I would love to see them go to South Africa and announce that they're black, real blacks would laugh at them. ( Especially 2:37 ) and that guy, are those two even half black?
@MagicMutilator6000 - I doubt it, because anybody with an ounce of common sense know that blacks in America are not of pure African Blood anymore. We America Blacks are all mixed, but to various degrees. Most of the blacks in South Africa and other Black African Countries are pure blood African.
@americanpatriot00 Yea but those two are like a quarter black, I mean i still wouldn't consider them white but I can definitely say that they're Not black. And claiming to be black for them is just plain silly if you compare them to pure blooded blacks.
@americanpatriot00 No it's not that shocking at all, it's obvious. Only a small percentage of blacks look like actual Africans. More look light skin. What is your opinion on this topic? does it make you angry?
@MagicMutilator6000 - CONTRARY TO POPULAR BELIEF...When you speak of actual Africans, (excluding European settlers originally from Europe) blacks are not exclusive to the continent. Africans from Egypt typically look different from Africans in Kenya. Africans from Morocco typically look different from the Africans in Somalia.
The diversity in looks that can be seen in American Blacks today is largely due to race mixing. None of this makes me angry because I am not ignorant to it.
@americanpatriot00 When I say 'black' I'm talking about the pure negroid race. As we all know, most blacks in Egypt are not racially pure. Not to mention horn Africans (Somalis, ect.) are only part negroid (black) and part semetic/Arabic. So in the beginning, all Africans looked like Kenyans, Nigerians, Congolese... with typical Bantu facial features, black skin and black springy hair.
@MagicMutilator6000 Kenyan's look nothing like Nigerians. I am half Nigerian. Africa is the most racially diverse continent on earth. There is no such thing as a pure "negroid" race.
@ojideagu I can't differentiate between Kenyans and Nigerians, there is such thing as a pure negroid race you can clearly see it in the majority of Africans. Are you saying all Africans are mixtures of races?
@MagicMutilator6000 Have you even seen a Kenyan or a Nigerian? Kenyan's are tall and slim and the best long distance runners. Nigerians are stocky and well built and you seem them in sprinting events. You never seen Nigerians in long distance running.
Of course there are many different black races in Africa, Africa is not a country.
@ojideagu Let's put aside Spanish (because of their problems with the moorish race). Germanic, Celtic, and Slavonic are all pure European races, they are just subcategories of the white race. If you haven't noticed many Slavonic people have blue eye and blonde hair, just like some Celtic people do, not to mention many Germanic nations have people with blue eyes and blonde hair. Just like all of those tribes have people with red hair.
@MagicMutilator6000 I have seen many Italian and greek people and most look nothing like scandinavian or german people. What is your definition of "white"
Iranians can have blue eyes and blonde hair or green eyes, I have seen them myself.
That's the problem with race categories, they are flawed.
@ojideagu The only reason why a small percentage of Iranians have blue eyes/blonde hair because ancient Germanic tribes migrated southwards to Iran about some 7000 years ago. Northern Italians are genetically different than Sicilians, Sardinians, and Tuscany's because many of them mixed with Arabs just like many Greeks mixed with Turkic peoples. 'White' is basically, Slavonic, Germanic, Celtic, Baltic and original Hellenic (not the dark ones).
@ojideagu (Part II) Some European countries had foreign genes injected into them, mostly thru migrations and conquest, that's the only reason why many southern Europeans look a bit different, Otherwise they'd look just like Germans and French. Of course as you probably noticed, Austrians don't look that different than Swedes and French don't look that different than English.
@americanpatriot00 I agree that American blacks are all mixed to a degree. The term African American is stupid. However the one drop mentality that white is pure and every other mix is black, is totally bogus to me.
@americanpatriot00 THEY ARE NOT AFRICAN AMERICAN O MY GOD! MagicMutilator is right. the people in the fucking panel are M I X E D they are not black. you wouldnt call them white so why call them black
@GeorgiePorgieOrgie - F.Y.I. To be "BLACK" in America means to be of mixed race ancestry. NO BLACK PERSON ( who's ancestry can be traced back to slaves) IS FULL BLOODED AFRICAN anymore. We Blacks are all of mixed race ancestry, but to various degrees. A DNA Genealogy Test proves this every time.
You wouldn't call them white because they have a known black parent. As a result, we call them black.
@americanpatriot00 If the average black took a DNA testthey would most likely come out as 94% black and 7%white. you really count 7% as being mixed? really? blacks use that shit so that they can assimulate to white culture. TRUE FACT
@americanpatriot00 they dont claim it so why say their mixed? its the same for whites, most of them have that mix as well but you dont hear them ranting and raving saying o im 6% black. get over it
@americanpatriot00 I TOTALLY AGREE WITH THIS ALSO. MESSEGE ME BACK CAUSE SOME DONT UNDERSTAND THE RACE CATERGORY CHART IS WRONG FOR MOST BECAUSE WE ARE NOT EVEN REAL PURE AFRICANS.
@MagicMutilator6000 3 of them admitted they are half white. 2 have a white parent and a black parent while the other one has 2 parents that are half black, which also makes them half black. In reality, they're probably more white than black since their black sides probably have white admixture as well. The average African American is 20% white. So 3 of those people could be 60-70% white, even though they're claiming to be black...
@grahamcracker121 Yea, I guess they're just going thru an identity crisis. If they went to Africa claiming to be 'black' people would just laugh at them.
The list of White Privelege is so true. As a Black person I get so sick and tired of being lumped in or asked questions about Blacks that have nothing to do with me but yet I am expected to act a certain way, speak a certain way, and be able to answer those questions because people need a response. I can relate
omg that lady in purple on the panel acts just like my grandmother, and looks like her too. every time she talks it's like i'm watching her up there ..weird.
cant wait til all this craziness ends when ALL the races blend and be done with it. we are spirit in bodies. what is going to happen after you die? are their race problem when you are just in spirit form? no of course not.
@222bijoux As as much as I hate racism, that would take all of the uniqueness (sp) out of everything! Dark skin, pale skin, olive skin, yellow skin, caramel skin, orange skin, all of it is BEAUTIFUL! That's part of the reason that this earth is so wonderful! Getting to see the different ethnicities is just as amazing to me as getting to see all of the animals in a zoo. Ignorant people shouldn't make us think like that. I do agree about us being spirits, but can't our hosts be unique?
That sounds so ignorant, why would you want to look like everyone else? Blending other races isn't gonna make the problem go away and if we did, we'll just find another reason to hate and separate each other.
The reality is that the full blooded Africans who were brought to the Western World as slaves are extinct. No Black Person, a.k.a. African American is full blooded African anymore. We are all hybrids. We have been watered down through race mixing. Initially, the race mixing was caused by forced rape of the African Woman by the white slave master, but later, by choice.
@punkduderock - I've seen a lot of Irish people who didn't look Irish, but they still call themselves Irish. Former Boxing Champion Oscar De La Hoya's wife doesn't look Puerto Rican, but she still calls herself Puerto Rican. I personally know a woman who is from Syria who looks like she could be Russian.
MY POINT IS; Lighten up! Just because one doesn't bare the common phenotype of the race (s) they belong to doesn't mean it's ridiculous for them to claim that race.
@punkduderock - THE BOTTOM LINE: Nowadays, at the end of the day, what counts in life is what you do, not what you are. Why let what people call themselves rent space in your head?
@americanpatriot00 Puerto Rican is not a race that why we all look different By the way i am puertorrican i know how my people look and how diverse they are. All my family looks German. Its really annoying to see people like that calling theme self black because they are clearly not. In my country you are what you look like. If you look black then you are black. Halle berry would never be consider black in Puerto Rico or in any place in Latin america.
@punkduderock I think the reason this people are consider black in the united states is because they are racist and think that if a person haves black blood in them that makes them black. That ignorance from the one drop rule wish by the way halle barry try to use to say that her daughter was black is just pure racism.
@punkduderock - YOU SAID, " I think the reason this people are consider black in the united states is because they are racist"
I SAY,
If that's what you really think, then you haven't got a clue what racism is, and therefore, you wouldn't be able to recognize if you were being discriminated against.
@punkduderock - YOU ARE CORRECT, Puerto Ricans have the combined mixed blood of African Slaves,European Spaniards and Native Americans. From this they developed their own unique culture and have adopted the Spanish Language.
FOR THE RECORD, Mexicans are the result of the combined mix blood of majority North Native American and European Spaniard blood. From this, they to developed their own unique culture, and like Puerto Ricans, Mexicans have adopted the Spanish Language.
@punkduderock - LMAO! It's more to it than that. The reason Puerto Ricans look different is because of your AFRICAN SLAVE BLOOD, SPANIARD BLOOD and NORTH NATIVE AMERICAN BLOOD!
I love how Puerto Ricans like you do not like to go into details on what makes you Puerto Rican. Instead, you just like to say "we are not a race" and we are from Puerto Rico, or PR.
@americanpatriot00 ok how in hell do i don"t like to go into detail. WE ARE NOT A RACE GET IT. There is white people black people native looking people arabs and many Asians. Most of the people are mix this is a fact no one is denying this. There is no puertorrican race because puertorrican is a nationality not a race do you understand the difference.
I hear mixed women are sought over other women in the black community, but this is not my experience. I think it might have been that way back in the day, but not anymore. black men nowadays usually only date dark black woman, or blond white women (for some reason).
I'm sorry, but it seems as all every person on the stage has a huge chip on their shoulders. They say being multiracial doesn't affect them, but it is obvious it does.
I have problems with being multiracial, not because I myself care, but because other people reject me because of what I look like.
For example, most black men would never date me. The majority of them would rather date really black looking women, or really white looking women, but not mixed girls like me.
