  • this ad is fing sad.

  • You people obviously act as if you were never a fetus/embroyo, and quite frankly dont care for the pain which they DO feel and react to stimuli. Children are viewed as property unfortunately

  • Thank the Lord this law didn't pass.

  • yep. thank the lord this law didnt pass. now you can go to clubs with your freinds and get laid and then have abortions.

  • "I'm not pro abortion, I'm prochoice, big difference"<<---proponents of slavery rights in the 1850s said the same thing, No one was forced to have a slave, they were just allowed to have the CHOICE. Slaves were 0 - 3/5th a person at most, an unborn baby in the womb is legally not a person at all.

  • Suppose you have a 16 years old daughter who got pregnant by a 20 years old guy. Do you want to know what's going on? And why does a 16 years old girl need parental permission for tattoo and navel/tongue piercing, but not for major operation like abortion? That don't make sense!! And some of the 15/16/17 years old pregnant girls I know don't come from abusive homes.

  • You talk about a woman's right to choose, but does the baby decide wheter he/she lives or dies? A little hypocritical aren't we?

  • "When we consider that women are treated as property, it is degrading to women that we should treat our children as property to be disposed of as we see fit."-Elizabeth Cady Stanton, Letter to Julia Ward Howe, October 16, 1873, recorded in Howe's diary at Harvard University Library

  • now THAT is what I call an awesome quote

  • look, maybe you're ms. perfect parent, but what if your child had abusive parents? she would be in real danger from them. trust me: any teens who believed they were safe would already tell their parents. I know teenagers. I am one. why can't people ask the teens they're point of view!!?? it's so unfair!

  • yeah it shows how rap is talking... haha GAYYY

  • "dont hurt young women..." but kill babies? lol im voting NO on prop4 but this ad is so retarded

  • who is the girl at the end who says "vote, it's a very cool thing to do"?

as well as the guy who does the rap?

  • yea, she's cute

  • abortion is a terrible thing which shouldn't be done as a form of birth control.

I can't believe that I am the only atheist who thinks that life is precious.

    peace

  • o shyt the girl from be kind rewind at the end hell no supporting prop 4 u gotta be kidding me

  • Superb video! Five stars!

  • Well, I wasn't sure how to vote, but then when Rickie Vasquez from My So-Called Life told me to Vote No on 4, I knew it was the right thing to do ;-)

I'm giving this video 5 stars and adding it to my favorites!

    Thx 4 making/uploading it :-)

  • its womans rite to choice its there body.... and more then likey if they don';t want the kid like there going to take care of it

  • Lol! Over half the comments are yes on 4. I love it!

It did help me find out what actors I don't give a S#!t about anymore.

    Yes on 4! Protect kids!

  • You don't understand, This prop would not protect kids. The only thing it could do is hurt them

  • How? You people just parrot this crap back.

How can making sure adults are informed when their child undergoes major surgery?

Fyi, kicking out an underage child is illegal.

If an underage girl is pregnant a law has been broken so legally the parents should be informed.

No on 4 will put kids in unneeded danger and protects child predators.

It boggles the mind to see you guys truely believe the opposite.

  • "FYI, kicking out an underage child is illegal."

So is beating an underage child, but that doesn't stop parents from doing that occasionally, especially (depending on the family) if their child is pregnant out of wedlock.

You can either mandate that the parents know and hope they react decently, or trust the girl to know whether or not it's safe (yes, SAFE) to tell her parents.

  • love it

    wish i could vote

    no on 4!

  • There are only two options to consider.

We as a society either adopt a new philosophy (as you believe we should) and say our underage teen girls are now mature enough to enter into sexual intercourse and have access to reproductive health care.

Or else we continue on with our old & present philosophy (as I believe we should) to statutorily prohibit them from having sex with adults. I also believe such prohibition should include sex with other minors as well.

    Vote YES on 4 !

  • That isn't what this prop is about. This prop is about if girls do get pregnant that they should not have to tell their parents about it who may be abusive or kick their kid out of the house. Most parents would not do this, but the kids who have those parents would most likely tell them anyway. And btw it is illegal for 2 minors to have sex, just someone has to press charges and most people don't.

  • PROBLEM!

You, goredsox are forgetting that abortion is a serious procedure! Women DIE taking it sometimes. It is serious and they should have to tell their parents!

Hypocracy 411: In california, a nurse cant give a student tylenol, but they can tell a studnt to get an abortion!

  • You are in denial. 75% of high school seniors have had sex.

I have seen teenagers in the ICU after taking a bottle of pills.

I am prochoice because I am prolife. I want the impulsive young women who will do desperate things when they are desperate to live and go on and have other children in their future. Than to take their lives.

And a key flaw in your argument, they are NOT mature enough to have sex but they are mature enough to be mothers?

  • Minors (i.e. children under the age of 18) aren't mature enough to make every decision that effects their lives. Which is why we statutorily prohibit them from certain things like alcohol & tobacco just to name the two most obvious. And in contrast to your total lack thereof, most people, thank God, do have plain & common sense enough to concede that underage sexual activity should in all likelihood be the third most obvious ! And confidential abortions should be the fourth !

    Vote YES on 4 !

  • I come from an evangelical household. I got pregnant at 16 and did not want to sacrifice my future by having to raise a child, so I got an abortion. Had my parents found out about this, not only would I have been kicked out of the house, but I would have had to raise the baby thus making me suffer with the consequences into adulthood.

