  • 5:40 LOL

  • Good choice of voice actors. They sure caught the spirit of the original.

  • Why is this version so short. Where can I find the 88 minute version?

  • @RaoulWeatherell1 The full movie is available for sale through Caprino's webshop. Please use the link at the end of the video description for more information.

  • Two thirds of the movie dies a horrible death with the english voiceover

  • very inpiring video.. thanks for the upload!.. Im going to build my own supperrcarr now!

  • Sorry 'bout that last comment... Got a little over-exited...

  • why did you dub this? I liked it much better in norwegian like it SHOULD be!

  • They ruined the movie by dubbing it.

  • Haha, litt bedre på norsk?

  • Awesome movie, a true classic.

  • This is a very good translation, and true to the original characters.

  • The english language is much more colourfull than this... too bad !

  • This is so wrong in english. It sounds like stephen fry now

  • Reodor høres nokså creepy ut egentlig.

  • Du store verden dra meg baklensgs gjennom fuglekassen!! HAHA! C:

  • This is wrooong! It needs to be on Norwegian! :O

  • @VCaspersen but nobody except norwegians would understand it :D

  • @shairaptor True :) But still... It is best in norwegian ;)

  • OMG this turned me on so badly i punched my cat in the face

  • @TheEllenor thats so wrong

  • George Lucas (purportedly) used many elements of this film to build the pod-race segments of "Phantom Menace".

  • @RouserTheRebel Akkurat samme tenkte jeg :)

"good understandig of the english language" :p

  • @RouserTheRebel

    keyboardet e ikkje alltid med

  • @plainlake Helt enig :) Very good indeed

  • @plainlake 'A good understanding of the english language''? If that was true, you would've known that it is ''a'' very good translation rather than ''an'', and ''to'' the original characters rather than ''too''.

    Idiot.

  • @MacGyver920 wow, Do you consider yourself a good human beeing?

  • Comment removed

  • @plainlake Did I hurt your feelings? LOL

  • @MacGyver920 Annoying little prick arent you?

  • @plainlake Lol, you're mad because I owned you, kid.

  • @MacGyver920 Annoyed because you were unable to read the x amount of comments pointing out the same damn error. And on top of that, doing it like a 13 year old brat. So yeah, mad. If that was your objective you have succeeded. :P

  • @plainlake Why brag about your 'English skills' when you suck ass?

  • @MacGyver920 At what point did I brag? I had a high rated comment, because my statement concerning this clip is true. My understanding in how well the norwegian language were beeing translated to english, in VERBAL form. But I understand that seeing this made you feel that your E-penis were inadequate and had to act out with your grammar-nazism. you sad, sad person.. .

  • @plainlake LOL

  • This film was my favorit when I was a little kid. In norway the film is very famous

  • @slyrene222 yeah this film is the most seen in Norway

  • @Poulsbo1975 gosh... you even made me write capitol, instad of capital. shame on you

  • @Poulsbo1975 get your facts right before you write. Norway and Sweden are two different countries. Capitol of Sweden is Stockholm, capitol of Norway is Oslo.

  • OSLO is the capital of Norway.. the move is NORWEGiAN... the capital of Sweden is STOCKHOLM... O-K?

  • This film is the reason for the existence of Koenigsegg cars.

  • the song makes me depressed :-( even thought i love this movie... so much memories :-) Go norway :)

  • @Poulsbo1975 wow, really? that's like saying it's Canadian not American. SWEDEN IS A TOTALLY DIFFERENT COUNTRY SUPPEHUE

  • @bendikn Så jævelig enig azz

  • @Spartan117JMC du var tili på'n

  • @bendikn kan vel si det ^^

  • I bought the video tape on ebay many years ago. (The English version) I remember calling Ivo Capriono himself, asking where to buy it, and he suggested to just look for old copies, because there were not made any new ones.

Its in English so English speaking people can understand it too, to you who complains ;o) I treasure my English copy as well as the Norwegian DVD. Great childhood memories!

  • @northernlightslady wow i got it on VHS... its out on DVD?

  • @Spartan117JMC Check here: caprino.no/start/en/default.asp

  • @northernlightslady thank you :D

  • @northernlightslady ill keep the VHS though...

