More interest and users of Linux than ever before and nearly all written here is negative. If Ubuntu really matters to you, (and a guess says it does. You are here right?) make a go at contributing your talents, time, and money to improve it. Why should the most successful operating systems be closed source?

Promote choice and improve the options for everyone contribute to and enjoy freedom.

Hey here's a thought, Mr. Ubuntu... MAKE EVERYTHING GRAPHICALLY DRIVEN! U know, like U know who... U know, so actual 'human beings' can use it - not just programmer fux who wanna' waste their life learning the PROGRAMMING LANGUAGE called "Linux".

It's not an OS. It's a programming language. Oh yea' let's open a 'terminal window' 2 configure our video card - wtf??

ROFL @ 'need a slick interface' - no sh*t Sherlock! Ubuntu looks like ASS! & 'netbook interface needs work' - oh, but I like how Ubuntu & all other 'nixes' don't run my laptop, or just half of it - so I can spend my lifetime fiddling with something that is just never gonna' do what Windows does AUTOMATICALLY and with ZERO effort, because every PC & laptop already comes with Windoze running EVERYTHING U NEED.

I don't get it, he seems to just be blowin smoke and trying too hard to seem smart. He first says he does NOT want his OS to be binary compatible w/ other linux distro, but then says (like a wannabe hero) that he loooves the collaboration (working together w/ others). He's a smart and generous guy, but HOLY HELL, pull it together & make sence man!!! Don't F***ing kill compatiblity A** HOLE!!! he's just going around in circles IMO

I think his synchronization idea is sort of... unfairly hated. It's a good point, if you're on a time schedule, you might as well align the thing with projects that depend on you/you depend on.
