  • at .23 .24 it would of been nice to see the kill i just saw the arrow start to fly. very hard to read the image to post

  • you take life needlessly and are the bringers of death. disgusting. hope someone shoots you, see how you like it.

  • Was the elk shot in utah?

  • Taking the biggest animal out there is wrong...all it is is a dick contest...you never should take the biggest it doesnt make sense...how are there supposed to be more monsters out there if you take down the papa...fuckin sportsman are faggots and have no repect for the hunt...hunting isnt about the biggest it is about survival and you that sport hunt are faggots who suck cock for a living...but wanna how your father that you can be a man...must feel good to have your BF watch you take all down

  • @HansDesterhoft your use of foul words only prove your mentality is lower than whale poop .....you live in town and buy your food...too bad ....depend on yourself for something sometime....

  • @turkeyguy53 my use of foul words does not imply anything about my mentality...seeing as though you lesser humans only respond to such language...I happen to be an avid hunter and love the thrill of the hunt...I don't search out the trophy...I have respect...and as for depending on anything I do I am in the military and I don't kill unless neccesary please do not insult me again

  • @HansDesterhoft your an idiot,

  • @HansDesterhoft Never fails, I knew I would find a lib on an emotional rant if I clicked on the next hunting video...and here you are. You don't scare us big guy, in fact, you amuse us, that you would take the time to mock us under a video we admire...Go back to watching Opera, wait, she's finally off the air, so go watch the Ellen Degeneres Show and dream about Obama winning a second term...

  • if i had a tag and a bow if i were that guy at least 1 of those bulls would of been in my next taco and on my wall

  • hey thats a great video what a true Gift from God congrats Mclendons and Shawn Patterson. gotta love unit 10!

  • I like how you can see the arrow take off towards the bull on the #5 ranked elk

  • its amazing how many "environmentalists" as they call themselves know nothing about hunting yet they watch and post comments to videos about hunting and call hunters 'savage killing beasts' when in actuality we are preserving the species by killing a small amount of the population so that they don't overpopulate, if we didn't do that more animals would die because they would run out of food and diseases would spread faster than normal, and we dont just kill for the animal we actually eatthe meat

  • Like the video... GREAT guitar music... who is the artist?

  • 0:24 seconds,,,,, I can see an arrow flying towward the elk......why did you jumped to another secuence?

  • Let me address why hunters like big animals. Big animals are the archtype of the species. Fishermen are similarly disposed.

Let's be honest. What fisherman is happy catching a minnow when he might catch a monster trout?

Sport hunting and trophy hunting catches a lot of flak. I agree with the criticism if the meat is not utilized. Would the critics be happier if our nimrod hunter shoots the first yearling elk or fawn he happens across? A higher standard equals less killing and more hunting.

  • @davidleealford This is true.... and the chances of a yearling living threw a hard winter is more likely than an old bull or cow getting threw similar to a teen to early 20 year old human living threw rough times opposed to an old crippled person and dying because of a hard winter is much worse than being killed by an arrow or bullet

  • Nice vid, but it could be longer

  • 500 nations of nomadic tribes and sedentary tribes, pueblo building tribes, great mound building tribes, pyramid building tribes(maya). etc.etc. As for the "necessity" or not of hiking and camping, its a moot point. We have seen the negative of hunting predator species to almost extinction(wolves) and we have seen the environmental damage done to over feeding prey species(deer) and populations exploding. All due to euro/anglo saxon mindsets and ideology. trophy & sport hunting is not ethical.

  • PaiLung, one might argue:

What it is with you fishermen than you aren't happy catching minnows. Why do you guys have to flaunt your egos by bragging on the the big fish you caught?

What is the deal with trophy fishing, you must have small dicks. Why is that when you guys see a fish you either want to eat it or rip it out of it's home? Where's the reverence for God's creation?

Everyone knows fish stocks are way down world wide. All due to overfishing. Trophy & sport fishing is not ethical.

  • agreed.

