  • thank you for this special moment in my life

  • Poprostu piekna muzyka.

  • she needs a good slap

  • That soft-spoken and charming. Where does such a beautiful and passionate lady. Travel a lot to hear you. May God bless you.

  • lindo demais

  • ok is it just me or is the guy creepy but hot? -.-''

  • strangely unrelated to folk music previously heard in S land......some kind of vanity we are the world rendition

  • Beautiful and romantic... as lovely as her voice!

  • I liked her dress!

  • <3

  • Il va à la pêche au moule le pêcheur .. :p

  • 2:54 - What a cheap 21th century halter.

  • Beautiful song...

  • @vanhelsingfreek it's a video dumbass, of course people are going to comment on the way she looks, which is every bit as beautiful as she sounds......

  • Just to let you all know the Irish, Scots and Manx are not Celts. We are Gaels and we have inhabited these islands for more than 9,000 years. The Welsh, Cornish and Bretons are not Celts either but are Brythonic closely related to and probably descended from the Gaels.

  • @bomaol Irish are celts but are also germanic. The modern Irish man in 60 percent Iberian celt from what is now northern spain the other 40 is made up of Norman and Viking Dna.Gaels did not come anywhere near ireland.

  • actually most of my research into the ancient Celts speak of them having fair hair. and this is from a variety of sources.

  • @rewildingmonk

Most of the sources I've read also mention fair hair, however more than a few of those sources mentioned the men having 'plaster cast' hair when they readied for war, and at least one author- Gerhard Herm, I believe it was, argued that the lime wash might have bleached their hair, not necessarily it being genetic. Bear in mind, like him, I say MIGHT.

  • @WatchRyder celtic people are from central europe not spain or uk or ireland. we just adopted the culture. and @VivaLaVieBoheme49 thick lips has nothing to do with being celtic. i am welsh (pure british of the original peoples) and can trace my roots back a fairly long way which all come from wales and i know very few people with thick lips. sorry to dissapoint you. on the other hand, if you go to africa........ anyway, what a shit song :-)

  • 2:11 is a take on the famous medieval portrait entitled "Guenevere".

  • @ChirstamsLover It is actually the "Lady of Shallot" by John William Waterhouse you are thinking of.

  • wtf is this

  • What an idiot that guy is, thinking she does not "look" Celtic. She looks Celtic as hell. It is an old, ancient mixed race. Most true celts are brunettes. The red hair and blonds were a result of mixing with the vikings. A true celt is brunette. And like any eurapean race that is mixed, there are blonds and red heads and brunetts all. To say her lips are too big? How stupid is that? Why cant a celtic woman have full lips? Most have very pretty lips and looks.

  • @celticwitan

Celts are from Iberia, Denmark and Scandinavia.

The Scandi Celts came first, followed by the Iberian Celts.

This lady is of Iberian bloodline.

The Spanish that are in Spain now are not those that the Celts were of...

  • @WatchRyder Wrong.Celts origin are ancient, various and far from what you say,did you know that they really originally came from the east of Europe, and some say also from Asia? They moved from the east to the west, passing through the middle of the Europe.A lot of them stopped in France and they became Gauls, the others moved to north and of course were mixed with Bretons,Saxons and Vikings that invaded Scotland and north of Ireland.I can prove it,I studied it on a book "Magical Celts traditions"

  • @Enrico100380

Go on then, I'm listening to what the 'proof' exactly is you are going on about.

You do realist that ancient white tribal migrations are possibly one of the most difficult to trace in earths history...

  • @WatchRyder I know it is...anyway the book is called "Tradizione magica dei celti" the author is Marc Questin, published by Atanòr...mine is in italian, but you will sure find the english version. The author is French.

    Cheers

  • @celticwitan yup, one of the most distinct features of the general celtic cultures is thick lips :D

i get the same thing a lot, people dont believe me when i say my family is primarily celtic, they say i look too german/italian/british (yes...ive gotten that before, LOL!)

  • @celticwitan :-) chill man! She's wonderful, and I agree that Celts maybe brunette, but anyway you must admit that except for blue eyes she looks more Iranian than Ahmadinejad! :-D

  • @celticwitan Sorry but that is ridiculous. Have you read any of the old Irish stories. The people had blond, red and dark hair. One of the oldest Irish stories is about Deirdre of the Sorrows who had "green irised stormy eyes and blond hair eye blinding" The Irish and Scottish did not get their red and blond hair from the vikings. The highest concentration of red hair in the world is in Scotland and Ireland not Norway. There would have been dark hair amongst the Vikings also.

