Second of all; although I wouldn´t exactly call the manga a book, anyone who´s read a book and then seen the movie knows that the movie is never even a tenth as good as the book. AKA, IF the series would be put into a live action it would blow! And don´t get me started about how the two series were good. Anyone who says the manga is just as good as the series or the OVA don´t have a good enough taste to even watch the series or read the manga.

To all of you that s babbling on and on about a live action movie; there´s two small details you completely and totally forget. First of all, the creators of the OVA have a tremendous amount of trouble working out how to animate the scenes in the manga (some of which I´ve heard are IMPOSSIBLE to animate). There´s no friggin way that this series could be turned into a live action movie, unless it is just as much F/X as in Final Fantasy or Sky Captain.

Johnny Depp would be good for the part if he was about ten inches taller. Alucard is supposed to be 200cm, which is roughly 6'7". I'm more interested in who would play Alexander Anderson. I'm thinking Tyler Mane would be good if he got some lifts in his shoes. He's already pretty huge at 6'8", but Anderson is a GIANT. No matter what, I would love to see that.

johnny depp is to short to play alucard..... the acter needs to be over 6'1" at least. i would be tempted to say michael wincott, "top-dollar" from "The Crow" for those that dont recognise the name, but im unsure, as i dont think he's tall enough either.