regarding the national heritage and civilization point, I must wholeheartedly agree. It is absolutely disgusting how much history is distorted for racial and other reasons. Pre college history classes are basically flat out lying to you to the point that you'd almost be better off without them. hollywood and tv's obsession with ALL kinds of stereotypes seems designed to brainwash us into loosing touch with reality. This crap destroys all cultures, including white.
@waldoman7 - Don't forget to include geography. I read that the United States could fit in Africa 4 times with plenty of land still left over, but every time you see a world map, the United States doesn't even look like it could fit in Africa 1 time.
It's almost as if all countries were made in proportion to their REAL SIZE on a map, the US and Europe would not look so important. Humans have a tendency to equate size to importance.
square maps are distorted because you can't turn a sperical planet into a flat square without distortion. globes should be accurate I believe. on globes Africa is clearly far larger but i wouldn't say 4 times larger at all.
Being white does not mean one is never subject to prejudice based on appearance. I'm white, but I have a thyroid condition that renders me overweight regardless of diet/exercise. Subsequently, I am afraid of prejudice every time I go outside. I've had complete strangers follow me down the street hurling insults, telling me I'm disgusting and should be killed. I face unfounded assumptions about my personality & abilities from employers, bankers, etc. White does not equal easy life.
Google these names to learn about a few very influential people who were part black. Alessandro de Medici, Chevalier de St. Georges, Aleksander Sergeevich Pushkin, General Alexandre Dumas, Alexandre Dumas pere, Alexandre Dumas fils, Bernardino Rivadavia, and Vincente Guerrero.
Race stuff is stupid. There's no "pure race". People have moved around Earth for 1000s of years. For example someone saying they're "all white", or all anything else, isn't. Look at the people not "white" from Africa and Asia who have gone into Europe. Prehistoric migrations, Rome and Greece forcefully taking people there or people going there voluntarily, Genghis Khan, Moorish invasion (lasted 500 years!), 1400s-1800s slave trade, etc. So yes, Europeans have non-white ancestors. Its a fact.
My mother's father's mother and both of her parents were black cherokees (not officially part of a tribe), and there's a line of native ancestry going into the 1700s. On that same side I have a white greatX3 grandfather. No records on my father's side but his mother/grandmother are clearly black-indians (native eyes/hair and black+native features). And there are light-skinned people (means white ancestry) on both sides of my family, yet I'm still called "black"? That's how things are in America.
Because of the One Drop Rule (when it was officially in effect in the slave days, and in the modern days when the habit of using it was still thought to be necessary) African Americans are a very diverse group of people, which is why you have "black" people with DNA racial percentages of african, european, and native american, and skin tones and other features all over the map in varying degrees. Some "black" people might even be more white than black because of this but they don't even know it.
The One Drop Rule (from slavery days) dictated that anyone part black was to be called black, even if they were part white or Native (unless they were an official tribal member). Even after this racist rule became TECHNICALLY obsolete, the idea is still around because old habits in America are hard to break. This is why biracial people are usually still called black.
Because I'm white I: "Do not have to educate my children to be aware of systemic racism for their own daily physical protection" That's such a true statement, true for even today & not just physical harm. I know a LOT of white people would beg to differ, but its true.
lol, what jolene said and the way she said it reminds me of myself.
i swear, the reason why i'm watching all the parts is because of kathleen( finally got her name right, lol), she's so smart and what she's saying is common sense, or SHOULD be common sense.
i leave in Switzerland,my father is white Italian and my mother is black but very mixed up,and i came out black. I grew up between white but have some black friends,i have more problems with blacks then white and white people take me the way i am... but form all that i now there's a bigger pictures form my family education, with friends etc... in my mind i know i think like a white it's happens that sometimes it think like black and it does not border me.I am the way am,am take me or leave....
That woman who answered the first question sounds like an idiot. Have you ever heard of a white quota? Give me a fucking break. There should be NO quotas. Everything should be purely merit-based.
@FM897 - Either you completely missed the point Jolene Ivey was making, or for whatever the reason, you're not open to hearing her point which is still part of the problem nowadays. Some of us don't want to believe that the playing field isn't leveled even when it's boldfaced and highlighted.
@americanpatriot00 No, I did get her point. I love how everyone thinks I'm a racism denier because of my comment. I'm actually saying the OPPOSITE. I'm very much aware that racism persists and that the playing field is not equal. I objected to her use of words.
@americanpatriot00 (Part 2) A "quota" is a numerical requirement for hiring, promoting, admitting, and/or graduating members of a particular racial group, in an attempt to diminish racial discrimination and to address under-representation and evident racism against that racial group.
@americanpatriot00 (Part 3) Whites do not face racial discrimination (at least nothing comparable to what blacks deal with), and therefore, do not have, nor need, a quota. Her use of the term "White quota" is a strawman to bolster her argument that the black quota is so minuscule in comparison. No admissions committee is sitting in a board room saying, "We need to hire THIS many white people." That's absurd.
@americanpatriot00 Most of them don't want to believe it and are in denial of it. Affirmirative action and things like it are there for a reason. It doesn't put whites at a disadvantage, it's helping the minorities. Without it would minorities even present as nearly as much of a representation as they do? I think not! I get sick of hearing people constantly complain about what others get and not even realizing their own privileges!
@MrSpeechie2010 - People like that are simply blind to the realities of life. I tell people that Affirmative Action can't study for you. Affirmative Action can't pass an exam for you. All it does is help get you into an institution. If you don't have what it takes to stay there, you won't last. SO WHAT'S WITH THE COMPLAINTS AGAINST IT?
You'd think that people would realize that when you deprive some Americans, you shortchange America as a whole, and we become less competitive globally.
@FM897 There isn't a White quota but there is a minority quota that doesn't just include Blacks and Hispanics but also White immigrants. So many people you work side by side with who appear as plain ol White Americans have benefited from minority quotas for their employment.
@FM897 you've got to be completely dense to NOT believe there is a white quota. The white quota is anything that is NOT in the black quota. It is an unspoken white QUOTA. White people somehow believe they are being disadvantaged by black quotas. They are meant to counter the inherent racism in ALL OF US (including people of color, who btw are also racist against their own race when it comes to college). It's people like you who live in LaLa land that believe that racism does not exist.
@rassledassle82 You can read my response to americanpatriot00 if you so chose. I appreciate your point and understand the purpose that is served by quotas. "Yeah, and racism shouldn't exist....it's not going to happen in this racist world." Well, with an attitude like that, you're right!
@FM897 But it's the truth...I am not a racist, but, unfortunately, one person cannot change the world (contrary to popular beliefs). All I can do is be the best person I can be...hopefully, it will rub off on some, but 100 years from now, there will be groups of people who hate for skin color. It's just realistic. This is why boundaries need to be set; in an idealistic world, everyone would be promoted based on their merits. THIS is the real world.
aside from the issue being discusses i just love the way this discussion is being conducted, how everybody on the stage and in the audience seems treats each other with respect and patience, dont see this happening today
@americanpatriot00 Technology is neither good nor bad. But I tend to focus on the bad parts with good reason. Any communications course will teach you first and foremost that technology does not necessarily make everything easier, and it's true. And I wasn't saying we should live an Amish lifestyle, just commenting on the effects of technology.
been watching this since the first instalment and man, these audience members simply do not get it! irony of this is biracial blacks still have the same problems today, 20 years later, particularly in their own race ...
We're pis*ed off because whites don't want to accept the truth and treat everyone the same. Even today, I am racially profiled each time I step out of my home.
@TheIvoryPearl1 dude.. screw them. its not about them. you can't control the actions and thoughts of everyone else.. thats impossible. impossible task to try to accomplish don't you think? but what can you do then? if you want others to accept you, accept them. accept that they are silly, puny-minded people who lack a love for all races. really, in my view, they are sad people who have not known this love i feel.. this love that transcends races, gender. it is a human love for all mankind.
@TheIvoryPearl1 and if you can see it like this.. if you can see this than you will see that whenever they say bad things to you or whenever they act unkindly towards you it is ONLY bcoz they do not know how to love beyond their race. they do not know (YET) how to love YOU.. BuuuuT you do. and you can show them. by loving them no matter what. and when you love someone even when they are being nasty, do u think they will continue to be so? no way. love is infectious and i hope mine reached you :)
At 2:20, I'd like to answer that. I love my father, and I wish every white person living TODAYwas as impartial as he, and mindfully aware of how the racism of yesterday affects the attutudes of today, in particular among blacks.
@americanpatriot00 I am going to answer this respectfully.I speak as a minority myself who has experienced racism from white people, Chinese people, Black people, you name it. The panalists have a right to be upset; However, it seems like they are nurturing their anger. It's time we stop saying "White/Black people are racist",and instead, when a person makes a racist comment, recognize that that person is simply a @$#%and it's not because of the color of his/her skin. Peace :)
These are MIXED RACE people. And for those who will reply, in this country they have a one drop rule....governments don't decide dna/ancestry....people do. MIXED RACE!
@Classisforever21 Of course they are angry and quite rightly so. Why should THEY sow the seeds of tolerance when they are being subjected to racist ideology by white people who do not realise they are black. If they themselves have never smelt the beautiful rose of tolerance, why should they go around planting seeds.
