REFURBISHED means that apple took used internal macbook parts and repaired a macbook then put on a brand new case so you couldnt tell if its new or refurbished.They do test these so its acually better for a refurbished one because its sure to work ts tested by apple techs.

As for a new one its just thrown in a box after the assembly line from being made.think about it machines that make them can mess up once in a million ..lol but an apple tech in super physical and looks over everything.

No, RAM doesnt stop your lag. Well it depends what you mean by lag. If you mean the proper version of lag as in ping or latency (How fast your online connection is) NO, RAM will not speed that up. RAM WILL however, increase the FPS (Frames Per Second) in many 3D games. 4GB is really the most you'll need.

I litteraly built a pc two years ago for 1,000 dollars that is still as powerful as Mac desktops for 2,000 today. QQ macs are over priced cause they have to get there profit off the few they sell.
