They're right - Madge and Harold were. They were in the titles previously but had left (so were removed) and then came back again. The producers waited until the episode after this to update the titles (Madge and Harold back in and remove Marlene and Helen)

I was devastated by this - cried for months afterwards, seriously. I had grown up watching her from the age of 7 to 19 - was like my TV gran. What made it worse was that it was so close to reality as she was nearing death in real life.

Helen Daniels was one of those characters who made neighbours back in the day. This scene gets me as shortly afterwards she died in real life.....end of an era. RIP Helen Daniels/Ann Haddie thanks for all the entertainment throughout neighbours

Max Ramsay shagged Paul's mom, which is the basic jist of it. The new Ramsay kids were entitled to a share of the estate because of the will, and they ended up moving into the old Ramsay family household because they needed a home, which they got through the Salvos.

For many Neighbours fans this was truly the end of an era with the departure of the final original cast member. Who knows what Ramsay Street would be like now if Helen Daniels were still around.

@ustud18 Probably a bit more cuddly than it is now. But even if her health was better and she lived longer, I still think Anne Haddy would have left eventually anyway. After all, Madge died in 2001, since Anne Charleston got pissed off with how Madge became so meek and peripheral, and even Harold has gone (although he will shortly return for a guest appearance).

No she didn't. Anne Haddy died in 1999 which was 2 yrs after her on screen character of Helen Daniels died.

You misread my comment before attempting to correct me. I did not mention anything about her dying in real life around the same time she did onscreen because I know she died 2 years later. If you care to read AGAIN, i said that I heard a rumour that the actress also passed away after watching the video her character was watching in the show.

That's because they had returned as guests but then left again (and were removed from the credits). They then returned again as regulars. They didn't bother updating the credits until after Helen had died.
