I'll probably get some shit from people, but I think she killed the song... The "metheny" intro and interlude, the Shakira" interpretation (specially noticeable at 1:44), the "sappy" feeling throughout... I loved the Blackbird/Bye Bye Blackbird interpretation (specially the samba feel, being Brazilian), but not this one... Sorry, I might be TOO old fashioned (just my opinion)...

Watch Ellas Fitz version of this. Your voice and hers are similar. Wow she really seems to have had a tough childhood which makes her achiements seem more impressive. So it's not interpreting to cut out a little bit of the of the song? They thought it would be better if they had a little bit bells, piano, bass, drumset and just a bit of vocals.

If they completely changed the words and made it off as their own thing, then yes..that would be disrespectful. This is just another interpretation of the song.
