Defeating Reptile in Mortal Kombat 1 (PC)

I might defeat reptile this summer when it comes out for xbox live they did said that they was gonna sell Mortal kombat 1,2 and ultimate mortal kombat 3 this late summer

@nyerguds Its not a glitch its how the game was made back then Reptile was a mix of both Sub zero and Scorpion Yellow+Blue=Green so thats why they put him like the that dumbass..

@ZenNeonRazor Well it's definitely an oversight that his name doesn't change, and that the ripped off head isn't remapped to green as it should. Mind you, this bug also happens in Mirror matches; the head ripped off a dark blue Sub-Zero is suddenly light blue.

@ph4ntomlord Well this is the original 3-floppy PC release. I now got a CD version too, with audio identical to the arcade version.

Never had any complaints about the audio though. The samples are all still SB, and the midi music is pretty nice.

I have to say that Reptile, while awesome as a secret character in MK1, is one of the worst developed characters in the game. He became more and more irrelevant each time out.

Hopefully now with the alternate timeline, they do something with him. Maybe turn him into a good guy instead of just being a boring minion?

Reptile is easy to beat on home consoles and PC, but near-impossible on the Arcade version...have you tried this on MAME?

@modewr Nope, but from what I've heard, the PC version is pretty much exactly the same as the arcade one... especially the CD version I got now, with all the pretty sound effects and music :3

o_O When Sub-Zero ripped Reptile's spine out, his masked changed to Scorpion's.

@nintendoboy17 Yeah, the Reptile thing was never very-well coded... you also see the name of the character is Scorpion. This is all probably related to the fact that internally, "the ninja" was just one set of graphics.

@DeimosComaBlack This is my second try... the first time he beat me into a pulp in no time. For some reason, flying kick doesn't seem to work on him most of the time, as if he's just one step out of reach. And he walks so fricking fast it's barely useful to jump away from him. I've seen videos on YT where he avoids Kano's Cannonball just by walking backwards...
