - I feel you man.. this is Oveous. just to clarify, pussycats.. not pussy. a play on the word.. "whatup cat"

besides, we as men, degrage women allll the time. its ok to call out the fellaz once in a blue espcially if they deserved it.

but your point is well noted. thanks for listening.

  • @magnate3 So at first I read your comment @whayoutalkuingaboot and I was like hmm maybe he did take it too far, but i'll call every single one of those guys standin on the corner PUSSYS! Because, if you paid attention to it all, which im sure you did... you noticed how he explained who he was talking about.

  • @Whayoutalkingaboot dont think he ment bitch in the derogatory sense they are pussies as in cowards and girls as in weak but in a non sexist way if that makes any sense like using the N word without being racist

  • Comment removed

  • i think he was doing it sort of ironically

  • nahh this was straight up

  • shutup

  • u missin the point

  • @Whayoutalkingaboot You are mistaken. He doesn't directly use the slang term pussy, he uses the term "pussycat" which is intended as a pun (probably making a reference to the very point you brought up about the word--he acknowledges that it would be counter-intuitive to the point he's trying to make). And if you listen closely at the end I am fairly certain he says "whistle AT girls in the corner," not "whistle LIKE girls in the corner."

  • @Whayoutalkingaboot said pussycats not pussy-cats

  • @Whayoutalkingaboot i don't think he meant it in a way to disrespect a woman, he just didn't use the right phrase/words.

  • @Whayoutalkingaboot there's nothing wrong with being a women, except for when you're born a man.

  • @Whayoutalkingaboot ...i guess ur ryt

  • @Whayoutalkingaboot Pussycats, not pussies. Because cats aren't exactly the bravest of animals.

  • @Whayoutalkingaboot

I didn't hear him call them girls, he said whistle at girls ... and the word "pussy2 is demeaning for a woman as well. We do not claim that part of our anatomy, we use the word vagina. Therefore using the "p" word to discribe a disgraceful man is fine by me. Using "pussy" instead of "vagina" is like using "fucking" instead of "making love". No offense taken from a female point of you.

  • @Whayoutalkingaboot ahahah lets see u come up with something better

  • @Whayoutalkingaboot

maybe he wanted you to think

  • @Whayoutalkingaboot I think you have it all wrong my man. He said pussy cat... he wasn't degrading men. He was condenscending towards the disgusting pigs of this world. Not fine young men, the wretched fools who stand on a bodega spot( yes I am from NY) and harrass the women who are walking . The women may not be perfect at all times, which I think is where he was getting at when he said he uses the B word sometimes, but he damn sure knows when a respectful lady is in his presence.@magnate3

  • @1FLOt : i believe he is talking about himself; he says he isn't perfect; he makes the mistake of using the word B**** to insult someone (possibly a womyn); which he acknowledges as being disrespectful. This entire poem is about how its NEVER ok to disrespect a woymn. not that you can pick and choose which ones "deserve" it.

-then again, as most poetry or art, it is up for interpretation. All I can say is, in my opinion, its not your place to decide who is and isn't a "lady".

  • @1FLOt Yea yea, I hear what your saying, good lookin out. I'm from NY too I know exactly where hes coming from, the bodegas host some of the most perverted dogs.

  • @Whayoutalkingaboot Thats true but i think its because girls, and pussy are used as disrespectful terms, and they disrespect women, So its like a taste of their own medicine. You mistreat WOMEN you're just a little GIRL

  • @Whayoutalkingaboot He says PUSSY CAT not pussy.... referring to the timid nature of little cats, not of women

  • dumb he is good so shut it

  • Yeaaaa Deis heard this live...u def brought poetry to VOCAL 2010, I subbed!!! And I love the locs!!!...Dope poem tho! Proud to meet a brotha like you. You def made lots of fans and supporters at Deis, thanks for coming!

  • LOL my mama always and still reminds me and my brothers dat she carried us for nine months

    GOOD POEM

  • He got rythym, stands for what he believes but at the same time knows he isnt perfect, he actually feels what hes saying it feels natural doesnt feel like if he sings, yells, laughs or moans that it was rehursed for the purpose of a little bit more emphasis on what he says plus good message and hes unique.

