  • its easy what kind of genre this is.........

"Aaeris" (Every band/whatever has its own genre, deal with it.)

Now stop whining about all the genre stuff.

Great find mate!! Enjoying it allot! Haven't been here for a while again.

Love to see you still upload these masterpieces.

  • @metaltijsi thanks :-) glad you like it.

  • No dopiče, to je nářez! :D

  • Awesome!! \m/

  • Hey Zetsushoren! Correct, both songs have been released as singles. I´m working now on next song which could be kicked out at the end of December 2011. All these song I do as my education how to record, how to mix and master. I have some vision to do some complex record lately when I am sure about my sound-technical skills ;o) Anyway, thank you very much for being interested in my music. I´m glad for that.

  • What's the album's name? Or not unless both this and Abnormal Perception are single-released songs?

  • @taxi911 Dude shut up and get a life. If you are that focused on the genre you're not getting the point of music.

  • @MattHutzell How about you shut the fuck up and kiss my ass? If anyone's going to run his mouth at me, I will talk back. I don't know what your mother taught you, but I don't back down.

If you missed it, I'm not the one that started this shit, I was talking to another guy.

Normally, I wouldn't give 2 shits about genres, but if someone's going to do it, they better do it right and give the Djent-lemen their full due and credit them.

  • Sounds good.

  • NEXT SUBGENRE IS CALLED "UIZ UIZ UIZ"

just cause guitar makes that tone!

holy shit the whole djent thing is so ridiculous!

  • Rofl comments bellow...hey I don't fuckin' care what genre it is... Author called it progressive so it will stay like that. This sorting into djent isn't really necessary. You mentioned admins of Metal-archives ... you know who are those admins, dont you? Anyone like you or me...people who registred to these sites. That reminds me...theres isnt anything about djent on metal-archives com ....

honestly its the most stupid sorting I've ever heard..

  • Sounds more like Djent.

  • @huoJqumopepisdn Dj-Dj-Dj-Djent Dj-Dj-Djent!!! You're right though. Some people still fail to recognize Djent as a Djenre though. They classify it as... Um.... Progressive Metal?

  • @taxi911

Because Djent is Progressive Metal... Djent is a Subgenre of Progressive Metal, it is not a Genre on it's own...

  • @RenzXVI

With all the bands dedicated to it, it's a legit Genre, Sub only to Metal. More than 80% of the 100s of Djent projects listed with Got-Djent?/Djent-Lemen don't even make past the filtering process (neither as Progressive, nor Djent) by the admins at the Metal-Archives unless it's, primarily, a Metal-Based Djent sound (even though they list tons of other Progressive blends).

Djent, now, has distinctive sounds. Metal-based, and non-Metal based.

  • @taxi911

but Djent style is still progressive therefore it is still under progressive... just because lot's of bands do it now, it doesn't mean it's a new genre... it is still accepted as a sub-genre of progressive metal...

  • @RenzXVI

It does borrow the Progressive element, but in no way entirely Progressive, nor Metal (Especially the latter).

    Meshuggah's Metal, TesseracT isn't.

    Xerath's Metal, Periphery isn't.

    Loomis's Metal, Tosin's band isn't.

And by your logic then, Black & Death Metal should be considered Sub-Genres of Thrash then, since that's where the roots lie. Yet, they stand tall as their own. I don't see why Djent can't, because they sound different than most of the legit Progressive bands.

  • @taxi911 lol by your logic, a guitar tone should merit its own genre?.

  • @xMischiefAndMurderx It's not my logic, it's the obviously obvious. The "guitar tone" expanded beyond the confinements of being a mere guitar tone (along with complex time signatures & song structures, and grinding groovey riffs) into a common element between a legion of bands, just like any other genre/sub-genre sharing common elements between the bands. That's what a Djent band is now defined by. The guitar tone, time signatures/song structures, groovey sound.

  • @taxi911

WTH, I don't give a damn if the bands you are saying are Rock or Metal, I just meant it is still progressive because djent is progressive... and I didn't say there should be no sub genres, black metal and death metal had their own genres because they are FAR from the roots! Djent is progressive, Djent is just a style of progressive so it becomes a sub genre not a separate genre... if death metal band riffs go chug, chug, chug, are you gonna call it chug metal? LOL

  • @RenzXVI If you don't give a damn, then stop complaining. Djent may have Prog elements, but not all Djent is METAL, thus it can't be PROGRESSIVE METAL - which is why Djent is a thing of its own. Stylistic roots lying in Progressive elements is as close as it gets.

Also, in case you missed it before, I did say that Djent has surpassed the boundaries of being a mere Guitar Tone. All Djent bands have their sound, complexity, and groovy riffs in common. That's what makes a Djent band.

  • @taxi911

I meant I don't give a damn about Djent being Metal or Rock, I agree that Djent can be either Rock or Metal but still Djent is PROGRESSIVE! Djent is not a main genre, it is just a sub genre. Djent could sound different if it has mixed elements from other genres the band has influences on but that doesn't make it a new genre, the core sound of Djent is still Progressive. besides, you are the only one here who insists your theory. Djent is not Progressive? blasphemy!

  • @RenzXVI And I will keep insisting on my theory. You say it's Progressive Metal. A lot of it isn't even Metal.

If it can't fall under Prog Metal or Prog Rock, it definitely is Djent then. There is no lingering category simply called Progressive. Progressive is a mere element. There can be Prog Metal, Prog Rock, Prog Pop, Prog Death Metal, but there will never be PROGRESSIVE standing alone. Progressive is an ELEMENT - and it is found in Djent.

  • @taxi911

I AM NOT INSISTING IT IS PROG METAL! can you read or not? i just said it is prog to make it a general term, get it? i need to explain everything? djent can be rock or metal etc, the same with prog because djent is prog! anyway, look at what you said:

"Progressive is an ELEMENT - and it is found in Djent" -taxi911

you lost to yourself... Djent is progressive and you said it yourself! the two are always tied to each other and that's a fact...

  • @RenzXVI

I never said Djent's Progressive. There's a difference between saying Djent's Progressive & saying Djent has the Prog element. Prog can't exist alone without being incorporated into anything else, it's an element, not a Genre. Thus, Djent can't fall under Progressive unless you want to call it Progressive Djent. Not to mention it sounds different than most typical Prog-Rock/Metal.

Just because a Black person has an Asian gene does not make him fall under the Asian category.

  • @taxi911

of course, it's your story :D what else do we not know about Djent? you should write a book about it...

  • @RenzXVI Yeah, I totally should though! Dj-Dj-Dj-Djent-Dj-Dj-Djent!

  • @taxi911 lol bands like Born of Osiris and Messugah did odd time signatures way before djent.

  • @xMischiefAndMurderx True, but if you missed it, Djent hasn't been around as a Genre since the 90s. It was fairly recent. Probably the last 2 years. It was, however, limited to being a guitar tone before that.

  • sounds like fl studio or something? good song btw...