  • @PaiLung So how much of your own money have you put into protecting fish and big game? Many things that a hunter and fisherman buys goes to protect what they love the most. The biggest thing that contributes to the decline in big game is WINTER HABITAT. There is only so much of it. Tags are based on this. Without harvesting animals they would just die. Is that ethical? You should be complaining about all the people building their cabins and house in these areas.

  • Hunting was a necessity back then and is not so much now, nowadays it is a brutal way that humans feel they have to do in order to "connect" with nature. Ill tell ya, i have not needed to kill or hunt anything to feel connected to nature and i am a back country camper hiker and outdoorsman. yes i fish the waterways and i bring food with me. When I SEE an Elk in the wild my first thought is not of Killing it. my first thought is of reverence and THAT is a native mindset.

  • furthermore, the native peoples that once lived in this land before the incursions of europeans lived simply off the ecosystem. They took what they needed and honored and revered what they took. They did not go out with some inflated sense of entitlement or some need to "connect" with nature by arbitrarily killing an animal for the sport or the trophy, THAT is a euro and aristocratic mindset that takes and misrepresents a biblical saying that we have domination over the animals and the planet.

  • Regarding your euro and aristocratic mindset, to the contrary, I have a Native American and biological mindest. ALL races were hunter gatherers, including the white race - and not so long ago. In fact, European races may have been the first settlers of North American. But regardless, your assumption that I seek domination couldn't be further from the truth. It is modern society that seeks domination and it is man's alienation from Nature that has brought us to the brink of ecological collapse.

  • European races did not settle north America, the fossil and archeological record indicates that the native peoples of north america came across the bearing strait form Asia(those arent europeans) Vikings only passed through the upper east coast and what is now nova scotia. The chinese passed through the coasts on trading missions and gatherers of knowledge. Native societies did not have euro mindset nor did they follow the same path as the euros as they "evolved" if you could call it that.

  • Would you be willing to bet your life that the first Americans were not European races?

  • There are many things we do today that are not necessities. Such as hiking, camping, and fishing. Hunting is also not a necessity, that doesn't bring any import to the debate. The question is not whether something is necessary but whether it is an environmental and ethical good.

The Native American mindest included reverence but almost certainly killing an elk for food had the highest priority and I see no clash of moral ethics between the two.

    con't

  • I think we are on the same page here, just that you hunt still and i do not. Would YOU be willing to bet YOUR life that the first "Americans" were? Besides, that designatiion" first Americans" seems to have a specific race attached to it. if we go by the "first Americans" i would contend that the first Americans to settle here were in fact eurpoean(spanish to be exact) but THEY were not the first PEOPLES to settle this region, we give that to the 500 nations of native peoples that once existed.

  • I'm simply asking if you are so positive the first peopling of the Americas came across the Bering Strait that you would bet your life that you would bet your life. If you are so sure of yourself and your knowledge, the answer would seem to be yes. If you have some doubt, the answer is no. Which is it?

  • By "Americas", I simply mean the continent not a political or historical entity

  • The reason I asked if you would bet your life European races did not settle North America first is because if you would bet your life, you surely would bet someone else's and so join the Taliban who are read to decapitate another human on the basis of different beliefs.

FYI, recent Clovis point research indicates the Solutrean peoples of Europe may have been in the Americas first.

It's not a settled issue by an means, but the point is everyone needs to realize their beliefs may not be perfect.

  • well there is the dimena "May have been", doesnt seem like established FACT now does it?

  • There are scant few established facts when it comes to the deep history of the Americas. Kennewick man may have been of Polynesian ancestry. We just don't know. But we do know some of the Clovis points and spears had remarkable resemblance to European aboriginal work and virtually zero resemblance to Asian work.

The relevance of the topic to belief systems is there should always be room for doubt. Understanding is far too rare when one side is pitted against another.

  • @davidleealford That's not the taliban fella. It's not al-qaida either. None of that is what you think it is, I can tell just by your words. Al-qaida is a bunch of ACTORS in these fake little videos and sound bytes they feed you and call the enemy. Little did you know they produce that crap themselves, but you don't know who "they" are, because you're spouting THEIR propaganda about "the taliban". Go to subvertednation (dot)(net) and get the free book. You need to learn the truth BIG TIME.

