If the lady say learn your history, she should not twist the facts of it (don't get it twisted!). I think everyone should have the rights to express their love to their love one during valentine. Valentine has nothing to do with religion. It's a celebration of love. Takkan have a dinner with their love one also need to tangkap meh?? Dem kesian la tu......

St Valentino is remembered for his good effort in helping young ppl during his time 2 get married. He was indeed one of d saints according 2 D Roman Catholic Church.Yes i admit he did a pretty good job in handling tis issue but as a muslim why do we need 2 cherish tis moment? remembering a Catholic saint?we already hv our icons. Not sure whether this date is really 'haram', but as a Muslim, it's not necessary to celebrate V'Day, it's obviously from Christian tradition same as celebrating New Year.
Muslim must start put an awareness to avoid from celebrating any unnecessary days that falls on Gregorian calendar. Like celebrating Maulidur Rasul, Aidilfitri, Aidiladha, etc., these are all following the takwim Hijrah. So from now on, if Muslim wants to celebrate their birthday, just follow the takwim Hijrah date, OK! :)

i am not offended at all..its just that sometimes this valentines day spirit, sometimes can help the muslim folks who kononnye declaring undying love for each other to "zina" which is a sin. mm.. this video is kinda funny, but I would've liked it better if you guys had pointed out that Muslims should not celebrate valentine because 1) It is not mentioned in the Qur'an and Sunnah, 2) It is a waste of time and money, 3) It could lead to sin. Not sure whether this date is really 'haram', but as a Muslim, it's not necessary to celebrate V'Day, it's obviously from Christian tradition same as celebrating New Year.
Muslim must start put an awareness to avoid from celebrating any unnecessary days that falls on Gregorian calendar. Like celebrating Maulidur Rasul, Aidilfitri, Aidiladha, etc., these are all following the takwim Hijrah. So from now on, if Muslim wants to celebrate their birthday, just follow the takwim Hijrah date, OK! :)

Because you ended the video the way it did, it somehow came off as belittling a 'learned' person and the religion, which in turn invited some of the less savoury responses you got.

mm.. this video is kinda funny, but I would've liked it better if you guys had pointed out that Muslims should not celebrate valentine because 1) It is not mentioned in the Qur'an and Sunnah, 2) It is a waste of time and money, 3) It could lead to sin. Those reasons alone should be sufficient for muslims (true ones, that is) to leave the practice.

Wht they say is correct factually although the means in which they present it may cause uneasiness amongst certain quarters.But hey, this video encourage me, you and those out there to think (and also to have a good laugh or two) about the way we, muslims live our daily lives.
