The Absence of 'R' rating for Australian Games

why dont they make the games MA15+ then have a DLC PATCH to make it R18+ making the kids happy but the adult pay a little extra for their entertainment if a kid download/buys the dlc underaged thats there fault. same as ordering wine with mummys credit card online or watching a R18+ movie online it silly

This might happen, some states may go rogue against the board of classifications and decide to allow R18+ games without all agreements between all attorney generals. They may remove the MA15+ and replace it with the R18+, I'm not sure, Every attorney general agreed except for the one in NSW. This has just wrecked it for the entire country.

Australia should bring in an R classification for games. We don't, so we get the fucking second hand copies of games, have to import, smuggle or pirate the good copies, developers have to appeal, we adults are treated like kids, and the local retail misses out, and it interferes with our past times. Most gamers are adults, the average age is about 30. The main problem is Michael fucking Atkinson, he is ruinging things for everyone. He should not be in office. He will not listen.

for example, gratuitous or exploitative depictions of sexual violence, such as the sexual

assault simulation game Rapelay. It could also include games that included violence with

a very high impact that offends against the standards of morality, decency and propriety

generally accepted by reasonable adults to the extent that they should not be classified."