You know if white people did what you suggested countless problems in society would be solved- overnight.
Really? That's what you get from me speaking the truth on youtube? O.K. Dr. Patriot. Thank you for your insight. This is really simple stuff. I'm speaking the truth.
@multiracialnotblack - SO WHAT! If it's ok with us to be considewred black how is that a problem of yours? Sounds to me like you need a life if this bothers you.
@americanpatriot00 It's ok with me for you to be considered black too, but it is not ok with me, as a multiracial person for me to be considered black, or for people to say that these people are black and passing for white when the TRUTH is they are mixed-race people. I am interested in the truth, not a lie other people fed you and you believe.
@americanpatriot00 By the way I am 74% white, 23% Sub-Saharan African and 3% Native American. The reason I have a problem with it is because people like you don't want people like me to be honest about who we are.
@multiracialnotblack - LOL! I wouldn't care if you were 74% this, 23% of that and 3% over there . It shouldn't matter what you believe in your head about what "people like me" think. Your honesty doesn't rent any space in my head. My life will be joyful regardless.
@americanpatriot00 It dosen't matter what you think or anyone else, like I said before I am interested in the truth, and I will speak it. Just like I'm doing right now. I just don't understand why nappy-haired black-skinned people want to put me in their category, when they know I don't belong there. Obviously they feel that being black is not good enough so they want to include people in their race who don't belong in it, but calling us black dosen't make them look any more white.
@americanpatriot00 pray all you want. god is another lie you believe. I don't hate any person, but I hate the fact that people want me to lie everyday about a fundamental thing, who I am.
If a person is multiracial or bi-racial, the person is not black. So this whole thing about passing for white is ridiculous. Mixed people who call themselves black are really passing for black.
" Mixed people who call themselves black are really passing for black"
.
I SAY WRONG AGAIN !
Halle Berry calls herself black, but even Stevie Wonder can see that she's mixed. lol Seriously though, anybody looking at her would be able to decipher that she's mixed and not just black. My sister and I both refer to ourselves as black, but we never get a pass for being just black, because everybody we encounter can clearly see that we're mixed
@americanpatriot00 you and your sister are "passing" for black just as much as anyone would be "passing" for white. Why is it ok for a mixed person to say that they're black but not o.k. to say they are white? Either way it is a lie. However, if a person is almost exclusively black or almost exclusively white and that person wants to be considered black or white respectively, I don't see a problem with that. If you're 90% white then you're white, if you're 90% black then you're black.
@americanpatriot00 Yes I know my enemies. They're the teachers who taught me to fight me. Compromise, conformity, assimilation, submission, ignorance, hypocrisy, brutality, the elite. ALL OF WHICH ARE AMERICAN DREAMS. ALL OF WHICH ARE AMERICAN DREAMS.
There's animals in the country as well, and if you stray into the wrong area, (West Pennsylvania) you'll get called a nigger by people who could give a rat's ass about the 74% white you say is in you. Ouch! That must hurt your feelings.
@americanpatriot00 I couldn't give a shit less about white people who want to call me a nigger, just like I couldn't give a shit less about black people who want to call me black. White people don't mean any more or less to me than black people or any other people. I'm not impressed by white people and I'm not trying to impress them.
@americanpatriot00 Although white people aren't in the news everyday for murder. I think you feel like you have to fit in somewhere, and because black people want to make you their bitch and white people don't you choose black.
@multiracialnotblack - Sounds like your life is full of stress. I bet you have hypertension. Were you raised that way, or did you become highstressed with hate on your own?
@multiracialnotblack - How is it ridiculous for a bi-racial person to pass for white? Do you even know what it means to "pass for white". Let me help you. It means that regardless of the genetic makeup, sometimes a bi-racial person with a black parent and a white parent can resemble the white parent so much so that average people easily mistake them for being just white, not mixed. THIS IS WHAT IS MEANT BY "PASSING FOR WHITE". Got it? Biracial children do not always look mixed.
@privately2001 - Judging from how you're talking (we are NOT the same complexion so please do not put me in a category as you.), I am beginning to get a good understanding as to why YOU have had so many problems with black people. The more you talk, the more I can clearly see why blacks would not like you.
Well the debate was fun. Again I have NO problem with you saying you are Black, but respect those that wish to be defined as multiracial. Society has many negative stereotypes about Blacks and how they "view" us BUT it doesn't mean its true. Just like society viewing multiracials as Black, doesn't mean we are not part of another heritage. Society also says Blacks are ghetto, and niggas etc etc. Is it all true? No. Neither is multiracials being just Black. Have a good nite!
@privately2001 - The sooner you realize that nowadays, ultimately, its all about what you do and how you treat your fellow man and woman that counts in life, and not about what you look like, the better off you'll be.
@americanpatriot00 Unfortunately just like you said society sees us as Black, society focuses on appearances as well. The reason why Halle Berry is seen as Black is because her caramel complexion. Nicole Richie, Rashida Jones and the like are not as seen as Black is because of their appearance. I am not the one focusing on appearance. The women in the vid who are "passing" are able to do so because of their appearance.
Also please do not base everyones experiences on your own. If you hear of a multiracial person experiencing racism amongst Blacks don't try and discredit it. I have known full Blacks that did not fit in with the Black community for various reasons. You have not walked in everyone's shoes. I joined a Black sorority and the bullying and racism I experienced was so terrible, I left and never returned. Again you don't know what I have been through. Maybe you're right. Maybe I do need a shrink!
@privately2001 - " I joined a Black sorority and the bullying and racism I experienced was so terrible "
-
MAYBE YOUR PROBLEM IS; you need to be your own person, NOT A FOLLOWER! Nobody (especially blacks)respect followers. Be your own person. You might get more respect.
@americanpatriot00 Maybe you should take your own advice. You seem to harbor hate towards Whites and that heritage is part of you as well. I am my own person now. The sorority experience made me realize that which is the ONLY good experience that came from that nightmare. I am not looking or seeking respect from Blacks, Whites, Latinos etc. My desire is to respect myself. My only problem is people like you that denounce the multiracial movement as if we are trying to deny being Black. Not true.
@privately2001 LOL,LOL! Don't confuse my knowledge of US history with being racist. History is history. You can't change it! Whites enslaved blacks. THAT'S A HISTORIC FACT, NOT RACISM. LOL! AGAIN, I have lots of white friends on Youtube and in Real life. YOU THINK THAT'S AN ACCIDENT?
@americanpatriot00 Again you are denying that Black racism exists as well. Just because you claim to not have experienced it does not mean it doesn't exist. It is history as well. It may not be mainstream history but it is. Blacks need to stop this united phony front when there is so much division going on.
@americanpatriot00 Also did you know that Blacks owned slaves as well? It is a little known FACT! Look it up sometime. Remember that episode of A Different World when Whitley found out her Black side owned slaves? It was based on facts.
@americanpatriot00 Ha ha LMAO! So you are trying to deny the fact that Blacks enslaved Blacks as well???? But you continuously refer to slavery as if its a part of your life currently. You are the one that mentioned slavery. I simply informed you the truth. Blacks enslaved their own people, and they are still doing by making constant notions to the ODR and protesting the multiracial movement. Its relevant to your life because just like Whites would have had you a slave. Blacks would have too.
@americanpatriot00 I am about the human movement as well. Unfortunately we have not gotten to a point in society where race is not mentioned at all. However multiracials regardless of our mix have the right to choose who we want to define ourselves. It is not societies decision. It is ours. Not supporting the multiracial movement is your misfortunte. We are not denying our Black heritage, however we embrace all.
@privately2001 - Please tell me how supporting, or toiling in differences among us (multiracial movement) is relevant to my life. How will it improve my life?
@americanpatriot00 Civil Rights is a movement about supporting ALL people not just one group. Therefore you would be supporting freedom of choice. I support gay rights, but I am not gay. I believe that people should live their lives as they see fit. Just like with multiracials. We have supporters of ALL colors, who just want to encourage us to be able to live our lives without stigma. Whites created the ODR. But Blacks are holding to it. It is NOT right to force us to choose. We have RIGHTS!
@privately2001 - Don't know about you, but nobody is holding a gun to my head forcing me to choose anything, and this whole brand new politically correct rebuttal (blacks owned blacks as slaves) to whites owning slaves means absolutely nothing, and had no affect on generations of blacks in America. If it did, all blacks would be able to trace their roots back more than 5 generations.
@americanpatriot00 I see you are ignoring my facts, about multracials that are NOT viewed as Black. Have you ever seen Tiger Woods at the NAACP Image awards? Nope. He defines himself as multiracial and people accept him as such. And you're denying the fact that Blacks owned slaves too. Obviously you don't know as much about Black history as you thought you did.
@privately2001 - LOL! Let us say that everything you're saying is true. Tiger Woods does not attend the NAACP Image Awards, some multiracials are not viewed as black....what else?.......OH!, blacks owned slaves to (not too)........BIG DEAL!..... WHAT'S YOUR POINT?
@americanpatriot00 What is YOUR point??? You mentioned about how society views me you and Halle Berry as Black. So I gave you some examples of the contrary. That is my POINT!
@privately2001 - I don't think no one should have to have walked in someone else's shoes to advise them that judging a whole group based on negative experiences wi
I would love to see them go to South Africa and announce that they're black, real blacks would laugh at them. ( Especially 2:37 ) and that guy, are those two even half black?
MagicMutilator6000 1 month ago
@MagicMutilator6000 - I doubt it, because anybody with an ounce of common sense know that blacks in America are not of pure African Blood anymore. We America Blacks are all mixed, but to various degrees. Most of the blacks in South Africa and other Black African Countries are pure blood African.
SHOCKING I KNOW!

