  • whoa! what a serve!

  • That might be a semi western grip. Seems to get a lot of straight shots with minimal spin on his serves

  • @FairwayJack more like a continental yes

  • interesting serve...but i can see he is hitting the ball pretty low

  • Very similar to Verdasco's. Someone should put up a comparison. Moya's whole game is classy. Just lacks a little power off backhand.

  • Un servicio muy elegante, que le proporciona muy buenos angulos

  • Actually he relies on a lot on his serve. A lot more than most guys raised on clay. His bread and butter combo is still a good first serve followed by the big forehand to the open court. His backhand is more versatile now than it used to be. Uses a one handed slice much more often, which is a good thing for his game.

  • Niiiice. 2 aces in a row. Very nice placement. Good disquise too.

But I bet this is on a good day. I mean, otherwise he would still be in the top 10, but probably below the top 5 still. I doubt he hits 2 aces in a row often.

  • Moya has an interesting service motion. Very little knee bend, but he gets a decent amount of power from his back-to-forward body motion, and his apparent upper body strength. It's definitely one reason why he has held up well over the years, since this motion doesn't tax his knees at all.
