  • excellent tutorial, this worked perfectly on my ubuntu 10.04 LTS server. I was looking all over the place to find out how to make a local shared folder within my network and had no luck until this video!

  • have got problem in installing samba when i key in sudo apt-get install samba nothing happen as in theirs no download taking place what should i do for samba to start working in my PC

  • Could you by chance make a video on how to set up Samba with Users, instead of "Anonymously"

  • Thanks so much for the video. Very easy to follow and understand. I have a small problem in that I can see the server from Windows but can't connect to it.

    The Windows diagnostic provides the following message. "The remote computer isn’t responding to connections on port 445, possibly due to firewall or security policy settings, or because it might be temporarily unavailable. Windows couldn’t find any problems with the firewall on your computer. "

  • Very nice explination. I did mine like the way samba say's to do it and i like mine to be encrypted. I hate vi I rather just use nano. But really good video.
