Why oh why do they all seem to do that? I could watch them all day I love it when they do that, I closed my eyes a couple of times as I thought he was going to catch his head on that sharp edged corner, was that a car hood or something like that, hey it added an extra edge to the video so to speak. muahhahahaha David.

@inevergiveup1402 No, I did not take Geronimo! He stayed with my brother! I missed him so much. When I came home late last night, he wanted to cuddle for a long time. Typically, he will not even come out of his cage after he has been asleep. Today I took him for a ride and spent a lot of extra quality time with him. We had a wonderful day!

Please before you get a bird, RESEARCH AND THEN RESCUE! Having a cockatoo is much like having a 2 year old child for up to 80 years. They are scream, are messy, sometimes pluck, & take a great deal of your undivided attention. Birds were meant to own the sky, not be in a cage all day. I suggest that you have an aviary before getting one. They are a delight to have for the right person.

and dont worry, ill make sure that i find a good place to build him/her a nice bird house, big big bird house :D and let him/her out to fly every day..take him/her for a walk..talk and sing with him/her...if i manage to have a cockatoo one day..

and ofc, i wouldnt rescue a cockatoo without researching first...

What a wonderful bird! My wife and I just recently put to sleep our last big dog and we're down to one little cute miniature pincher and a cool cat, now maybe it's time we get us one of those. We're both retired now and could probably have a lot of fun with it, especially taking it to arts ad craft shows in our motor home. Any advice on specific breeds? @Maysey1 Thanks for your comment! Please do an astronomical amount of research before getting a bird. They scream, bite, are messy, and are very demanding like a two year old child. Did you know they live up to 80 or 90 years?

Study all the breeds and decide which is right for you both. If you have not had birds before, parakeets are great. They are the best talkers and very sweet. Cockatiels are also great and live about 15 years I think. Let me know if I can help.

@upcycle Yes, cockatoos are vegans in the wild. If you give them meat in captivity, they will eat it. I personally don't think that is a good idea. Geronimo loves his pellet parrot food, nuts(only given 2 or 3 daily), fruits, and few vegetables. Perhaps we would all live as long as a parrot if we ate like them. LOL

My greatest fear about this video is that it will inspire people to run out and get a bird and stick it in a cage like a pretty ornament, not really realizing that a parrot needs similar attention as a two year old child. Education is the key to avoiding neglected birds or any kind of pet.

My greatest fear about this video is that people will run out and buy a cockatoo and stick it in a cage like an ornament. I just want people to RESEARCH A HUGE AMOUNT BEFORE GETTING ANY PET AND THEN ADOPT! OWNING A PARROT IS LIKE HAVING A 2 OR 3 YEAR OLD SCREAMING CHILD FOR UP TO 85 OR 90 YEARS.