@americanpatriot00 Yea but those two are like a quarter black, I mean i still wouldn't consider them white but I can definitely say that they're Not black. And claiming to be black for them is just plain silly if you compare them to pure blooded blacks.
MagicMutilator6000 1 month ago
@americanpatriot00 No it's not that shocking at all, it's obvious. Only a small percentage of blacks look like actual Africans. More look light skin. What is your opinion on this topic? does it make you angry?
MagicMutilator6000 3 weeks ago
@MagicMutilator6000 - CONTRARY TO POPULAR BELIEF...When you speak of actual Africans, (excluding European settlers originally from Europe) blacks are not exclusive to the continent. Africans from Egypt typically look different from Africans in Kenya. Africans from Morocco typically look different from the Africans in Somalia.
The diversity in looks that can be seen in American Blacks today is largely due to race mixing. None of this makes me angry because I am not ignorant to it.
americanpatriot00 2 weeks ago
@americanpatriot00 When I say 'black' I'm talking about the pure negroid race. As we all know, most blacks in Egypt are not racially pure. Not to mention horn Africans (Somalis, ect.) are only part negroid (black) and part semetic/Arabic. So in the beginning, all Africans looked like Kenyans, Nigerians, Congolese... with typical Bantu facial features, black skin and black springy hair.
MagicMutilator6000 2 weeks ago
@MagicMutilator6000 Kenyan's look nothing like Nigerians. I am half Nigerian. Africa is the most racially diverse continent on earth. There is no such thing as a pure "negroid" race.
ojideagu 1 day ago
@ojideagu I can't differentiate between Kenyans and Nigerians, there is such thing as a pure negroid race you can clearly see it in the majority of Africans. Are you saying all Africans are mixtures of races?
MagicMutilator6000 14 hours ago
@MagicMutilator6000 Have you even seen a Kenyan or a Nigerian? Kenyan's are tall and slim and the best long distance runners. Nigerians are stocky and well built and you seem them in sprinting events. You never seen Nigerians in long distance running.
Of course there are many different black races in Africa, Africa is not a country.
You are stuck looking at skin colour and hair.
There is no such thing as a negroid race.
ojideagu 13 hours ago
@MagicMutilator6000 Just as there is no pure European race. Celtic people, Scandinavian, German, Spanish, Greek, Eastern European Slavs, etc
Now multiply that by 10 with Africa.
ojideagu 13 hours ago
@ojideagu Let's put aside Spanish (because of their problems with the moorish race). Germanic, Celtic, and Slavonic are all pure European races, they are just subcategories of the white race. If you haven't noticed many Slavonic people have blue eye and blonde hair, just like some Celtic people do, not to mention many Germanic nations have people with blue eyes and blonde hair. Just like all of those tribes have people with red hair.
MagicMutilator6000 6 hours ago
@MagicMutilator6000 I have seen many Italian and greek people and most look nothing like scandinavian or german people. What is your definition of "white"
Iranians can have blue eyes and blonde hair or green eyes, I have seen them myself.
That's the problem with race categories, they are flawed.
ojideagu 5 hours ago
@ojideagu The only reason why a small percentage of Iranians have blue eyes/blonde hair because ancient Germanic tribes migrated southwards to Iran about some 7000 years ago. Northern Italians are genetically different than Sicilians, Sardinians, and Tuscany's because many of them mixed with Arabs just like many Greeks mixed with Turkic peoples. 'White' is basically, Slavonic, Germanic, Celtic, Baltic and original Hellenic (not the dark ones).
MagicMutilator6000 4 hours ago
@ojideagu (Part II) Some European countries had foreign genes injected into them, mostly thru migrations and conquest, that's the only reason why many southern Europeans look a bit different, Otherwise they'd look just like Germans and French. Of course as you probably noticed, Austrians don't look that different than Swedes and French don't look that different than English.

