hey if have a few questions because im thinking of getting one.
question 1, does hpi supplie with all the tools to build this.
question 2, how long do you think it took you to bulid this.
question 3, does the instructions that are supplied, are they good.
and question 4, what transmitter do u use for this becasue i have a slash 4x4 and i want to no if you can bind that transmitter with this car since it doesnt come with a transmitter.
i have a 29 cc engine in mine. i have spark, fuel and good compression. wont start. any ideas? and can i ask, what is the gap between the flywheel and coil suppose to be?
The mixture is 25:1 for the SS's engine, which by my calculations (and remember i'm in the UK so don't work in gallons) works out at 3/4 of a pint of oil for 2 gallons of fuel. it'll take you a loooong time to get through 2 gallons of fuel though dude.
Pause the video at 5:20, see the screw hole on the top right of the clutch bell carrier? The manual shows a screw in this hole, when in fact it doesn't get fitted until several steps later.
Your cheapest option is just to buy the combo deal from someone like ModelSport. That way you get all the electrics for £100 more than the kit price, which is less than you could buy it all for. After that all you need is petrol and paint.
Step 52 most of have been hard. How did you get it go flat. I might have to get one of these baja for my self. Looks chanllgeing but i think i can do it.Please reply back to me asap. THANKS
Hi, I ended up using a vice and a small hammer very very carefully. If you get one there's every chance it'll be fine. Mine was probably just a dodgy batch. I'm sure you can do it, it's easy enough.
Thanks for the info. I might get one for my birthday on OCT 14 coming up or christmas. The way you do makes me want to get one even more. THANKS VERY MUCH
The SS version works out quite a bit more expensive, but in my opinion it's very much worth it. Superbly engineered and a lengthy build. You also get a lot of upgrades in the SS kit that you don't get in the RTR.

@dotbadburn for all the mix you whant to do you need to use this
5 gallons of fuel for 500ml of oil
ex: for 2 gallons you do this: 500ml x 2 gallons / 5 gallons =200ml :D

Um, yeah, I know. The commentary on the video says "Manual Mistake". I wonder how many people did it wrong and had to take it all off again.

my kid ended up braking the case because he followed the picture.. i complained to hpi but never recieved an answer. ..their support sucks!!!!!!!

Sorry for the lack of sound, you would think the bands I originally used would be grateful for any playback they get these days, but apparently not.
