I think AC2 is like hitman 2 when it comes to franchises. Hitman 2 ws amazing, the games that came later werent as good as hitman 2. Same with AC. AC: Brotherhood was not as good as AC2

@aks19880 Well, to be fair, Brotherhood was like AC 2.5, and used the same main character and, basically, the same location. Obviously, it's not going to have quite the same effect as a brand new game with a new assassin taking the leading role in a brand-new historic location.

I can't believe how mad in love I am with this game, which I think is because of the new glyph puzzles (which are very interesting) and a lot of the new features in Assassin's Creed II. I got bored with the first one, but the second one is kick-ass!

I think it would be great to have another few sequels, but I'm actually looking forward to play as Desmond, who obviously will be the last assassin you get to play. The developers said it is intended to be a Triology. We'll see...

ac is epic! you cant play ac2 without having played ac1. otherwise you kinda lose a bit of the story... even though you still get the jiff from ac2.

im a new ac fan, and i got ac2 for my birthday. i tried it because i heard it was good, and i loved it! the realistic of history, the incredible killing and assasinations, and the long cinematic detailed stories. i havent played the first ac but im not sure if i want to because i heard ac2 is better. but all in all, i hope ac3 will be better! :D

Yeah I agree. I played AC2 first like you and liked the story so much that I bought AC1 and beat it. AC2 is better since there's more features and moves than AC1 but if you want to get the full story, I would recommend playing the first game, its much shorter than the 2nd and will fill in a few key points in the story.

I just bought the first AC, and it's alright. BUT, I would only get it if you are interested in the story and want to learn a few things from the first game. You pretty much do the same thing in the first game. Climb view points, help citizens, etc. It gets a bit boring, but it's still fun I guess. AC2 is much more bigger.

@furypjr You did a wrong move. if you played the first game before the second, you would've been amazed. now you won't. But I still recommend it. I personally finished it over 6 times and I still come back for more. I love AC1, and It never gets old. I recommend it if you like the poor medieval era and interested in Altair and the story at total.

The think it's interesting how the main issue within the memories of the first game is the conflict between western christian states and eastern islamic states which was (is) an important global issue at the time the game came out (right now), and how the main issue within the memories of this second game is a conflict of banks which is the current critical global issue - and it's coming out in Less Than A WEEK!

So, the trend *seems* to be that the memories in AC are actually social commentary.

Making it for Windows means you have to code it completely differently, plus the compatibility with graphic and audio codecs, etc.

The reason Ezio has all his fingers is: On AC one chopping the finger off to have room for the hidden blade was a sign of being a assassin. For Ezio he is a nobleman, so if he had the fingers missing it would give away his identity almost instantly making him recognised as a assassin, and also...The technology of the hidden blade works better. :D