@americanpatriot00 THEY ARE NOT AFRICAN AMERICAN O MY GOD! MagicMutilator is right. the people in the fucking panel are M I X E D they are not black. you wouldnt call them white so why call them black
GeorgiePorgieOrgie 2 weeks ago
@GeorgiePorgieOrgie - F.Y.I. To be "BLACK" in America means to be of mixed race ancestry. NO BLACK PERSON ( who's ancestry can be traced back to slaves) IS FULL BLOODED AFRICAN anymore. We Blacks are all of mixed race ancestry, but to various degrees. A DNA Genealogy Test proves this every time.
You wouldn't call them white because they have a known black parent. As a result, we call them black.
americanpatriot00 2 weeks ago
@americanpatriot00 If the average black took a DNA testthey would most likely come out as 94% black and 7%white. you really count 7% as being mixed? really? blacks use that shit so that they can assimulate to white culture. TRUE FACT
GeorgiePorgieOrgie 2 weeks ago

@MagicMutilator6000 3 of them admitted they are half white. 2 have a white parent and a black parent while the other one has 2 parents that are half black, which also makes them half black. In reality, they're probably more white than black since their black sides probably have white admixture as well. The average African American is 20% white. So 3 of those people could be 60-70% white, even though they're claiming to be black...

@punkduderock - F.Y.I.
The reality is that the full blooded Africans who were brought to the Western World as slaves are extinct. No Black Person, a.k.a. African American is full blooded African anymore. We are all hybrids. We have been watered down through race mixing. Initially, the race mixing was caused by forced rape of the African Woman by the white slave master, but later, by choice.
americanpatriot00 1 month ago
@americanpatriot00 i know all of that but still non of those people look black is ridiculous why are they calling them self black.

