im a big madden fan but im pissed that they are a monopoly ,there is little doubt that the game has decline in performance since madden 2005 , yes madden 2009 is much better than the past three games but this is the next generation of gaming just think on how badass madden would be if it was still trying to out perform 2k remember those years where the game just got better and better to me it's a big dissappointment that i find madden06 on the PS2 has a deeper franchise than 2days game

I bought it and was disappointed. If you check user scores like in gamespot most people are giving it a 5 out of 10 and quite a few 1's. I thought "no way it's that bad" but alas it is. It's pretty to look at but the game play feels...well...broken. The last true great football game still remains ESPN 2k5. If you remember it was $20 new and raised the bar pretty high that has yet to be surpassed even today (simply awesome). That was the game that scared EA and got a monopoly over NFL games.

Yes! ESPN 2k5 was the last great football game made. Remember how cheap it was? The quality, attention to detail, overall fun, replay value and competitive price is what got EA to hold a monopoly over the NFL licensed games.

I love madden but this year was a huge let down,its fun but EA really ripped everyone off this year,all they did was upgrade the graphics and added a few new features,wrapped it up and charged us $60.how can they not even upgrade a single thing in superstar of franchise mode.

ahh the cheapness of still being a PS2 user. I'm getting an Xbox 360 for christmas, But for now all I have to spend is 40 dollars! woo, lol. So honestly I think madden is fun no matter what they upgrade. If it has updated rosters that is all that really matters to me.
