Also.. this is like cheap soft, mushy vinyl your working on right? Kinda like the cheap Japanese car vinyl basically that bubbles like pizza cheese and the thin top layer that separates off the top? Also when the gel adhesive cures is it flexible with the vinyl?
There is definitely a limit to what can and cannot be repaired. When trying to repair things that are that extensive, the cosmetics really can deteriorate drastically. It can be done, but usually replacement is the best solution.

great job! But what can you do for a large area that needs repair? The entire top(almost) of my door panel is damaged! :(