Just because one doesn't bare the common phenotype of the race (s) they belong to doesn't mean it's ridiculous for them to claim that race.
americanpatriot00 1 month ago
@punkduderock - THE BOTTOM LINE: Nowadays, at the end of the day, what counts in life is what you do, not what you are. Why let what people call themselves rent space in your head?

@americanpatriot00 Puerto Rican is not a race that why we all look different By the way i am puertorrican i know how my people look and how diverse they are. All my family looks German. Its really annoying to see people like that calling theme self black because they are clearly not. In my country you are what you look like. If you look black then you are black. Halle berry would never be consider black in Puerto Rico or in any place in Latin america.
punkduderock 1 month ago
@punkduderock I think the reason this people are consider black in the united states is because they are racist and think that if a person haves black blood in them that makes them black. That ignorance from the one drop rule wish by the way halle barry try to use to say that her daughter was black is just pure racism.

@punkduderock - YOU SAID, " I think the reason this people are consider black in the united states is because they are racist"

If that's what you really think, then you haven't got a clue what racism is, and therefore, you wouldn't be able to recognize if you were being discriminated against.
americanpatriot00 1 month ago
@punkduderock - YOU ARE CORRECT, Puerto Ricans have the combined mixed blood of African Slaves,European Spaniards and Native Americans. From this they developed their own unique culture and have adopted the Spanish Language.
FOR THE RECORD, Mexicans are the result of the combined mix blood of majority North Native American and European Spaniard blood. From this, they to developed their own unique culture, and like Puerto Ricans, Mexicans have adopted the Spanish Language.
americanpatriot00 1 month ago

Subsequently, I am afraid of prejudice every time I go outside. I've had complete strangers follow me down the street hurling insults, telling me I'm disgusting and should be killed. Its a fact.
docdoom187 5 months ago
My mother's father's mother and both of her parents were black cherokees (not officially part of a tribe), and there's a line of native ancestry going into the 1700s. On that same side I have a white greatX3 grandfather. No records on my father's side but his mother/grandmother are clearly black-indians (native eyes/hair and black+native features). And there are light-skinned people (means white ancestry) on both sides of my family, yet I'm still called "black"? That's how things are in America.
docdoom187 5 months ago
Because of the One Drop Rule (when it was officially in effect in the slave days, and in the modern days when the habit of using it was still thought to be necessary) African Americans are a very diverse group of people, which is why you have "black" people with DNA racial percentages of african, european, and native american, and skin tones and other features all over the map in varying degrees. Some "black" people might even be more white than black because of this but they don't even know it.
docdoom187 5 months ago
The One Drop Rule (from slavery days) dictated that anyone part black was to be called black, even if they were part white or Native (unless they were an official tribal member). Even after this racist rule became TECHNICALLY obsolete, the idea is still around because old habits in America are hard to break. This is why biracial people are usually still called black.
docdoom187 5 months ago
Because I'm white I: "Do not have to educate my children to be aware of systemic racism for their own daily physical protection" That's such a true statement, true for even today & not just physical harm. I know a LOT of white people would beg to differ, but its true.

@FM897 - Either you completely missed the point Jolene Ivey was making, or for whatever the reason, you're not open to hearing her point which is still part of the problem nowadays. Some of us don't want to believe that the playing field isn't leveled even when it's boldfaced and highlighted.