  • Oh my stars! It must be more than ten years since I last saw this animation.

As a future dad I would like to add: I'll play this DVD every day for my future kids ;)

  • I love this movie, its from 1975, I was in the movies 3 times to watch it back then ;-)

  • @MrJumper68 Loooooooooool thats a good one ;-)

  • @Poulsbo1975 It Norwegian, not Swedish :-)

  • Wow, I hated that movie! But I've seen it SO many times anyway.. It reminds me of my childhood..

  • rudolf jump's over the "dangerous suspension bridge". rofl

  • brings back memories haha

  • Hmm . this movie are original Norwegian aren't it ?

  • @xXFRISJEXx Yes it is...it`s wonderfull in norwegian...looses some in the translation I think...It`s my favourite movie...this is a short one ofe the movie..

  • @xXFRISJEXx Yes :)

  • I'm from Norway and i think the english dubing is good =)

  • hva heter han den mannen? 0:56

  • @TorsvikChannel

  • hahaha english version of the god ol movie we in norway grow up whit

every one in norway knows it

childs, adults and even old people know who they are

  • Well ive only watched it in danish, countless times though... But i can say that the english version sucks and i bet the norwegian ( original version ) is much better than the danish swedish and english :3

  • u know the monkey has the same voice in all of the movies.. ! :P

  • @jasa2724 haha monkey :P its not monkey :P

  • sorry, but this does not work for me....I need it on Norwegian :P

  • still think its better in Norwegian :P

  • @malenegb of course it is :D its norwegian :D

  • Its translated into 70 Languages so I guess I wouldnt say its wrong..Still.. It has its charm..And such a great movie.. Just needs to be in many languages!

  • Wrong with English translations? Give me a break! It's excellent! Do we want non-Norwegian youngsters to get the most out of this or not?

  • i thing the transelations are good, if u had transelated it 100% correct, reodor would be called reodor rim, cus he's called reodor felgen in norwegian:P

  • i hate the english translation

  • Well its an EPIC movie regardless of the dubbing.. I grew up hearing it in danish but I still find this extremely well done. translating something from one language to another isn't always as easy as it looks. you got to take in consideration that some things said in norwegian dont "fit" when said in english and vice versa.. Still I love this movie.. it is and will always be a CLASSIC!

  • Comment removed

  • @druzea Plus, when you hear something a million times like most of us Norwegians have with this movie, anything else is gonna sound just wrong.

  • @sparks444 i agree, except I'm Danish LOL.. anyways, what I meant was - some terms, phrases are not translated very well either way. When translated, they sound so wrong and out of place in the language they're translated into that it makes little or no sense at all. Luckily for us scandinavians, we have a some similarities in our languages which doesn't make it all that hard to understand and "convert".

    Enough said :P

  • I haven't seen this since I was about 5, I loved it as a kid and still do. But on a general point I can remember how it sounded in english when I was a kid, and I think that this version is different somehow. Maybe its because I watched it on VHS and now this is digital, but I think its more than that, this sounds re-vamped somehow. Still I guess I could be talking out my arse. Great film back then and still is, very entertaining.

  • I'm Norwegian, having seen the original version a 100 times, but I think it sounds cool :)

  • Ok, we all have to admit that it sounds totally stupid, but Norwegians have dubbed so many great movies throughout the time, and we shoud just be happy that somone actually cared to dub a Norwegian movie :D

  • What the f*** happened to "Dra mæ baklengs inn i fuglekassa"?

  • haha, så syyyykt kleint å høre på

  • It's great that they kept Harald Heide Steen Jr's original dubbing for Emmanuel Desperados also in the international versions :)

  • WHAT?!

    NO Leif Juster?!

    This is blasphemy. :<

  • Bad voices, much better in norwegian, but england should be allowed tu dub this movie. to all of you acting like you mean it is wrong to dub just because it is an old Norwegian film. you dont need to watch it if you dont like it

  • Yoy stupid fello norwegians, why the fuck would anyone from a drifrent country wanto watch this in norwegian language???? they would not understand any thing, and to those who says, well the norwegian voices are so funny, well you dumb fuck, tho forigners everything would sound funny, but it doesent mean the would like it.A nd what does norwegians do if they put on a channel, ands its a good movie on,but hey,its in spanish,we change the fucking channel!!!!

