Shredders are basically guitar players with no actual musical talent, so instead of just giving up, they decide to just play as fast as possible to cover up that fact.
Another huge dose of failure right here on the Internets for all to see.
people that leave cmments like this are the ones that wis hthey coul play that fast and wont take the time to learn cause theyd rather keep makin excuses :)
i dunno, i tried to like the technicality, but it just got to the point of me feeling like he was just a dude who was going "Hey look what I can do". Sorry, shred apparently just ain't for me : /
yeah it was custom. it has 24 karat grover elite tuners and instead of alnico for the pickups it is platiunm wiring. the headstock also has shards of moonrock.
yeah it was sent stock to a secret location and that is where it was customized. there was around the clock security to watch as the space-aged glue dried. every step in the process was documented through video surveilance. i was thinking about putting emerald cut tuners instead as well as changing the bridge to a piece of 3 million year old amber with a bee stuck in it. you know?
Yes, i have that guitar, except it weighs about 70 lbs. b/c the body is made out of the slab that Mosses brought the ten commandments from Mt. Zion on. yep...
I also have a C-1 exotic... It is a bit heavy, but the tone and sustain make up for it... you may want to hit the gym if you think this guitar is heavy. I have a Les Paul that is a lot heavier!
Umm, honestly this was pretty boring. Same Pentatonic/blues runs over again. Not that I can play that fast; not by any means. Unfortunately the consistent speed of the whole thing made it boring to my ears. Or maybe it was the dead high-gain neck pickup tone. Mixing up the fast runs with some melodic phrasing here and there with a tone that let you inflect more (or just some more inflection) would make it far more sonically appealling, IMO of course.
ye sertainly this one isnt that good, but personaly i think steve vai beats lynch, because vai has such unique shredding :) gilbert is so fun to watch playing, every second is a laugh of joy coz he's so great and plays with humour.. :D
Yeah it was nice, but all those guitar noobs who said he's the best they've seen, clearly haven't heard of George Lynch or Paul Gilbert. Those guys will blow malmsteen, vai and all your other "gods", straight out of the water. do a search, that's what youtube is for. be prepared to worship your new gods, noobs.
Dude, go out there, get a band, get a record deal and go make a fucking CD. And don't be a solo artist, I can really see this with a band and a singer if you added more chords to it.
i like hows hes not to much emphasizing on going fast ,but hes accutally putting nice chops in with it. Some of those are starard blues chops. He also dosent loose timing watsoever which is nice too. Your looking at the next fricken Stevie Ray Vaughn people. I havent seen much people that can shred like that.
i agree with you...but you're pretty far off about the Stevie thing. Stevie was about soul, not shredding. He could play some sick lines, but it was always tasteful. this is good, but not really tasteful or bluesy. you gotta have soul to be another stevie. try satch or vai.
first and foremost. excelent. excelent. thats all i can say. secondly, i have a Gibson SG but im thinking of getting a C1 classic, i saw a few at guitar center and they sounded pretty cool, any thoughts anyone?
yes. my buddy plays a c1 classic. the guitar is great for about any kind of playing. the fret board is wonderful, great quality and the feel to it is sweet aswell. but you should also try jackson or ltd/esp.
Hi, Just wanted to let you know that I really enjoyed your playing. Very melodic and inspiring. I played the c1 exotic at GC the other day. I really am thinking of buying one. What is your over all impressio of the guitar?
it's only on the pickups to protect them from dust and damage during shipping and handling, you're supposed to peel them off after purchase, or you can leave them on for further protection, although that might effect the sound a little
How come your bagging this, i rekon it sounds alright and i bet half of you couldnt do better. Either post a video of urself playing better than this or dont bag them.
Not bad at all... except the backround music. Honestly, you would've sounded better without it. Unless you needed the backround music to stay in time.
Sounds great

steveplaysbass 4 years ago
If that was a chops demonstration, 10/10. But if it was supposed to be musical, you need to have more melody and less shred.