BTW, I am now a sophmore at UCLA, and without the abortion, I would be living paycheck to paycheck in some dinky apartment.

    No on Prop 4

  • Lesson learned. If your child effects your life in a bad way ie. making you be responsible for your actions, than kill it. But make sure your parents don't find out, they might get pissed.

They might be your life saving ride to the hospital if complications arise.

    Yes on 4!

Hon, your life might seem awesome now, but think how amazing it would be if you let your baby live. It'd be hard, no doubt. But, I can't imagine it being harder than knowing your actions took a life.

    Take care

  • You need to step out side your little enclosed bubble and actually think of the person you just sent your comment to. She would not be where she is in her life today had she kept the baby. Her actions didn't take a life. The baby wasn't even a baby yet. And if she didn't have an abortion it would have been her life that was taken away. Stop being single minded and think of other people. Obviously you haven't been in this situation.

  • Also if she told her parents about the abortion and got kicked out of the house do you think she would have been able to take care of herself and a baby with no place to live? The mothers life is way more important than the baby that would have been brought in to a horrible life style with no one to take care of her well enough

  • Wow, I'm not sure what is sadder. The fact that you don't know basic human biology, or the fact that you've never heard of adoption.

So tell me, what was she pregnant with?

You cant be pregnant with a lifeless blob of tissue, you're pregnant with a baby. The human heart starts beating 3 weeks after conception. Before a woman even knows shes pregnant she's a mom with a living baby. Im not saying a mom has to kept her baby, Im just saying she shouldn't kill her child to make her life easier.

  • The human heart begin beating at 5 weeks, when the fetus is no larger than 1/7 of an inch. Do not say that abortion is "killing a child." That may be your opinion, but that's just the point, EVERYONE HAS A DIFFERENT OPINION.

Women should have the right to choose what they do with THEIR bodies. If you believe that life begins at conception, that's great. Don't get an abortion. But you have no right to limit women's choices because of what you personally believe.

  • Wow, it's not offten I get hit with every stupid pro-abortion argument at once.

    1. The human heart stops beating at 3 weeks. (Funny, it was part of argument and you still couldn't get it right.)

    2. Not MY opinion, look in any medical book! The first human cell can be identified as a human cell. Tell me, what are you before you are a human?

YOU were the one to say "the human heart". Now you say it's "a woman's body. Make up your mind. Tell me, what part of the woman's body is the baby?

  • 1. I am not pro-abortion, I am pro-choice. Huge difference.

    2. The human heart begins beating at five or sometimes six weeks after the gestation period which lasts 4 weeks.

    3. It is a "human heart" because it is made up of human cells. That doesn't make the fetus a living being.

    5. I DON'T CARE WHAT YOUR OPINION IS, THE POINT IS IT'S A WOMEN'S RIGHT TO CHOOSE WHAT SHE DOES WITH HER BODY.

  • and its a parents right to be notified when their baby girl could be in danger or need of help!

  • With some families, "their baby girl" would be in much more need of help if the parents knew.

Which is better; to mandate that the parents be told and hope they don't abuse their child, or to leave it up to the girl to know if it's safe to tell her family or not?

  • I would hope by telling the parents it may shed some light onto whether or not there is abuse going on in the home, the girl was smart enough to go to a doctor for help i would hope she also trust enough to mention the abuse & I think there shld b follow ups on the families & dna testing shld b done so that the CHILDS safety IS of the utmost importance! Its RARE that a child will be physically harmed in this situation, often times its the fear of the unknown that is worse that the actually event

  • Continue'd.....

Don't like abortion, don't have one? Wow, that's the first time I've heard that one. It used to be "Don't like slaves, don't own one.". Funny how both those issues are human rights issues. It wasn't the slaves that rose up and ended slavery, it was those who didn't own them.

Those who are going to end abortion are those who don't have them, those who respect life, those who know when there is a human heart beat there is a human. A human worthy of human rights.

  • Hmm... human rights? Like, a women's right to choose?

Once again, I don't care what your opinion is, and I'm not going to change it via youtube. Goodnight.

  • this prop is not talking about WOMAN...its talking about little underage girls! who somehow got themselves in a tough situation weither it was their fault or not and need some loving guidance!

  • yeah, and if these 17 year olds have abusive or violent families... then they're in real danger. NO ON 4

  • Yeah, and there are built in protections for abusive or violent families. If we can spend money on starbucks, we can spend it on spreading awareness.

  • "To make her life easier"? Do you know ANYTHING about abortion? It's hardly an easy procedure to go through.

It's not as if women pay obscene sums of money just for convenience: this is a matter of life or death in many cases.

Do you know what some families do to girls that get pregnant without being married? Women have been beaten, disowned, and even killed.

A fetus is just as alive (and just as conscious) as a fingernail, but I don't hear you defending the fingernail's life.

  • listen up "GENIUS"...A FINGERNAIL IS NOT LIVE TISSUE!! thats why it doesnt hurt when you cut them, just like hair! HOW DARE U COMPARE A FETUS TO A FINGERNAIL YOU IGNORANT JACK A**!!

  • Uhm, where did the "genius" come from? I never claimed to be a genius, don't quote things you just make up, it's called a straw man argument.

And actually, a fingernail IS live tissue. If it weren't, it wouldn't grow. The part we cut is dead, but it starts out alive. If you don't believe that, cut your fingernail near the cuticle, and see if it doesn't hurt (sarcasm).

If pointing out that both fingernails and fetuses are alive and unconscious makes me a jackass, you must hate scientists.

  • I LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
