Truly amazing. He always has to deal with being the second best, and tries hard not to impose on her cause he knows she loves Stefan. Their relationship has developed so much, and there always has been something there, but it always seems like she goes back to Stefan. I can't help but feel sorry for Damon.

I'm sorry, I think about Damon and Elena's relationship now this is unreal to me. Damon was right when in that other episode when he killed Jeremy, he said "You're lying to me, you're lying to Stefan. And most of all you're lying to yourself." Oh and now that I know this, I can't help but laugh when Damon says "I don't deserve you, but my brother does." The background music is saying ." I was wrong, I was wrong." LOL EVERYBODY REWATCH THAT PART!
I love this scene. It shows Damon's true love for Elena and it's so heartbreaking. First you see his excitement, then his pain and then you see even more of his pain. They belong together. Ever notice how relationships tend to be stronger if the people are friends first? It's as if they have to grow together to really make it work. Delena has done that.
@Haj344 I like the way Damon & Elena's relationship has developed, as I read in another comment "It has matured at a good pace". Other than that she has seen Damon in every possible way; both good and bad from the start & the chemistry between them is good. As for Stefan's character acting up, I think that's normal I wouldn't venture to say he's becoming bad nor that he will, but the person Elena has become while going through all this suits Damon better.
i think this scene will have more inmportance in the end of the vampire diaries, my teory is that when elena turns in to a vampire, she will remember this, so she can have some positive thinks to choose Damon (not exactly "choose" just know that he really loves her, so much"

@kernalfleak damon and elena have a lot of spark! in fact its more then just a spark they're perfect for each other! I love stefan and elena dont get me wrong but theres nothing like the connection damon and elena have! its so strong that just words and expressions express the way they feel rather then making out scenes (such as with stefan)
Ooohhh plus, I don't think it'd mess the show... It'd be nice if there's was that change... Other than the fact that I believe he's way better it would definitely give the show an edge and put it aside from the whole cliche thing!

Do you notice how much more Stelena fans there are? it's wrong. If they liked st. Stef like the one in the first season, they shouldn't like the rippah because he's like Damon. He turned into a different person and still they want him to be with Elena. It just meens they like the image of stef and thats pretty much it.
I don't understand the arguing back and forth between the guys on this video. Stefan chose to be bad after Klaus's hold on him was lifted. He also did horrible things years ago. Damon has done just as much. One isn't better than the other in terms of how "evil" they are. They both are equal imo. I'm hoping she will get with Damon soon. Maybe in the end of the series, she might get back with Stefan though, who knows.

U sound stupid saying there are no beautiful SE scenes. Re-watch season 1 & 2. It's filled w/ wonderful SE moments. Even season 3 (they're not even together) & they STILL have nice moments like when she told Stefan on the phone " I love you. Hold on to that. Never let that go." When Stefan fought against Klaus complusion not to feed on her. He was about to kill himself (even though he was evil) so he wouldn't hurt her. I can give you a whole LIST of SE moments. Stelena is not unrealistic nor forced. ppl act like stelena fell in love in the 1st episode. No, they had buildup too. lol i dont normally watch tv but somehow I got hooked and addicted to vampire diaries. The whole supernatural mythological creatures and the cute love triangle guess i couldn't help it. For goodness sake I am just itching for Damon and Elena to be together for it all to come out in the open already. What im truly hoping for is that their not just pulling our strings and it turns out she stays with Stefan -.- i'll never let myself get hooked on another show again. Damon deserves some Love.
I listened to the song, I Was Wrong by Sleeperstar, before watching this for the hundredth time. And if you really listen to and know the lyrics of the song, you'll understand just how perfect it is and how perfectly it describes Damon's feelings...it makes this scene better than it is, which is nearly impossible♥

He's so misunderstood. In my views, there's points that show Damon's a very honorable & big-hearted guy. He's made mistakes, but at least he never hid who he really was & pretended to be superior like Stefan (when in reality Stefan was much worse than Damon in the past & ripped for fun)

Truly amazing. He always has to deal with being the second best, and tries hard not to impose on her cause he knows she loves Stefan. I love this scene. It shows Damon's true love for Elena and it's so heartbreaking. First you see his excitement, then his pain and then you see even more of his pain. They belong together. Ever notice how relationships tend to be stronger if the people are friends first? It's as if they have to grow together to really make it work. Delena has done that.

