you use multiple layers and various effects (chroma keyer, masking, cookie cutter, opacity setting etc) to make the two clips appear together in the way you want

Absolutely wonderful! You did a terrific job with this, despite the setbacks! And thank you for taking me back to my childhood. This was my favorite movie when I was younger, and I missed it.
