  • good luck. I am in India. Great breads here, very different.

  • I love your bread videos! Last night I made bread for the first time (before I saw your video). My bread didn't turn out right. After watching your videos (Part 1 and 2), I am going to make bread again tonight. I want to always make my own bread. No more buying it with chemicals or sub-standard flour! I know I will be a success because I won't stop until I get it right.

  • who is she talking about?

  • Oh man, I wish you were my grandma! My children would just love you and love helping you and love eating your food :) Simply precious!!! Thanks for the great video!

  • awesome video, awesome lady! Thanks!

  • Thank You mum in arbic Shukran

    all the best

  • @Hadrmyh thank you

I went to your channel, you have some very interesting things there

  • you are so cute! haha

  • @prodepranpongplutong what in the world does prodepranpongplutong mean? I get the pluto . . . .

  • Thanks for the video I love your commentary and way of making it look natural. I have been baking bread for only a year or so but I like your way of feeling the bread to know what to do better than all the detailed scientific instructions. There is a lot open to interpretation I think with bread making.

Who can resist fresh bread out of the oven? I know I can't... mmmmm! I have to wait 20 more minutes.

  • You seem like a beautiful lady, I wish that you continue making these great educational videos. I have been making bread ever since I was 5-6 and I have never tasted such an amazing recipe. Thank you for your influential words, now i am going to make more of this great bread!

  • Indeed we have FAR more important things to do. Put the bombs and guns away and get out the flour and yeast. War kills .. Bread nourishes. Thank you for a beautiful job!!

  • Sorry my English is not very good, my German is much better. So I'm a journeyman baker, not a master baker. But I'm 25 - so in a few years maybe master baker would be real - I hope so.

  • @halloschorle what do you bake?

  • @atree3 Much different bread -> with sourdough and whithout.

With "white" flour and rye flour, spelt flour, coarse rye meal a.s.o.

Some bun and other good things

    And some pastry too.

  • GREAT, VERY GREAT!

I'm a "real" baker from Germany, but it's great how you handle this!

  • @halloschorle what does that mean, 'real' baker?

    that you are a professional?

  • L o v e -_-) א ה ב ה

  • just made two loaves following your recipe...it is life.

  • @chinouyamale enjoy

  • A wonderful thing made by a wonderful woman, I enjoyed every word you said.

Hope you're still with us and watching your cholesterol.

    Blessings, Bread Yogi !

  • You are an amazingly wonderful lady and your instruction is impeccable. I have been making homemade bread for 20 plus years. Never quite getting the rising and the kneading part down until now. I wish I could send you a picture of the batch I just made today as a result of your kind instruction. Makes me so happy and impressed. Thank you so very much for this.

  • @deedevinebrake thank you

Maybe you can send a photo of your next batch . .

You are a true teacher. I have always felt there was something magical about baking bread but could never quite put it into words Now you have done that for me Recently I have given up all foods that are artificial or processed and been trying to learn the art of making bread .Your video has given me a better understanding of the whole process. I will now go and bake my bread

    Blessings to you

  • great clip ! and great character also.. thanks for sharing . ps , lose the white flour dear , get a hand mill grinder and grind up some hole wheat and then you will truely have it nailed.

  • I am honored. Please send me a picture/video

  • i am gonna name my bbrick oven after you.

  • I've never heard anyone make bread baking sound so interesting and metaphysical before ;)

  • So natural, did you know a camera was there?I have been making my bread for three months now,and it just is the normal thing to do.I measure nothing with scales and it works out.

  • The camera was on a tripod. I was using a remote.

  • Zen,and the art of bread making?(i don,t wash my tins either)but never told anyone before.

  • Ah, the wisdom of the elders...if I could be in that kitchen, I would sit and listen, watch and learn, and if lucky, participate and I am sure I would end up knowing much, much more than bread making. Thank you.

  • What a Charming old Dear, she makes bread how it was men't to be made, and That bread would have been great with Fresh Butter and a dab of Home Made Gooseberry Jam, Deeeeeeee Lish

    A+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

  • do you have any spare gooseberry jam?

  • Yea I made Plenty :-)

  • is she going to make love to the bread?

    gosh..kkkkkkkkk....she acts like a pervert

.i love women more than anything in the word.but i never behaved the way she behaves around cocked bread,,weird

  • I just made some bread with your recipe..it made so much dough that I tweaked some of it to a cinnamon oatmeal honey honey bread lol...loved it thank you!

  • AWESOME! thank you!

  • awsum, thanks a lot!