@Haj344 I like the way Damon & Elena's relationship has developed, as I read in another comment "It has matured at a good pace". Other than that she has seen Damon in every possible way; both good and bad from the start & the chemistry between them is good. As for Stefan's character acting up, I think that's normal I wouldn't venture to say he's becoming bad nor that he will, but the person Elena has become while going through all this suits Damon better.

I don't understand the arguing back and forth between the guys on this video. Stefan chose to be bad after Klaus's hold on him was lifted. He also did horrible things years ago. Damon has done just as much. One isn't better than the other in terms of how "evil" they are. They both are equal imo. I'm hoping she will get with Damon soon. Maybe in the end of the series, she might get back with Stefan though, who knows.

Just like Katherine, I believe Elena will always love Stefan more. If she does choose Damon, she'll still love Stefan. To me, what is truly epic about a pairing is how they go through things, and somehow (like in Elena's case) they're able to forgive and trust that other part of the pairing despite what they did. The thing is Elena knows Damon so well that she knows he has good intentions, same with Damon. One of Bill Cosby's kids was killed at one point, but he still forgave.

Stelena is not unrealistic nor forced. ppl act like stelena fell in love in the 1st episode. No, they had buildup too. She met him, befriended him, eventually found out he was a vamp, got scared but got back together with him because she realized she was in lobe. They had buildup too but DE fans refuse to acknowledge that because they want her to sleep with the other bro. It just amazes me how DE fans are NOT grossed out by her sharing brothers! Men who are related by genetics!

Delena has masive buildup (true) but at what cost? Once the writers made Elena easily forgive Damon for murdering her bro in cold bloof in front of her, tried to kill her bff Bonnie, abused Caroline, etc it became TOO weird & fake after that. It's stupid now. It's too unrealistic that she would fall for a man who killed & turned her mom into a vamp then killed her bro. Nuh uh. BULLSHIT

@PrincessSunshine11 Both Damon AND Stefan have done some terrible things,Stefan was even worse than Damon.The only difference is that Elena met Stefan when he was already changed and Damon was changing in the process.And Elena is a very tolerable person.Let's not forget the moment in 3x03 when she glanced at Stefan with a wall of his victims behind her.Why is that not gross?She loves him in spite of everything.Just sayin,they're not that different.But we chose which couple to love,not to hate.

Ur point is valid. Stefan isn't innocent either but he changed for good until he went with Klaus. He only went with Klaus to SAVE Damon's life. The Damon u love so much would not be alive if it wasn't for Stefan. Stefan sacrificed his life in mystic falls & his relationship for Elena to save his bro. ppl always give Damon credit ( for what exactly? Killing ppl, screwing things up & trying to screw his bro's girl?) but Stefan sacrificed himself for Damon & Elena. He deserves cred

@PrincessSunshine11 That is very true.Stefan saved Damon's life so many times and I am sure he will get the credit.I've read a JP interview where she said that after D and E find out what S did in the last epi,D will think twice before acting on his feeling for E.I see you don't like Damon very much but don't be so quick on judging him.If he and Elena do get together I'm sure it will be at the right time.Cos the show has always been about a love triangle-a girl thorn between 2 brothers.

Stefan that's who. Not Damon. Damon knew she was different & thought Katherine was locked away. You think a man willing to give up a girl they like to be happy with their brother is obsession? GIVE ME A BREAK! That is selfless and TRUE love! You can't help who you fall in love with!