  • 0:24 u can see an arrow at the very end

  • I dont think you can call it a good hunt when your outfitter has people all over looking for game. I think its sad to think that he is not able to find it on his own and hunt with the hunter..... Its a nice bull by all means and I would not pass on it at anytime. I would just like to see outfitters do it the right way.

  • Why did you edit out the arrow hitting the elk? Grrr

  • Yes so awesome that you Killed something. I mean its really great that you killed it. Way to go. you deserve a medal for killing things. i mean what could feel better than the feeling you get when you take a life. ANY life. Hahaha im all giggly now just thinking about it. I have a hard on now,,wow i am jizzing my pants. Wow killing things eliminated my impotence problem.

  • Hey James, get out of the city and off the computer, it will do you good...you're watching too much TV and porn.

  • Ever had a piece of bacon? Chicken? maybe soem beef? Ever? Hunting is how we all feed ourselves you see. The difference between hunting game and buying it at the grocer is this. That pig/cow was killed with a bolt gun in a pen and had no means of escape. The Chicken... head lopped off after being jammed in a "killing cone". So go fuck yourself and your lame comments. Hunting is the purist form of providing.

  • No,sir, i dont think i will go fuck myself. In fact i encourage YOU to go fuck YOURSELF. Do we live in the stone age? We still pretending to be injuns and stompin around the forest shooting arrows at big game? Trust me this kind of "hunting" is not designed for the benefit of feeding people. This type of hunting is for the "Sport" and for the "trophy" and i do not support it. Its lame, its stupid and only serves to curb some douchwad's need to feel good about himself. Superior species my ass.

  • PaiLung you are a sad human being, if you don't like it don't watch it. Stick to your supermarket aisle hunting

  • PailLung, I've really come to love the Southwest and the ecosystems here thru elk hunting. I've read your critique and your from the outside looking in. Not many people who have hunted elk in the Southwest reverse themselves and find it an ugly experience. To the contrary it shocks them into realizing how fuked up modern society is...the same society which has brought us to the brink of ecological disaster! Maybe the injuns will have the last laugh...

  • Why do you have to love the ecosystems of the southwest by killing an animal that exists and operates perfectly within that ecosystem? You seem to think that i am on the outside looking in but i LIVE in the southwest and know all too well the ecosystems and i can enjoy them without having to kill something and make an excuse that i am doing some greater good for that ecosystem. This is Sport and trophy hunting and nothing more. it serves no purpose other than to kill for the thrill of killing.

  • I killed an elk with my bow and it fed two Native American families and myself for quite awhile with healthy lean meat. Couldn't have been more ecological. Without hunter's dollars we would have very few elk in the Southwest. You look at death as being a negative, but Nature has always approve of hunting and death is Her greatest invention. The ecoystem is not a glass menagerie of things. It is a biological river of processes. You kill also but your gut pile is your daily garbage.

  • well then i would contend that you are not a sport hunter nor are you a trophy hunter, if in fact what you are typing to me is true and not bullshit designed to make yourself look better in lieu of my comments. If in fact you help to feed people who are less fortunate and who cannot provide for themselves then that is honorable. I dont see Death as a negative, but the manner in which that death comes to the animal kingdom by our hands can be negative and senseless, im sure you understand that?

  • @walkerdee amen brother these people are stupid they do not realize we are conservationist helping wildlife servive or they can hit a large game animal and let it come through the windsheild and kill them and or there kids keep hunting and eating good meat!!!!!!

  • @walkerdee it's amazing to me how people do not and will not understand how fresh this meat is. No steroids, not controlled fed and not confined fed. This is a beautiful free range fed animal that is way way way more healthy for you and tasty than the product we call meat on the market today.

  • nice animal !!

  • coooool!!!! how many points was that beast?

  • He is a 7X7 14 total points, his score is 432 gross and 414 net

  • that is awesome!

  • if there was a elk season kill that last bull o the vidio you would be a million air

  • awesome footage! Wow...incredible beatiful bulls! congrats