  • Uhh Miss, your dress. Miss? It's drier over here...

  • How about we shut the fuck up about how she looks and listen to the music?

  • @VanHelsingFreak super mate... rightly said ..kudos

  • She defiantly does not look Celtic, but who can blame anyone for wanting to be a part of our awesome culture?! Love the dresses and locations!!!!!!!!

  • Somebody is obsessed with William Waterhouse. ;)

  • @BelleNex

Haha yea, the "Lady of Shalott" & stuff. You are right...

  • this hurts my ears

  • what a song!

  • Cheap video. The music is just too good for the video.

  • magnifique O_o

  • I love the music but she don't look celtic

  • @TheWinterfox10 how pray should one Celtic look dear friend??

  • @LittleElfRecords She just has too much make up, and her lips are too large. People of Celtic descent such as yours truly have either light brown hair (such as the man in the video) or due too french influence have dark brown blackish hair. Also celtic people generally have thinner lips

  • This music makes you forget all your troubles :)

  • no....this adapted from Beautiful mind soundtrack >>composed by james horner !

  • nightwitch ?

  • God ! She's beautiful like a goddess ! ^^

  • @LynaLoopS yea, she's wearing a little too much make up though

  • @TheWinterfox10

ah yeah i'm agree, it's a little bit "too much like beautiful medieval lady in american films", but it's not an historical song, so... we don't care if it's not like in "celtic reality"

  • @LynaLoopS she's also really nice, I met her last year and we had a nice chat about Castlefest :)

  • @Maksimfan you met her? That's pretty cool... Loreena McKennit is another artist you should try to meet

  • @TheWinterfox10 If you like Loreena, you might also like Siobhan Owen on the @sharbas channel.

  • @TheWinterfox10 yeah I met all of the mediaeval baebes when they I went to one of their gigs last year :) I would love to meet Loreena Mckennit! :D

  • oh my good... :')

  • thanks..so wonderfull regards from a viking

  • Looks like the idea for this video was to combine romance novel cover with as many changes of outfit as they could muster for her.

  • @LilithP This is from a famous pre-Raphelite painting called 'The Lady of Shallot', which is a representation of Lord Tennyson's poem by the same name, which itself is loosely based on the story of Elaine of Astolat, who yearned with an unrequited love for the knight Sir Lancelot. A little education goes a long way :)

  • @coyotejacs I'm familiar with it, and I stand by what I said. Don't assume that because people don't share your assessment of the end result that they are ignorant of what you were going for.

  • @coyotejacs Thank you :)

  • my sea is different than the cold sea of ireland.....I say give me my sea any day of the week

  • Very good video.

    thank you

  • please could you email me this song?

  • Excellent! :)

  • Emily Ovenden is a GODDESS!

  • That was astounding. The music, your voice, how that all looked, it was so wonderful. I really could believe that story. Wonderful job.

  • so we have her as ~ISOLDE~ISEULT of the white hands as there are two in the story,

    YSEULT~ISOLT~

and TRISTAN WAS ORIGIONALY ~TRISTRAM....these stories came from the welsh triads, and chopped n changed throughout the ages..

  • i may have spelt them wrong but the way of her name is said is different in other countries, like isolda, isoulte iseut ~not iolanthe she was from gilbert and sullivans opera..sorry.the book i have now she is Isuet,,,

  • Emily Ovenden on sitting on the boat reminds me of that painting of the Lady of Shalott...the Pre-Raphaelite painting.

This song is so sad... Emily's voice is so beautiful.

  • i would say this is Tristan~n~Isulte`

  • @NerysTudor if im not mistaken, do you mean Tristan and Isolde?

No harm meant, only just a liitle confused =]

  • cool

  • really beautifull, thanks

  • BEAUTIFULL! :)

  • The Video is very "Lady of Shalott"

  • @Stonerayven I was just thinking the same thing

  • I need your help! My brother and I are in this huge argument about whats better, flutes or guitars. I'm convinced that flutes are the coolest thing ever and electric guitars are crap. He's convinced that guitars are most popular. I need your opinion. Flutes or electric guitars? After posting your answer on my channel, copy and paste this to at least 3 other channels. Thank you!

  • @TheFlutification Why, of course it's flute! Guitar is too modern... Flutes are extremely ancient instruments going back many centuries.

  • Wow I thought this said the Batman. My bad. Still okay.

  • i don't understand the words but is very soothing to hear she has a lively voice

  • she passes into the kingdom

  • I like the mood of her and her voice, settings and dress of a bygone age, yes very nice and mysterious.

    She's regular on Classic TV.
