It's quite refreshing to find a pro- geek and nerd video with a good dash of humour. :) But not all geeks or nerds are 'unattractive' per se; there are many average, and even above- average geeks and nerds that just could care less about popular clothing styles and imposed gender norms and 'acceptable forms' of behaviour.

I really like how you said that geeks are the dreamers, and nerds use their skills to make those dreams a reality; that was a very apt explanation.

The word geek and nerd are slang and started at the same roots. The describe those socialy periahed in 80s and 90s school years. There is now real differentiation between the two. For example, I love Star Trek for both reasons you stated.

Geeks can be geniuses too. All it takes to be a geek is to be obsessive over a certain subject that typically bores other people. I'm not too good GPA wise... but i can tell you more about electricity and guns than a textbook. That's where sub geeks come in (computer geeks, weapon geeks, etc etc)

I am obsessive about certain things too but I have Asperger's Syndrome wich I never tell so it's very convinient to say that I'm a geek cuz everyone knows what a geek is. I make collections of things and organize them in categories and in order - is that geeky enough? hehe!
