  • The problem here:

    Windows XP had no problems

  • HOLY CRAOP I'M BORED OF THE TOP COMMENT OF THE GAMES

IF YOU WANT TO PLAY JUST BUY AN XBOX OR PS3 GODDAMIT !!

  • @TheMetalcrypt Thank you.

  • @TheMetalcrypt It's a lot like if I were to say "yea I bought this car over yours because it has a better sound system. I know that everything under your hood might be better, as well as the design of the car itself but HOW MANY CDs CAN YOUR CAR HOLD?"

  • @SunriseInTheMidwest

    THANK GOD SOMEONE THINKS

    EXACTLY !!!!

  • @TheMetalcrypt .... I will leave this one alone

  • And this was their last commercial because Windows 7 actually works!!! Hooray for PC, it only took them over 20 years to get it right!!! hehehehe, PS: I'm a PC lover, have always been, but as a PC fanboy, still got frustrated with all the errors... But with Windows 7 I don't get frustrated anymore YAHOOOOOOOOO!!!

  • Windows 7 sucks, HE LIES!!!

  • @Fredrik2012 Make better OS.

  • Windows use DirectX 3D for games and Macs use OpenGL!!! Macs sucks at gaming!

  • this is a good ad

  • any company that needs to slag off every computer -home builds, dell, HP etc etc- except its own brand to advertise clearly has problems

end of the day, no prebuilt PC can compare to custom builds

  • "get my free ipad .tk"

  • young pc lol :)

  • @sunriseinthemidwest Actually mac is a cheap copy of PC Mac has bad steering a little shitty screen and i cant type for real on a mac i dont have issues the mac does.

  • Windows 7 fixed vista's problems also they missed 2000

  • " Ps3 has better graphics"

    Thats A LOAD OF BULLSHIT

ps3 cant even support directx9,what a load of crap.

    oh really?

Do you think ps3 will be able to run directx11?

No it wont.faggot, learn to understand the basics of Perfomance and Graphics.

  • the advertisement is pretty clever. but in reality, apple products aren't really that "necessary".. even some of the designers would still stick with windows because .. apple..is just .."unnecessary"

  • Every time someone says "trust me", you know you're about to get fucked.

  • Hahah, I love Macintosh tools.

Mac PC: Well with my iMac I can dual boot Windows and OS10 and play games with my 4670!

Win PC: Well since I don't use a Macintosh I actually understand computers so I used a basic EFI emulation process to install OS X on my Hecto-core, 5830, 28" build; which also cost $1200 in total.

Mac PC: Oh no! You broke Apples EULA!! Steve Jobs is going to be so mad!

  • who cares about games? I'd rather "edit a movie" or make a photo album. Then waste time playing games. Thats pc"s only legimate argument> it plays more games

  • Mac: Hey pc what you doing

PC: Oh just playing some games

    Mac: Really what games

PC: Oh you know all of them

  • @SGTHedrick I can too. All of them. Bootcamp allows me to do that. But when I play games, I play on a console because rather than spending well over $1,000 on a computer JUST to play games, I can play it on a system with far better graphics (PS3). And if you buy computers to play games all day I feel sorry for you. You might need to go outside.

  • @SunriseInTheMidwest Okay doucher i buy 1 computer for 900 and i can play any game i want btw consoles are for pussies plus the PS3 can lick my ass hole because the PC has about 3 time better graphical games than any pussy ass PS3 has. Faggot,

  • @SunriseInTheMidwest ? What you say....? PS3 has far better graphics than WINDOWS?

Obviously you know what you're talking about 0_0

  • @JasonJJasonJ The point is, if your entire argument for buying a computer is so you can play games, then it's stupid. With consoles one system lasts 4 or 5 years. Try buying a computer today and playing games 5 years from now. NOT gonna happen. You have to constantly be upgrading just to keep buying the modern games.

  • @SunriseInTheMidwest, you might call me stupid for wanting a PC to play games, (I play a lot of simulations which consoles don't), but at least I don't have to replace the whole computer to do said upgrades.

  • @JasonJJasonJ My old college, just last year got new iMacs. Before that, they were running eMacs from 2001 and were running 10.5.8 (Leopard) on them. Try taking a PC from 2001 and putting Vista on it. Not gonna happen. The reason Macs have a high resale value is because they last long. I have friends that have 6 and 7 year old iBooks. So no, I don't need upgrades all the time.

  • @SunriseInTheMidwest

Actually no, the operating system has bad cpu/instruction support (sse/powerpc)

If you treat your pc with care it will last longer than a mac.

  • @SunriseInTheMidwest

because they dont revolutionise their operating systems, they just tart them up a bit ? :p

  • @SunriseInTheMidwest Yes you do . I got an 10 years old PC and I run windows 7 ( 3 GB RAM , 2.2 GHz )

    surprised now ?

  • @SunriseInTheMidwest what about to upgrade your hardware??? To upgrade that you would need to buy a whole new Mac... while with windows, you just buy the piece of hardware and install in the computer.. who the hell cares if you can run it for that long, I have a comptuer from 2004 thats working fine, and can still play games that came out in 2010, while I brought the computer in 2004. its called putting the graphics to low. learn man. "try play games 5 years from now" I just did.