  • Brilliant! Very inspiring! Thank you for sharing your time and expertise.

  • Your awesome!

  • I usually use second hand yeast. First I make life in the form of real ale then I use the left over yeast to make life again; there is no end to making life. The beer and the bread even compliment each other with a bit of mature cheddar. Thanks for the info will have to try substituting some flour with some polenta.

  • sounds good. Would you call ths the sourdough method?

  • Thanks----- for the demo. i too have recently started making bread. Though i use sugar and add the oil in the begining. But i am just not getting that golden brown color. Great flavor though .... thanks..

  • Try putting it into a 450 degree oven for the first 10 minutes, then lower to 350 for the remainder of the time )30 - 40 ? minutes.

  • your description of atoms waiting in ecstasy of anticipation revel that you use magic mashroom for your tea before doing bread.

  • oops, I'm caught

  • I have just started making bread last month. I can feel the passion in your sharing. Love you !!!! All the best.

  • I made my very first loaf of bread today and it came out very very well. It goes nice with my homemade blackberry jam!

  • this is bread wisdom!

  • Oh! Looks like a real perfect bread! I'm so sorry i can't smell it!

  • Mam cholesteral shmolesteral whatever we are all going to die. Butter your bread and enjoy the little life you have. Heck I'm starting to cook with lard and I can't wait for my heart attack. I jusy hope I don't have to linger on through social security and whatnot. Thank you for putting this up. I see alot of younger bread makers that don't knead near as much as you and I think they are missing something too.

  • lard makes the best pastry

  • Really some guy swore that shortening did. By the way I just made my very first loafs and they are rising in the pans. Shame on you for not warning me that by the time you do that your hands smell so good that you want to chew them off. lol Thank you for this artistic and humble demonstration. My wife is going to be so elated when she gets home and so hot if she sees her counter top and I don't go and clean it. Work is slow so I'm making bread. A great multi-tasking excercise for me.

  • You made me laugh, but in a good way. =D

  • Cool vid. I like your style.

  • Isn't it strange how cookery videos are so popular? But I think it might be because (certainly here in the UK) people are NOT taught to cook (and consequently don't cook)anymore and it IS such a fascinating process. My chocolate cake video is one of my most watched... maybe I should forget making art and make food. Thank you for reminding me how lovely it is to make bread.

  • Thank you for this tutorial. I'm going to bake my first loaf of bread tomorrow. You are fabulous!

  • let me know how it turns out . . .

  • I made a basic white bread. It turned out okay but not as good as I thought it would be. I think I'm going to try your recipe and see how I do with it.

  • sometimes plain white bread can be a boring.

let me know, you could add some other things, 1/4C sunflower seeds?

  • I wish you were my grandma :P

  • sure, gram

  • Thank you. I love to find constructive people on YouTube. There are so few people trying to help society, and so many trying to tear it down. I will make some bread now.

  • Let me know how it turns out

  • Awesome tutorial on the art of Bread making:) Thank You for sharing.

  • thanks for sharing the Magic of this "wedding" :)) you opened up my heart

  • I really thought I was in your Kitchen. You make me smile. Thanks for sharing.

  • you're a cool person

  • I can perfectly see you in a very successful cooking show on a major TV network, but with a big difference, of course: you would be one of the very few who really master their craft and can effortlessly convey knowledge in a very captivating way.

    Just loved your videos!

  • I am so happy you enjoyed it

  • ...... i stood there in tears as u ate the bread in front of the camera T_T but thankfully ur vid was very helpful and i know its very simple to make bread :D awesome!! xD

  • see your video really make may feel live. you are right grandma, making bread like making live, its live, so not just do the homework but we do thing with scene of feeling ,,I rembember that, thank so much for sharing, and waiting for your next video...

  • Miss atree3 could you please tell me how long you waited between each rise? Thanks so much :)

  • till double in size, depends on the warmth of your room

  • This woman is so knowledgeable! You have renewed my respect for the hommaking craft! Thank you, for helping someone like me get it right! I have watched this video many many times. Atree3, were you a teacher? like in the classroom? If so your student's were blessed!

  • thank you so much

Yes, I have spent most of my life teaching, at the University, and individually. It has always given me much pleasure

  • wow, thanks for the videos!

i've always wished i had a grandma like you.

    would you adopt me?

  • Your just wonderful!

I made my girls watch your video's for bread making. It is a simple thing that needs to be passed on. Thank God for technology & women like you who aren't scared of it. Everyone is in such a rush these days and it seems people miss the little things. Thanks for sharing the magic with me and my family.

  • my pleasure!

