A walking bus takes place when Primary Schools organise for their pupils to meet an hour early at a designated point. Children, parents and teachers gather together and all walk to school. Along the way the collect other children who wait by their gates. This is a great opportunity to teach children road rules and spend the morning explaining how and where you should cross the road.