  • @SunriseInTheMidwest Ha, my laptop is windows and its 13 years old

  • @SunriseInTheMidwest macs are delicous, i dont hate pc's in fact i like, but i love my new mac

  • @SunriseInTheMidwest actually consoles don't last NEARLY as long as a pc does. i'm using a laptop i bought in 2009 and it's still kicking ass on all the modern games, microsoft has a huge problem with the xbox 360 and they only last 6 months to 2 years, i had a Ps3 once, but on it's 2nd year it just randomly stopped working for no visible reason. so i go with pc over ANY CONSOLE ANY DAY

  • @SunriseInTheMidwest u keep powing all of them lol

  • @SunriseInTheMidwest exactly!

  • @JasonJJasonJ you are so sad and wrong. As He said If you want to play games buy a console. A mac is better at every other thing. Take it for a guy who has both. You probably never tried a mac in your entire life.

  • @guitaruler don't waste my time with your stupid assumptions.

  • @JasonJJasonJ think about it. Sunrise was right in everything he said except the graphics. Thats why it was the only thing you dare to comment about. And really the graphics ain't much better than a ps3. Its slightly better if you have a really good and very expensive computer, but not much. You might as well spare some money and get a better computer so buy a mac.

  • @SunriseInTheMidwest

    Okay first.

Windows is 90% which means it supports more than games, any new software/games that come out might not be for a mac, if your time in bootcamp exceeds the time you are actually doing something in your mac then your mac was not worth it.

  • @SunriseInTheMidwest

i know this is an old comment, but you realise if you spend $1000 on a pc to play game,s you have BETTER graphics than a PC, and much cheaper games.... the other day i bought, Half-life (that the ps3 cant have ;)) HL 2 :e1, HL2:e2 colin mcrae dirt 2, hitman blood money, and counter strike scource...and i didnt even spent $30 ;) so you save the money iwth PCs very quickly

  • @SunriseInTheMidwest no offence but that was called being a doshe SGThedrick was just saying then you start being a doshe have fun catching a cold its chilly outside im just gonna play minecraft for a bit :P

  • @SunriseInTheMidwest i dont think he buys a pc just to play games. IT comes with the ability to play all the games you douche.

  • @SunriseInTheMidwest Sorry to say that , but I bought a PC that handles FAR more than any of the macs can , with half of the price .

  • @SunriseInTheMidwest *fast reply says hi* ps3 doesn't have better anything than a pc, it's just a cheaper alternative

  • Comment removed

  • @SunriseInTheMidwest Or you could spend around $700 on a PC and play ANY game at max settings and still do basically what a Mac can do instead of spending $1000 on a computer and another $300 on a console. And if you're going to make a point about it being just for gaming, you could spend the money that you aren't going to on a graphics card and whatever else and spend towards making the computer faster and still be very cost-effective.

  • @SunriseInTheMidwest But Boot Camp is basically Windows, which makes getting a Mac redundant.

  • @SunriseInTheMidwest i bet my 450$ PC will last 5 years , if it doesn't slap me in a face

  • @SunriseInTheMidwest im sorry bro but you are wrong a decent custom built computer would cost a ps3 and out live it by years and years

  • @SunriseInTheMidwest Wait you buy games?

  • The fact is that about every third Windows release is crap. Windows 98, Windows ME, and Windows Vista should be avoided.

Windows 95, Windows 98SE, Windows 2000, Windows XP, and Windows 7 are/were great.

  • I have to say Windows 7 is pretty cool when using it on a Mac. I use games for Windows mostly, and on a mac i use it for creative other stuff(making vids, composing music)... BOOTCAMP FTW.

  • @JoshKnightmare Bootcamp ist realy good. I tried parallel desktop but its not that what i need. I tried Warcraft 3 on it, but there was no chance to play it. it was so laggy :-D

  • Actually 95 was shit.

  • Why does it go from win 95 to windows 2? what about windows 3? terrible research for a terrible commercial.

  • hey, terrible commercial for a terrible product. and im not a fanboy, but microsoft is advertising file indexing and remote file sharing like its a new feature in computers. thats ridiculous if you ask me...

Linux is much better, so is OSX

  • Upgraded to Snow Leopard without any single issue so far. Upgraded a week after it came out, didn't reboot once since then !

Best OS around in last 10 years (appart from Linux and FreeBSD ;-) ). Yes, I know, OsX is Unix as it's FreeBSD-based.

    Welcome to Windows seven...

  • Errm, Mac OS X may be UNIX but that isn't because it is based on FreeBSD (which is considered merely Unix-like as is Linux) though that would give it "historical" ties to Unix.

  • I wouldnt expect a mac fanboy to believe me, but I have one 8 core mac with an AJA card with FCP studio 3 and a 17 inch macbook pro, 2.4ghz also with FCP, both mine, both on snow leopard... my wife's XP NEVER crashes. I have to force quit my FCP/Motion and sometimes cold reboot my macpro... so my experience is definitely not that mac is reliable, far from it.

