What family is the rottweiler in, I used to think they were fat doberman's, but I got older and realized they are nothing alike. They could be mastiffs, but that wouldnt explain the thick bushy tail, and silky coat. They could be shepherds, but they bite livestock. Maybe they are a breed of they're own.
@StefyStuff rotts acctually are in the mastiff family and they were used to herd cattle as well as pull carts rottw are a very versitile breed that can be used for anything
I miss my boy after i watched your video. We had to give him away when we move to interstate. It was so sad the day we took him to new home. we couldn't stop crying all the way back home. I always miss him.

last year, Perla, my rotty, passed away, i was gonna sell the house for the 25% expensive chance to save her, but others had to convince me that I was being selfish by wanting to keep her alive and suffering. I miss her so much. There is no other dog that is as loyal as the rottweiler. To anyone that is fighting against dog cruelty, keep fighting and remember the name milkbone because by 2013 I will have lots of money to support the fight through a profession i am workin on. This made me cry ,we sadly lost our Rotty/German Shepherd pups at 3 weeks they caught Parvo,bottle fed them as their Mum was too ill to feed them herself not through Parvo. Sadly they contracted Parvo at our vet,s after I took them there for a check up.

That was beautiful, I have a Rotti he was rescued from a place of neglect. I don't care what anyone says they are the most funniest, adorable, affectionate and loyal dogs you could ever own. His little brother is a Jack Russel, I think he wishes when he grows up he will be just as big., can't convince otherwise, but he adores his big brother follows him everywhere.
Thumbs up to all the great pet owners out there, in particular to the Rotti owners, someone has to stand up for them.

Proud Owner of Two Reg. Rottweilers! My old Rottweiler died of old age she was 14 years old I grew up around her. I am 19 going on twenty and Not a single other breed is best for me. My Rottweilers are not mean at all, they may just lick ya to death lol. its on up bringing Dogs mirror their owners.
Of our 4 dogs, our Rott is the only pure breed. 3 Shelter mutts, and a Rott they were going to give away because the little boy didn't want her anymore and had her live outside by herself for 6 months. She has become my best friend. I will never be without a Rott again.
i miss my rottie-- benjie whenever i'm not home.. she plays with every household member, watches our bedroom doors all night, keeps all other dog's puppies like her own.. these rotties are just wonderful friends.. never lets you down..
I miss my Zeus deeply! He was my best friend for nearly 14 years and had to put him down just days before his birthday. My rotti would travel with me everywhere. When I first picked him up his legs would not fit across the span of my hand. In the end I could hardly pick him up he was so big and heavy. Never did this dog cause me any distress but pure unabated happiness. I am hoping to find a good breeder and get another rotti next spring. They are such a magnificent breed of dog!

Yep, it's now (thankfully) illegal in alot of countries, also like her in Ireland.
Back years ago, it was cut off because a dogs tail would be dragging in mud when in fields and could get caught in carts when pulling them up hills and stuff
tails are cut on working/fighting breeds so you can't pull them off whatever they are on and its a sensitive area if bitten by another dog.....also as 2legit89 says "for that look"....i hv a rott w/ tail.... he was a dbl shelter return....too old to get docked....but he still has the same amount off teeth...lol
A long time ago when they were used for cattle dogs, they were always near manure, and it would build up in their tail and get heavy and gross and sometimes cause spinal problems (occasionally death) so they got rid of the tail to help that. Also, because they had no tail, their weight is on the front end, enabling them to trot a long time without tiring. When they began to live in the house, it was convienient not to have tails because they hit things over and injured tails became common.

I think one of the hardestthings you could ever go through is losing a pet/family I lost my rottie because he intestines twisted and turned black so we had to put her to sleep... just seeing her eyes open a minute ago and watch them close was probably the saddest things i could ever see....

Proud Owner of Two Reg. Rottweilers! My old Rottweiler died of old age she was 14 years old I grew up around her. I am 19 going on twenty and Not a single other breed is best for me. My Rottweilers are not mean at all, they may just lick ya to death lol. its on up bringing Dogs mirror their owners.

Of our 4 dogs, our Rott is the only pure breed. 3 Shelter mutts, and a Rott they were going to give away because the little boy didn't want her anymore and had her live outside by herself for 6 months. She has become my best friend. I will never be without a Rott again.

i miss my rottie-- benjie whenever i'm not home.. she plays with every household member, watches our bedroom doors all night, keeps all other dog's puppies like her own.. these rotties are just wonderful friends.. never lets you down..

I have had 2 Rotties Sadie a bitch, who passed away age 10, she will never be forgotten.
and now we have a boy ( MR BOJANGLES) nearly 2.
both my dogs were, and are fantastic the most loyal breed.

I miss my Zeus deeply! He was my best friend for nearly 14 years and had to put him down just days before his birthday. My rotti would travel with me everywhere. When I first picked him up his legs would not fit across the span of my hand. In the end I could hardly pick him up he was so big and heavy. Never did this dog cause me any distress but pure unabated happiness. I am hoping to find a good breeder and get another rotti next spring. They are such a magnificent breed of dog!

wonderful video those pups r so cute i have a rottweiler mix german shepherd and he is so cut he looks like the one u have with the yellow collar mine is 5 months and 2 days he is so big but we dont have any fences around our yard so he has 2 be chained up but were going 2 move 2 a place where the yard is fenced soon i wanted 2 know how much 4 a pure breed rottweiler

hii i have a question .. i want to buy a rottweiler puppy but i heard that they dont dock there tails anymore as its illegal or something in Australia.

Yep, it's now (thankfully) illegal in alot of countries, also like her in Ireland.
Back years ago, it was cut off because a dogs tail would be dragging in mud when in fields and could get caught in carts when pulling them up hills and stuff

tails are cut on working/fighting breeds so you can't pull them off whatever they are on and its a sensitive area if bitten by another dog.....also as 2legit89 says "for that look"....i hv a rott w/ tail.... he was a dbl shelter return....too old to get docked....but he still has the same amount off teeth...lol

A long time ago when they were used for cattle dogs, they were always near manure, and it would build up in their tail and get heavy and gross and sometimes cause spinal problems (occasionally death) so they got rid of the tail to help that. Also, because they had no tail, their weight is on the front end, enabling them to trot a long time without tiring. When they began to live in the house, it was convienient not to have tails because they hit things over and injured tails became common.

Just thank of you, you are are real couple and a real family with your babysss your dogs. Thank. I've also a women rot. she's 9 old and she have 6 months in is breath... Not for all but for's lovely comportement. That's all!!! thank you!!!!!!!!!!!

I think one of the hardestthings you could ever go through is losing a pet/family I lost my rottie because he intestines twisted and turned black so we had to put her to sleep... just seeing her eyes open a minute ago and watch them close was probably the saddest things i could ever see....

Beautiful footage! I have my boyfriend's Rott living with me now and he's the love of my life. I had a Chow Chow who passed away in 2006 and I didn't think I could be around another dog so soon.