  • He's nice wit it!!! Luv him!!

  • LOVE THIS

  • @ Eveorina... the saying "behind every great man..." is a popular saying, well supported by evidence, maybe the women are not all the way behind, but they are at the same level... look at Michelle, great woman ryt... but she pales in comparison to Obama... if you want a smilar asying, in support for women, google. "the hand that rocks the cradle is the hand that rules"... you wont find much supporting evidence but what the heck ryt. you dont seem to be a fan of any form of logical verification..

  • pales in comparison why?

  • Well...to keep it simple, Obama is, right now, one of he most powerful/influential people in the world. Michelle, whilst being great, powerful and influential in her own right, is just not on the same level.

  • Lol, and michelle has no influence over him? She's just as educated as he is.

  • His influence spreads over a wider range of things and people...

i didnt say she was less educated, i said she was less influential...

and he has influence over her as well...

  • If you truly think he's more influential why would you even say he has influence over her? Why would you think it mattered.

  • You wrote "and michelle has no influence over him?"

and i was merely pointing out that i think that in their marriage the influence is mutual, but on a global level he is on a different scale.

why do i think its important? well you are the one who started the -Barrack/ Michelle thing, i just used it as an example... so you are the one who thinks it really matters....

  • I wasn't talking about the marriage.I was wondering why you thought it necessary to mention that he has influence over her if he has all the power anyway, what would it matter?

I don't believe Ieft the first comment on that, no.

  • as i said before, i was just showing that the influence is mutual, but in the end he is way more influential. i meantioned he has influence over her because you wrote "and michelle has no influence over him?", and thus was addressing that part of your comment...

  • Ok, I don't think you get what I mean.

  • i dont think i do, clarify if you want...

  • By saying she had influence over him I wasn't suggesting he never influenced her- in their marriage, not in work. That's why your comment made no sense because if you really thought he had all the influence it wouldn't matter.

  • i hate youtube arguements

  • they're hilarious

  • No there fucking not.

  • *they're

  • i sooooo agree with you! instead of arguing jus enjoy the video ur watchin, some ppl choose to stay ignorant tho

  • @tinysanta420 seriously

  • haha.. very observant. i use the term to refer to people(not just women) who make specious arguments. You have no legitimate evidence to support your argument yet you still stand by it.thats retarded, hate to be the one to break it to you. and your sexism accusation is unfounded, i was merely stating fact, not attacking any gender, your response was driven by passion instead of intellect... sorry for the bitch part, but your still retarded, and i mean that loosely...

  • And I wasn't sure whether you did or not since you were defending it. Obviously it does but that's not the point...the point is that its still weak and very disrepectful to the women being called out.

But if you love and respect women then how do you go about calling me ( I assume you were talking about me) a retarded bitch? I never disrespected you; all I said was that you sound like a sexist by your comment. And I'm neither, especially not for voicing my opinon, so how does that work?

  • "Thousands of years of world religion" you say.. the Koran is the most unedited religious text and yet there is no mention of the Supreme being being a Woman...

and i wasn't saying Cat calling works all the time, i meant that it must have some success, maybe not all the time, but there are clearly some women who fall for that kind of thing.. not that i engage in such behavior myself...

for the record. i'm not sexist, i love and respect women... only when the respect is mutual...

  • Yes thousand of years of world relgion, not just Islam or Christianity. There were ALOT of religions before and after that that recognized women as equal and as their Supreme Being. Plus it was still written mostly by men in patriarchal socities where putting woman as a God would lessen thier self importance based on gender. Our texts were written in a way that reflects the teachings as well as prejudices they held at the time, but it doesn't all work now when we've changes our views so much.

