  • NICE sounds good

  • is she hard to kick over?

  • It's electric start only.

  • @ltd550oo

almost positive there were no kickstarters on kz after 79, but i had a 79 1000 it was easy to kickstart

  • now that sounds good........

  • sounds damm good

  • did you install rear sets on you 750?

  • No rearsets, no need since I ride only alone.

  • hmmm thanks

  • Sorry, was thinking of passenger foot pegs, should read more carefully.

I installed a pair of rearsets from a cbr1000rr using adapterplates I made out of aluminium.

  • wouldnt that break in a crash?

  • It's actually quite sturdy, I used 1/4 inch 6061 aluminium for the plates which are held in place by 2 steel bolts using the original footpeg mounting holes. The steel bolts would be grinding over the pavement since they are sticking out from the plate. I don't plan on testing it though ;) .

  • HMM THANKS...still planning what bike honda or kawasaki lol

  • one word DAMN

  • Nice bike dude, did you manually paint that by your self? Looks good. I am fixing my free 1981 Kawasaki KZ750, the thing just need body work and the electrical. I was wondering if the gas cap is originally like that, mine is a square type cap.

  • Thanks, yes, painted myself it's just rattlecan right now until I have it all finished, I'm still cutting and welding as I go along. I'm swapping a zx7 front and rear on it right now.. . It came with a tank that has a square gascap, the tank that is on it now is off a '75 KZ900P, I welded a new bung in to take a pop up gascap.

  • Thanks for the reply, the bike is cool, wonder what it looked like right now. My bike looks alot better and cleaner now, I customized the gas tank to a round gas hole from a square cap. Its alot of body work but its done. Still alot more to go for the ignition system. I will post a video of it someday. Keep your KZ healty, good luck.

  • i would really like to see a close up of how you did the exhaust. i am thinking about doing the same thing to my bike

  • There isn't really much to it, it's just a 4-1 header off ebay and a Vance and Hines Supersport Muffler from a 1990 750 Ninja I got off ebay too. I just cut the muffler to lenght and had a mufflershop weld an adapterpiece on it to fit the header.

    Hope this helps.

  • i just got an 83 750...christ its a sick bike...i cant believe the raw power these machines are putting out..no wonder they are so prized on the drag strip

  • Is there aney performance parts besides the exhaust on that?

  • Not really, just some pod filters and larger main and idle jets for now.