CRYST2SHELL 7 months ago
@americanpatriot00 No, I did get her point. I love how everyone thinks I'm a racism denier because of my comment. I'm actually saying the OPPOSITE. I'm very much aware that racism persists and that the playing field is not equal. I objected to her use of words.
FM897 4 months ago
@americanpatriot00 (Part 2) A "quota" is a numerical requirement for hiring, promoting, admitting, and/or graduating members of a particular racial group, in an attempt to diminish racial discrimination and to address under-representation and evident racism against that racial group.
FM897 4 months ago
@americanpatriot00 (Part 3) Whites do not face racial discrimination (at least nothing comparable to what blacks deal with), and therefore, do not have, nor need, a quota. Her use of the term "White quota" is a strawman to bolster her argument that the black quota is so minuscule in comparison. No admissions committee is sitting in a board room saying, "We need to hire THIS many white people." That's absurd.
FM897 4 months ago
@americanpatriot00 Most of them don't want to believe it and are in denial of it. Affirmirative action and things like it are there for a reason. It doesn't put whites at a disadvantage, it's helping the minorities. Without it would minorities even present as nearly as much of a representation as they do? I think not! I get sick of hearing people constantly complain about what others get and not even realizing their own privileges!
MrSpeechie2010 4 months ago
@MrSpeechie2010 - People like that are simply blind to the realities of life. I tell people that Affirmative Action can't study for you. Affirmative Action can't pass an exam for you. All it does is help get you into an institution. If you don't have what it takes to stay there, you won't last. SO WHAT'S WITH THE COMPLAINTS AGAINST IT?
You'd think that people would realize that when you deprive some Americans, you shortchange America as a whole, and we become less competitive globally.
americanpatriot00 3 months ago
@FM897 There isn't a White quota but there is a minority quota that doesn't just include Blacks and Hispanics but also White immigrants. So many people you work side by side with who appear as plain ol White Americans have benefited from minority quotas for their employment.
DeadHeart150 6 months ago
@FM897 you've got to be completely dense to NOT believe there is a white quota. The white quota is anything that is NOT in the black quota. It is an unspoken white QUOTA. White people somehow believe they are being disadvantaged by black quotas. They are meant to counter the inherent racism in ALL OF US (including people of color, who btw are also racist against their own race when it comes to college). It's people like you who live in LaLa land that believe that racism does not exist.
rabidsara 4 months ago

FM897 4 months ago
@FM897 But it's the truth...I am not a racist, but, unfortunately, one person cannot change the world (contrary to popular beliefs). All I can do is be the best person I can be...hopefully, it will rub off on some, but 100 years from now, there will be groups of people who hate for skin color. It's just realistic. This is why boundaries need to be set; in an idealistic world, everyone would be promoted based on their merits. THIS is the real world.

@americanpatriot00 What is ridiculous is that the people are considered BLACK. How do you not understand that?
multiracialnotblack 1 year ago
@multiracialnotblack - SO WHAT! If it's ok with us to be considewred black how is that a problem of yours? Sounds to me like you need a life if this bothers you.
americanpatriot00 1 year ago
@americanpatriot00 It's ok with me for you to be considered black too, but it is not ok with me, as a multiracial person for me to be considered black, or for people to say that these people are black and passing for white when the TRUTH is they are mixed-race people. I am interested in the truth, not a lie other people fed you and you believe.
multiracialnotblack 1 year ago
@americanpatriot00 By the way I am 74% white, 23% Sub-Saharan African and 3% Native American. The reason I have a problem with it is because people like you don't want people like me to be honest about who we are.
multiracialnotblack 1 year ago
@multiracialnotblack - LOL! I wouldn't care if you were 74% this, 23% of that and 3% over there . It shouldn't matter what you believe in your head about what "people like me" think. Your honesty doesn't rent any space in my head. My life will be joyful regardless.
americanpatriot00 1 year ago
@americanpatriot00 It dosen't matter what you think or anyone else, like I said before I am interested in the truth, and I will speak it. Just like I'm doing right now. I just don't understand why nappy-haired black-skinned people want to put me in their category, when they know I don't belong there. Obviously they feel that being black is not good enough so they want to include people in their race who don't belong in it, but calling us black dosen't make them look any more white.
multiracialnotblack 1 year ago
@multiracialnotblack - Wow! You obviously harbor a lot of hate in your heart. I'll pray for you.
americanpatriot00 1 year ago
@americanpatriot00 pray all you want. god is another lie you believe. I don't hate any person, but I hate the fact that people want me to lie everyday about a fundamental thing, who I am.
multiracialnotblack 1 year ago
If a person is multiracial or bi-racial, the person is not black. So this whole thing about passing for white is ridiculous. Mixed people who call themselves black are really passing for black.
multiracialnotblack 1 year ago
@multiracialnotblack - Also, YOU SAID,
" Mixed people who call themselves black are really passing for black"
.
I SAY WRONG AGAIN !
Halle Berry calls herself black, but even Stevie Wonder can see that she's mixed. lol Seriously though, anybody looking at her would be able to decipher that she's mixed and not just black. My sister and I both refer to ourselves as black, but we never get a pass for being just black, because everybody we encounter can clearly see that we're mixed
americanpatriot00 1 year ago

@multiracialnotblack - Why don't you go live in the wild among the animals. Sounds like you'll be better off there.
americanpatriot00 1 year ago
@americanpatriot00 There are enough animals in the inner city. Why live in the wild?
multiracialnotblack 1 year ago
@multiracialnotblack - NEWS FLASH!
There's animals in the country as well, and if you stray into the wrong area, (West Pennsylvania) you'll get called a nigger by people who could give a rat's ass about the 74% white you say is in you. Ouch! That must hurt your feelings.
americanpatriot00 1 year ago
@americanpatriot00 I couldn't give a shit less about white people who want to call me a nigger, just like I couldn't give a shit less about black people who want to call me black. White people don't mean any more or less to me than black people or any other people. I'm not impressed by white people and I'm not trying to impress them.
multiracialnotblack 1 year ago 2
@americanpatriot00 Although white people aren't in the news everyday for murder. I think you feel like you have to fit in somewhere, and because black people want to make you their bitch and white people don't you choose black.

@multiracialnotblack - Maybe you don't read the papers, or watch the news. BELIEVE ME whites are in the news everyday.

