  • I just visited the Charles Dickens museum and watched the film about Dicken's life they show the public downstairs. That Charles Dicken's is no saint is evident I do think he fits the norm of the term "genius." His life of the mind, his mind and his self-love took precedence over anyone or anything, he was what he

  • Was.

  • Thank you for uploading. It is interesting to see a "behind the scene" about Dickens.

  • This is the opposite of what a good historical documentary should be: partial, sensational, morbidly titillating, sanctimomiously judgmental, lacking in evidence and littered with hyperbolic opining. A perky ironic tone doesn't disguise the fact that this is tabloid television. Shameful.

  • So many many thanks for uploading this show - your channel is fantastic. Cheers from Australia!!!!!

  • I feel terrible for Catherine, how he was so cruel to her, and yet in the end, she loved him still, after he was so hateful to her.

She had to go through so much, and yet, even in the end, she hoped that it might be seen that at one point, he loved her.

  • @cupidxxrawr

i think people at that time are not very emotionally connected. my great grand mother is now 96y.o. she is unappreciative etc... when we tell her someone passed away, she'll have some insensitive comment about that person, totally 'stiff upper lips' no emotion. but leave her alone or in private we will always hear her sobbing or crying...

  • Thank you Thank you Thank you for all your great uploads :) Happy New Year!!
