this green team sucks they are very un-organized and are poorly coached this press isnt that hard to break but they keep passing it to the corner which is like 3 defenders (baseline is like a 3rd) but actually only 2 are there
LOL that press was not even ran that well. the green team all vacate down court and leave two men to take the ball up. You need four ppl to break the 1-2-2 press... a simple 1-3-1 press break will work... Why is there no guy in the middle of the court lol... Also you can tell the green team has not been coached at all. almost every single inbounds was taken under the basket. the inbounder never ran the baseline after a made shot and of course the PG caught the ball right where the trap wanted!
@jrem11 I hear you. But the green team have no sense of what to do to even break that press. If green doesn't have a press break, then they at least you need spacing on the court and quick passes. But if they're not aware of it, they're just not aware. And on a side note I'm liking the white team quickness and reaction to recognize when to trap. And they are keeping their hands up which is must for press to work.
It's a 1-2-2 press. The defense is playing aggressive which is a plus. The point of the press is to pressure the ball, create tough situations, spped up the tempo and to make the offense uncomfortable. Which is what this defense is doing. True the offese are not reading the press but the defense is accomplishing their task. And they are scoring off the turnovers. Getting easy baskets
@tatedagoat I would fire the green coach... Call a Timeout... set up a 1-3-1 press break ... Then tell your inbounder he can run the baseline on a made shot and warn the PG to not catch the ball in the corners where the 1-2-2 is looking to trap you. Not one time did i see a man put in the middle of the court to make the 1-2-2 work harder
Here's a tip: Throw the ball fake on the inbounds - get the ball to the far corner, cut middle....Ball fake....Pass to the other corner....Ball Fake!......Cut to the middle....Pass...Keep the ball off the floor....Look Opposite.....CUT! Ball Fake....Keep it moving.....Make the Defense work.....attack the basket! Make the defense recover....High Percentage shots...If none available...Pull it out and set up your offense! Or just throw it around and pray!

embarrasing. If a team has no plays to break the press, this is what happens, and a game gets out of hand pretty quick.