  • I could sit and watch you all day. You are so into what you are doing. I would love to see you do some pies or cakes. I will be looking for some more of your videos. Thanks

  • better do some baking . . . .

  • thanks for the great tips... I ran out of regular oil so I'm trying something that might turn out nasty... I'm using sesame seed oil instead... i hope it's not to terrible!

ps... I love the heel too?

  • haha. no

but you have given many useful tips. everyone's recipes i've come across vary quite a bit. and as you say in your video... let the dough tell you what it wants.

  • you are marvellous. i watched both videos.

thanks for the insight into the technique. and it felt like learning from the grandma i never had.

my husband and i tried our first loaf yesterday, and it was good enough to hammer nails. we needed help, and you have been a great part of that. i look forward to teaching our children.

    thanks again.

  • was that hammer loaf made to my recipe?

  • Wow, I have learnt so much about baking bread. You have so much skill, experience and passion, keep it up! :)

  • you are COOL

  • Lovely. There is nothing more beautiful then making bread. It was a pleaure to watch.

  • Thanks for making this video,,, Hope u make some more video of other kinds of breads,,,,

  • thanks for asking, I'll do it today

  • When you refer to the people on TV fighting, the "comedy act", to whom are you referring?

  • I hope it was WE Wrestling, I love that stuff.

  • at the time I made this there was lots of hateful bickering going on and I was referring to that.

    thanks for watching

  • I wish she would give exact measurements & list of ingredients.

  • Compubomb, usually that is necessary, but recipes (on every packet of yeast, & other videos) are everywhere. The best about her vids is you learn the 'way' of doing bread. My goodness. This was the nicest set of videos! There are many vids with measurements, but rarely...do you see one (or two) where someone imparts such a 'way'. This was sooo nice to watch. (about how yeast is alive, etc. there is so much in her vids. wonderful.) You'll find your measurements, cbomb. The ingreds are in her 1st.

  • She did, look... 3 cups warm water 2 Tblsp yeast Let sit for 15-20 minutes. 2 Tblsp. honey 1 Tblsp. salt 1 cup wheat flour 2 cups white flour 1/2 cup polenta 1/2 cup coconut (not sweetened) Flour your surface and start kneading in the flour, a total of 2-4 cups will be added in during kneading until the dough is easy to handle. This entire step of additions and kneading (after the initial water and yeast mix time) took about 20 minutes.

  • Actually, now that I think about it (watching the cinnamon bread video)...maybe just a teaspoon of salt?

  • i meant that

    SO sorry

  • wow. that bread looks delicius. and you remember me of my art teacher.. i guess it's the way of speacking with passion about bread/art....

could you please give me the list of ingredients, i live in a spanish speaking contry so i need to translate some of them?

  • yeast, white flour, wheat flour, polenta, coconut, wheat germ, oil

  • If you ever bless my kitchen with a visit, I'll surrender it with the greatest humility. Thanks, You are Awsome!

  • thanks

  • I feel the same way about You! I just think you are the best! You really are. Hey, I wanted to ask you a question. My girlfriend likes the cinnamon bread, do I make it the same way just using lots of cinnamon and sugar but the same process? one more question, is it possible to over kneed bread? I have the kitchen aid and I use that. I just dont know if I am over mixing. Is it a way to tell If its over mixed or mixed just enough. I was thinking that i may do the last two kneedings by hand.

  • Your awsome atree3...Im gonna try to make me some bread too!

  • let me know how it turns out . . .

  • Crunchcrunchcrunch and I could smelll the bread, wafting up around the steam, sitting here in the university computer lab I could smell the bread... whether it was your bread exactly I'm not entirely sure, for it smelled distinctly of cinnamon, but it matters not, for bread it was that I smelled nevertheless when you lifted it up to show me.

  • mmmmmmmmm

  • i wish you were my grandma :( you're so cool

  • it's ok with me, I will not be having any grandkids . . .

  • This justifies the whole existance of the internet right there. We all get to be your 'grandchildren' learning from your wisdom! Thank you!

  • my pleasure

  • P.S. Back from doing my bloody flippin' taxes. I was down there thinking about that bread - thinking I wish you'd put some butter on that slice. Then I thought, "No, hell if you have high cholesterol, we need you to stay here! No butter!!"

  • thanks for looking after me . . . .

  • You see that I'm on a marathon tour of your videos before I launch into the next round of tax forms. Between the pate a choux mold and these breads, I am desperate. Yes, my mother always says that about the pans too. Oh my god - the steam. Good, good video.

  • love you grandma!