  • Therefor the film meant a lot to me. Have enjoyed seeing it every time. And although I've just seen it in English, so I can still remember Helge Kjaerulff Schmidt's voice. So the movie is told in English, Danish, Norwegian or Swahili, is it unique!

My children must have the opportunities to see the film as I had. AND I hope that they will enjoy it as much as myself.

  • This film has meant a lot to me, because that Ivo, said to have visited my grandparents when he had started making the film. Think the reason was that my grandfather, then worked with Danish National Radio, and may have helped to choose who should be the Danish cast.

  • John Cleese should bee the narrator of this film.

  • eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee.........

    Hva faen?

I don't get it, why ruin a beautiful movie like this? Oo

  • this is just weird, norwegian voices are the natural of this film :)

  • And I daresay at lot of the dialogue has been made nicer, in a bad way (political correctness and all). Also it seems to have been stupefied some, but I really can't tell from this short clip.

And a lot of the Norwegian puns and... hmmm, terms? have been lost.

  • If anyone from outside Norway watches this, you should seriously find the norwegian version and at least hear the voices, they are seriously way better imho.

Just search for flåklypa grand prix here at youtube

  • damn the english voices sucks, i miss the old voices!

  • damn monkey

  • Norwegian is way better :P

  • dude.. theodor sounds like a kind of "super villan" with that voice :P

great movie (can't say i like the dubb the originale can't be beaten)

  • savna Leif Juster her as :( :(

  • Hmm very hard to dub Flåklypa from a Norwegian perspective I guess. Some of the vocies like Soland and the news lady fit really well, but Ludvig sounds too dark and as if he's about to get a heart attack. Theodore doesnt have the grandfatherly feeling to him. The bad guy (slimål?) sounds more jolly than sly&cunning. You also loose some of the jokes like the "farlig norsk hengebru", but this you also do in the subtitled version.

  • this is not the right flåklypa! you shoud look it at norwegian! im from Norway!

  • bra film

  • i saw this like 20 times when I was a kid..... and now I own the DVD :-D

  • After watching 2.5 min of it: the teller voice is very good. But the three main characters.. not anywhere near good at all. Still nice for children with English as mother thougue and who can't read yet though.

  • its just wrong with translation

  • @mgf60

No. Its just different from your own nostalgia and love for it as you saw/remember it in your own past.

  • burde ikke vært lov å dubbe flåklypa!

  • lumburt = Ludvig lolz

  • pinchcliffe høres lame ut xD

  • magic

  • burde ikkje vært lov å dubbe Flåklypa!

  • wow, its sucks on english

  • ai ai ai... detta var leit. Kutta i hjæl.

  • HAHAHAHA !!!

he does sound like The Joker !! :P

and Lumbert sounds like Treebeard in LOTF :P

  • @superkush91 Hahaha :D

What is this shit, it`s cut. You can`t see the small funny details that are so god....... I will soon upload the Ivo Caprino collection :) hope you will enjoy

  • Woo, sounds muuuch better on norwegian, but can't expect everything, can you?

  • @AzureFaint I like it surprisingly well in English, but of course, the Original is always better

  • lol 4:53

  • This was on UK TV in 1984/1985, a Saturday morning show of whose name escapes me with "Lets here it for the boy"'s music video playing before hand.

It took until tonight for me to remember part of it was called "Grand Prix" (Google: movie animated grand prix).

    Thanks for the memories.

  • Theodor høres ut som the Joker :P

  • He does, he totally sounds like the

    Joker :)

  • BTW (sorry for posting again), where is part 2 of 2? Can't find it (Jan. 10. 2010).

  • 5:28

  • This is cut to pieces, not in any way like the original/actual English/Norwegian version. But you get a hint about what it's about.

As Frozime said, the translation is not as good as in Norwegian, as it don't quite capture all the "strange" Norwegian humor. But, the English version is quite OK, none the less :)

PS! I have actually been a passenger in this car (full size, 1000 horse power+++ twin engine) car, in Bergen (around a lake), Norway :)