  • well miss,Documents from those "thousands of years of world relgion" are no longer extant..so we will have to make do with aht we have wont we? and what we have says, male Gods rule... true it was written by men, but are you going to question all the teachings just cause they were written by men? are you going to condemn all religious texts as misogynistic scribblings?goodluck. at some point you just have accept that God is a man.you still have to present evidence to prove why u say he is female

  • like compassion, nuturing, warmth, mercy, forgiveness, etc. Theres so need to accept something that contradicts thousands of years of world religion. The men you listed are almost always lined up with women, so you can't negate God being a woman. That's only the way it is when people only acknowlege the feminine as less or second to the masculine. It's a balance, like all things.

And cat calls really don't work dude. Many guys have because its weak and disrepectful. Catcalling itself is dumb.

  • Oh word...word? so men are incapable of compassion, warmth and mercy? hahaha and you dare to call me sexist... What woman is God aligned to, what woman is Allah aligned to?.. and even if the supreme Gods are aligned to women, the Goddesses' play roles that are relatively insignificant... genders play complementary roles, not equal ones, there isn't a balance, males are dominant, even 'mother' nature made it thus... behind ever successful man there is a woman... BEHIND ... *see my next comment

  • Please don't twist my words. They're traits associated with females traditionally; Not that men don't have them at all.Everyone I listed and more are I wouldn't know that, I haven't studied the Koran yet. Roles are dished out fairly well, signifigant roles for all not just for the main God for all the God/Goddesses. Where'd you get the idea that complementary means inequal? Being a compliment doesn't make you less it just makes you a compliment. And no, behind those men are thier behinds

  • So men do embody these traits as well? You just rendered the comment you made about women embodying these qualities, null & void.& you're missin my point, even if the Gods are associated with Goddesses, the Gods are way more important and are considered the Kings/Rulers/Leader.give me one example of an all powerful Goddess.. please.i ddnt say complementary means unequal, you do know what the word means ryt? yea, they complement each other but they arent equals.

    *see next comment

  • Guys are not retarded... if cat calling didnt work AT ALL, i'm sure they would have revised their strategy....

And God is a HE... Zeus is a HE... Allah is a HE...Odin is a HE... Jesus is a He, Buddha is a He, Muhammad (PBUM) is a He, Jah is a He... people need to stop with this idea that any supreme being is a woman... i have no idea where you get that...

i'm not being sexist thats just the way it is... accept it..

  • Dude, God is genderless; we just give God gender to better relate to him/her. God is BOTH...Hera is a she, Allat is a she, Isis is a she, Mary is a she, Tara is a she, Guan Yin is a she, Brigid is a she. You DO sound very sexist with that comment when people used to and still do worship God as feminine or at least acknowlege and respect the feminine qualities. Women give life, like God does. Women are naturally in tune with nature and embody quaities that everyone associates with God

  • I said supreme being, all the Goddesses you mentioned are not supreme, they are the female counterparts of the supreme God, powerful, yes, but still not at the same levels of power... Zues, Allah, Odin and God run things... and for a Christian eg God gave a prayer that starts with" Our father..." if he was both or wished to be regarded as none he would have made us say "Our parent...".. and yeah God may have some feminine qualities, but i'm sure the majority of his qualities are masculine

  • These Goddeses are worshiped seperately as thier own entities,so they're not counterparts. They coincide with the males you listed; they run things together. Equal halfs of the whole of God. God gave it then humans wrote it, so that's where bias and errors come in. Btw he wouldn't have made us do anything, we agree on free will right? So we could have leaned it towards men then and personified God as such to keep in place biases. Where do you get the idea that the majority is masculine?

  • Clearly you have not done any research on the matter... the Goddesses may be worshiped as Separate entities, but they are still not as important as the Gods... point.blank.period!! e.g Google Zeus, it will tell you he is the Supreme God..not that he is half the ruling party... and it will tell you Hera is a powerful Goddess, not the female ruling Goddess... its like in parliament if you will, there is a president and a vice president... except in this case the 'president' is way more powerful..

  • the man

  • does anyone have the wordss to this? like the lyricssss.

  • This man is a Jedi. Jedis get laid. Very very good.

  • word.

  • this poem inspired me to write and ive won many compititons since

  • He is freakin licking good! lol.

  • he's right cat calling doesn't work. But you know what does? Writing a slam poem about how cat calling doesn't work.