He tried to kill Bonnie & abused Caroline. He harmed Jeremy, Bonnie & Caroline, her close loved ones, some of the most important ppl in her life. If that's love, I'd rather be hated! I thought u treated enemies that way, not the girl u claim to love. Stefan never harmed her loved ones like that, not even ripper Stefan. Damon is twisted & confused if he thinks that's love. Like Elena said, " He doesn't know what love is." For once she had a point.

@PrincessSunshine11 I do sorta understand your point but Damon doesn't see Elena as Katherine. He never did or he would've probably acted like Stefan. He sees her as a different person completely. And I agree sleeping with your brother's girl isn't good, but you can't help who you fall in love with. And lol it was more like Stefan who was obsessed with Elena, not Damon.

@PrincessSunshine11 This isn't obsession. This is giving love another chance. Katherine destroyed Damon. She used him, manipulated him, and changed him into someone who had almost lost his humanity. If anything, STEFAN was obsessed with Elena. He just HAD to get to know her because she looked like Katherine whereas Damon fell for Elena, not initially because she looked like Katherine but because she cared about him.

Giving love another chance with his brother's girlfriend? Again? Did he NOT learn his lesson the 1st time? Damon is cruel to me. Not only does he kill ppl & enjoy it ( he admitted it, Stefan always felt guilt after killing) he even wants to screw his bro's girl, not caring for his bro's feelings. So yeah, Damon is cruel to me. He's willing to stab his bro in the back even AFTER Stefan sacrificed his freedom to Klaus to save Damon. And that's the thanks he gets? TRAGIC.

@PrincessSunshine11 It seems like all you care about is hating on Damon...if you ask me, Stefan is actually the cruel one, but I'm not going to bother explaining why. Damon can be a really honorable & big-hearted guy, but you only seem to see the bad. Of course Damon sorta likes that stuff...he's a vampire it's in his nature. Even the most liked animals can behave like that. I'm not fond of broody & guilt-ridden vamps. I don't want another Twilight or Bill from True Blood.

Hating on Damon? Are u kidding? I love Damon. The show would be so incomplete without him. In many ways, it's HIS show. He makes it as good as it is so no, I don't hate Damon. I love both brothers but my opinion on DE still stands. It would make Elena a less honorable woman & it'll make D an ungrateful backstabber after all his bro has done for him.

every time he tries to tell her something or kiss her or hug her, she always says no, damon, don't say it, don't do it, don't go there.... but you can tell SOOO BAD, that she's only saying that because she knows if she doesn't, she'll totally fall for him.

lol i dont normally watch tv but somehow I got hooked and addicted to vampire diaries. The whole supernatural mythological creatures and the cute love triangle guess i couldn't help it. For goodness sake I am just itching for Damon and Elena to be together for it all to come out in the open already. What im truly hoping for is that their not just pulling our strings and it turns out she stays with Stefan -.- i'll never let myself get hooked on another show again. Damon deserves some Love.

I listened to the song, I Was Wrong by Sleeperstar, before watching this for the hundredth time. And if you really listen to and know the lyrics of the song, you'll understand just how perfect it is and how perfectly it describes Damon's feelings...it makes this scene better than it is, which is nearly impossible♥

@Bethannie27 Damon has done some of the most selfless things on the show, whether it was for Elena or his brother, yet some people still have the audacity to call him selfish & self-centered. He's so misunderstood. In my views, there's points that show Damon's a very honorable & big-hearted guy. He's made mistakes, but at least he never hid who he really was & pretended to be superior like Stefan (when in reality Stefan was much worse than Damon in the past & ripped for fun)

@Crystasorrow I couldn't have said it better myself. I always say to others that Damon has had the most incredible character transformation of any character I have ever seen on ANY TV show. He really has sacrificed a lot for his brother and the people he loves. He risked it all to save Tyler and Caroline and then got bitten!
