I loved the fact you could see him tackle some of the most extreme situations imaginable & then he'd sit down around a campfire & show you his recepie for cooking up some scones & a cup of tea!

Malcolm aged 23 & a mate went on a 6 month trip around Australia which turned into 4 years, which they filmed, & turned into the 'Across the Top' documentary, which holds the rating record for a doco on Aussie TV, followed by 50 more documentaries he made for Ch 7 & 9., including top ranking 'In The Bush With Malcolm Douglas' on Ch7 ~he was a top bloke from the Top end ~ R.i.P

Malcolm you the MAN!!! I used to watch every single episode growing up and I reckon he is a legend. Soon as I heard that music at the start of the show I was glued to the tv. I wish I had a chance to go on one of his outings up north to get a feed of barra and mud crabs. One great Australian is he.