@multiracialnotblack - Naaaaa! You're done.
americanpatriot00 1 year ago
@multiracialnotblack - How is it ridiculous for a bi-racial person to pass for white? Do you even know what it means to "pass for white". Let me help you. It means that regardless of the genetic makeup, sometimes a bi-racial person with a black parent and a white parent can resemble the white parent so much so that average people easily mistake them for being just white, not mixed. THIS IS WHAT IS MEANT BY "PASSING FOR WHITE". Got it? Biracial children do not always look mixed.
americanpatriot00 1 year ago
@privately2001 - Judging from how you're talking (we are NOT the same complexion so please do not put me in a category as you.), I am beginning to get a good understanding as to why YOU have had so many problems with black people. The more you talk, the more I can clearly see why blacks would not like you.
-
INTERESTING!
americanpatriot00 1 year ago
Well the debate was fun. Again I have NO problem with you saying you are Black, but respect those that wish to be defined as multiracial. Society has many negative stereotypes about Blacks and how they "view" us BUT it doesn't mean its true. Just like society viewing multiracials as Black, doesn't mean we are not part of another heritage. Society also says Blacks are ghetto, and niggas etc etc. Is it all true? No. Neither is multiracials being just Black. Have a good nite!
privately2001 1 year ago
@privately2001 - The sooner you realize that nowadays, ultimately, its all about what you do and how you treat your fellow man and woman that counts in life, and not about what you look like, the better off you'll be.
-
LOOKS FADE, stop focusing on appearances.
americanpatriot00 1 year ago
@americanpatriot00 Unfortunately just like you said society sees us as Black, society focuses on appearances as well. The reason why Halle Berry is seen as Black is because her caramel complexion. Nicole Richie, Rashida Jones and the like are not as seen as Black is because of their appearance. I am not the one focusing on appearance. The women in the vid who are "passing" are able to do so because of their appearance.
privately2001 1 year ago
I'll stop pushing the multiracial movement down your throat as you say, if you stop pushing what "society" views me as down my throat.
privately2001 1 year ago
Also please do not base everyones experiences on your own. If you hear of a multiracial person experiencing racism amongst Blacks don't try and discredit it. I have known full Blacks that did not fit in with the Black community for various reasons. You have not walked in everyone's shoes. I joined a Black sorority and the bullying and racism I experienced was so terrible, I left and never returned. Again you don't know what I have been through. Maybe you're right. Maybe I do need a shrink!
privately2001 1 year ago
@privately2001 - " I joined a Black sorority and the bullying and racism I experienced was so terrible "
-
MAYBE YOUR PROBLEM IS; you need to be your own person, NOT A FOLLOWER! Nobody (especially blacks)respect followers. Be your own person. You might get more respect.
-
Works for me!
americanpatriot00 1 year ago
@americanpatriot00 Maybe you should take your own advice. You seem to harbor hate towards Whites and that heritage is part of you as well. I am my own person now. The sorority experience made me realize that which is the ONLY good experience that came from that nightmare. I am not looking or seeking respect from Blacks, Whites, Latinos etc. My desire is to respect myself. My only problem is people like you that denounce the multiracial movement as if we are trying to deny being Black. Not true.
privately2001 1 year ago
@privately2001 LOL,LOL! Don't confuse my knowledge of US history with being racist. History is history. You can't change it! Whites enslaved blacks. THAT'S A HISTORIC FACT, NOT RACISM. LOL! AGAIN, I have lots of white friends on Youtube and in Real life. YOU THINK THAT'S AN ACCIDENT?
americanpatriot00 1 year ago
@americanpatriot00 Again you are denying that Black racism exists as well. Just because you claim to not have experienced it does not mean it doesn't exist. It is history as well. It may not be mainstream history but it is. Blacks need to stop this united phony front when there is so much division going on.
privately2001 1 year ago
@americanpatriot00 Also did you know that Blacks owned slaves as well? It is a little known FACT! Look it up sometime. Remember that episode of A Different World when Whitley found out her Black side owned slaves? It was based on facts.
privately2001 1 year ago
@privately2001 - I'm sorry, but that's not relevant to anything in my life.
americanpatriot00 1 year ago
@americanpatriot00 Ha ha LMAO! So you are trying to deny the fact that Blacks enslaved Blacks as well???? But you continuously refer to slavery as if its a part of your life currently. You are the one that mentioned slavery. I simply informed you the truth. Blacks enslaved their own people, and they are still doing by making constant notions to the ODR and protesting the multiracial movement. Its relevant to your life because just like Whites would have had you a slave. Blacks would have too.
privately2001 1 year ago
@privately2001 - Sorry, but I'm all about the HUMAN MOVEMENT! I'm not about seperatism.
americanpatriot00 1 year ago
@americanpatriot00 I am about the human movement as well. Unfortunately we have not gotten to a point in society where race is not mentioned at all. However multiracials regardless of our mix have the right to choose who we want to define ourselves. It is not societies decision. It is ours. Not supporting the multiracial movement is your misfortunte. We are not denying our Black heritage, however we embrace all.
privately2001 1 year ago
@privately2001 - Please tell me how supporting, or toiling in differences among us (multiracial movement) is relevant to my life. How will it improve my life?
americanpatriot00 1 year ago
@americanpatriot00 Civil Rights is a movement about supporting ALL people not just one group. Therefore you would be supporting freedom of choice. I support gay rights, but I am not gay. I believe that people should live their lives as they see fit. Just like with multiracials. We have supporters of ALL colors, who just want to encourage us to be able to live our lives without stigma. Whites created the ODR. But Blacks are holding to it. It is NOT right to force us to choose. We have RIGHTS!
privately2001 1 year ago
@privately2001 - Don't know about you, but nobody is holding a gun to my head forcing me to choose anything, and this whole brand new politically correct rebuttal (blacks owned blacks as slaves) to whites owning slaves means absolutely nothing, and had no affect on generations of blacks in America. If it did, all blacks would be able to trace their roots back more than 5 generations.
americanpatriot00 1 year ago
@americanpatriot00 I see you are ignoring my facts, about multracials that are NOT viewed as Black. Have you ever seen Tiger Woods at the NAACP Image awards? Nope. He defines himself as multiracial and people accept him as such. And you're denying the fact that Blacks owned slaves too. Obviously you don't know as much about Black history as you thought you did.
privately2001 1 year ago
@privately2001 - LOL! Let us say that everything you're saying is true. Tiger Woods does not attend the NAACP Image Awards, some multiracials are not viewed as black....what else?.......OH!, blacks owned slaves to (not too)........BIG DEAL!..... WHAT'S YOUR POINT?
americanpatriot00 1 year ago
@americanpatriot00 What is YOUR point??? You mentioned about how society views me you and Halle Berry as Black. So I gave you some examples of the contrary. That is my POINT!
privately2001 1 year ago
@privately2001 - I don't think no one should have to have walked in someone else's shoes to advise them that judging a whole group based on negative experiences wi
