Totally messed up and forgot a line in the beginning and repeated himself lol. Still awesome though :). That's how you know, when the artist can mess up and still pull you into the song!
@kekelila in the second verse he pauses and says, "keeping her eyes on the open road, no telling where that son' a bitch go." That was a repeated line from the first verse. Hence the pause. He should have said, "seen enough to kill anyone's soul, keeping her eyes on the open road." Like I said. I love John Hiatt's music no matter what. He is a phenomenal lyricist, and musician. So one little repeated line doesn't change that.