  • XP is pretty stable, but running the same programs not as stable as OSX. for instance, is your wife running something as resource hungry as FCP? a macbook pro is not designed to run FCP exactly, and you didn't mention what you have in the desktop, because you might be running at minimum memory for example. just sayin its not really an apples to apples comparison

  • i have two macs and this is really embarrassing for Apple.

btw, my snow leopard macs crash DAILY, far more than my wife's loyal windows XP.

    Mark.

  • You honestly don't expect people to believe this do you?

  • @SunriseInTheMidwest

You obviously don't use your computer much.

  • DESPERA-A-A-A-A-A-A-ATION!

  • Excellent commerical. Even though I probably will upgrade to Windows 7 at some point...I have heard before that there will be no problems when all I'm being told is there will be no problems and guess what...I've experienced problems. How about some truth-in-advertising Microsoft.

  • I don't see why you're criticizing MS for this while turning a blind eye towards Apple. Why can't Apple acknowledge their own problems certain SL users are experiencing? E.g. though the SL-upgrade data deletion bug isn't widespread it isn't any less severe.

  • I've always hated these ads. They remind me of the ads put out by politicians pointing fingers at the other candidates, making accusations whether they're true or not. Actually, I think they may be one of the main reasons that so many people avoided Vista like the plague without knowing the facts. Instead of advertising "incredible" features, Apple just insults Windows. Very mature...

  • i agreee

  • i wish apple would make a new type of commercial, i am beginning to tire of these...come on apple, you are all about creativity and innovation in your hardware and software, why not kick some over to your advertising department?

  • but on another note, windows 7 is very nice, I highly recommend upgrading to it. I haven't upgraded to snow leopard yet, I hear there are still a few bugs to be worked out

  • Wouldn't the Mac guy be like 10 years old when Windows 3 came out!? I typically like these commercials (because I don't particularly like windows) but this one was their most weak of all IMO

  • Can we all get along? If you don't like this ad don't bother wasting oxygen typing up a response. Sunriseinthemidwest, you could also respect people's opinions instead of resorting to flaming. We can all coexist.

  • Wow, desperate much Apple? I also like how these commercials trick slower folks into associating pc's with windows.

Apple fan boys are a dime a dozen.

  • Desperate much Apple makes no sense. That goes to show you PC guys still don't have proper English skills. And let's see Microsoft's commercials owning Apple. The most recent one dealt with the App Store and the audio on the video was fucked up when they posted it here on YouTube. They just can't do ANYTHING right. Windows Seven is merely the fixed version of the broken Vista.

  • By the way, It is "Windows 7" you half-wit. By your logic Snow Leopard is merely the fixed version of Leopard. If you were aware Vista was rather bad before sp1 has the chance to iron out the bugs. You could practically eat off the shoes of the Windows 7 betas they were so refined.

  • Snow Leopard was an upgrade and that's why it costs $30. If Windows Vista was soooo much better, even after the SP1, why are there 70% of Windows customers who are STILL using XP? and 8 year old OS.

  • And on top of that, with Snow Leopard, you can upgrade from Tiger or any other OS X OS so long as you have a Intel machine. With Windows 7 if you want to upgrade from XP (which is most people who use Windows) you have to do a fresh install. Better back up all your data.

  • Did I hit a nerve? "Desperate much" is a bit of an e-term. Things us computer folk use.

I don't know why you're such an adamant defender of apple's osx when it has severe issues just like vista, and possibly 7 do. Personally I'm a linux guy. Didn't see that did you fan boy? Haha, you apple fanatics are all so bland and plain.

  • Vista was not "broken" the hardware companies did not release divers for the operating system. I am currently using Vista ultimate X64 and it is a great operating system. I have not had any problems since I installed it two years ago. I also find it entertaining that you cannot use English language either. You need to learn how to use quotes and how to support your own opinion. Because no one knows what you are writing about.

  • English was probably not that guy's first language... However, talking about language skills, you should have quoted him with these thing ' "..." '. You've got a lack of English skill yourself. GET A LIFE!

  • oh apple you are "cute". i pinch your chubby little cheeks.

  • So, what were the finer points of the mac OS? Any sort of appealing qualities I should be aware of? Because last time I checked, frivolous and baseless mudslinging kinda indicated a lack of anything to support one's self (in this case OS) on.

  • Fail

  • lol they're so desperate

    windows 7 FTW

  • That's a joke right? I've given it a test run but it's NO WHERE near OS X.

  • You sound like a joke. Am I supposed to believe you at your word? Anecdotes just make me think you have an agenda. What makes OS X so much better than Win7? Must be gaming, right?

  • Mac-fans are just like Wii-fans, they don't explain why they think Mac are the best and why it's better then Windows, other then saying "Windows gets a bunch of viruses", actually that is not true, my desktop doesn't have any security, I downloaded an anti-virus yesterday and there wasn't even one threat.

  • Do you download stuff? Like Limewire, torrent, etc.? If you didn't ou wouldn't get any viruses what so ever. If you download ANYTHING on windows, chances are that you might get a virus. See, you probably use your computer for just mainly blogging, watching videos, playing games, and just using microsoft word.
