"Germany was going to win that war" My World War 1 history isn't as good as my World War 2 history, but I'm pretty sure the Naval Blockade that was placed on Germany caused widespread starvation and protest. Over 700,000 people died of starvation if I remember correctly. The Blockade was still being placed on Germany even after 1918, helping the Allies force Germany into signing the Treaty of Versailles. If I'm wrong correct please anyone.

As well as being interested in economics, I'm a real buff on the Nazis and the Second World War...which sounds weird but oh well.

From what I have studied, the Western Front in 1940 proved that Germany did well IN SPITE of her economy, because it was mercantile, state-ran and produced machines very inefficiently. The Eastern Front was lost BECAUSE of Germany's economic weakness: Russia was extremely feeble, her armed forces were disorganised and useless, and her output per head was very low.
