I have a question. My mouse cursor does not work on this game. It is not solidly there all the time, them mouse blinks repeatedly barely showing up. Has anybody else had this problem? I use Windows Vista on a PC laptop. Is there something i can change in settings that will fix this? Or do I need to buy a new mouse? If so, what mouse? Please help.

i havnt played LOTRO i was a WOW guy but that money began to catch to me. so im thinking to join LOTRO. i was interested in Burglar but is the game still really fun if you dont pay and just join the free to play. What i mean is am i missing out on a lot of the game is i just play free to play? someone please reply!! i would appreciate feedback.

@MrMrSamFisher What you get in free play is alot of good quality gameplay. You miss out on a few things, but for the most part, you can lvl to 50 with plenty to do. What you don't get in freeplay is the mounting skill, extra bags, you can't auction, and you are limited to the amount of skills and talents you can put in trait slots. Those are the biggest things you'll miss, but luckily, you can get them with Turbine Points you can pay for, or earn through gameplay.

@MrMrSamFisher Yes, unfortunately the trait slots are what bothers people the most. You get four categories: Virtue, Race, and Class traits. Those traits have 5 slots each, but freeplay only allows you 2. Legendary traits have 3 slots, but free only gives you one. You can earn points by completing deeds to unlock 1 slot at a time, but that can take a while to achieve, as each trait slot is expensive in points. You could also buy the points to unlock all for about $20 (estimate).

@MrLe0x Trait lines help you sorta further customize your character.

There are Virtue Traits, Racial traits, Class traits, and Legendary traits.

You can get these through killing a specific amount of mobs, doing quests, finding things in middle earth, etc.

An example of a virtue trait is that it will increase your might (strength) by say 10.

@qustav37 Burglars are very fun but they aren't a straight up damage class like rouges or assassins. The burg's strengths are in debuffs and group combos, sneaking is not as big an aspect once you get mischief also.

i got both the game and a expansion for 9.99* with a month included, and yea the monthly bill is 9.99 too, if you currently play wow lotro doesnt really do anything new that makes it a better choice than wow, the game looks beautiful and everything just works so perfectly but to me it has something missing that makes wow feel more alive.

maybe its the way every class and race just feels much more unique and equally capable in wow but lorto its a great choice if you're not currently into any mmo

You're right about there being more champions, at least on my server. I find Burglar much more enjoyable but damn dude.. Champions are pretty badass. It basically comes down to what you want, single target DPS, with CC.

Or multi target splash damage, and lots of it.

Yeah man, new skills aren't just new skills. Everything's gonna add to the way you play the game. So take some time to read over each skill you get just so you have a better understanding of your class. Also, don't fall behind on traits =)

Daggers: Very fast lower damage.

Swords: Medium damage, medium speed.

Mace: Heavy damage, low speed.

So man, its whatever you wanna use, people may want to knock you for your choice, but that's just cause you're not following their Play style

Ummm, nah champions are the DPS heavies of the game. We Burglars are more so a Jack of all trades, we can DPS, Crowd Control, Debuff, heal ourselves, start Fellowship maneuvers. Also though, if you spec yourself right, you can push your DPS high, like BAM high =)

its a brilliant class im loving it level 22 atm, great solo play and brilliant at sparring :D

My favourite thing about the class for me is that it has made dying fun again, since i have to pay 400s everytime i die on my tank.

Yea i was thinkin bout a hobbit burglar!! I had a champion before, but i got a wee bit bored of him. Hunters sound appealing, so does the warden, captain lore master! Guardians, minstrels and rune keepers dont seem all that awesome to me. Any thoughts?

Played all classes for a while and for me hunter was the most boring char, mostly you just nuke it down before it has chance to do something, now this might sound like a fun and it is, but only for a while imo. Burglar is cool cause you can control fight a lot, Lore master can do it to, but hey, we burglars do it with style ! :D

I have one but he is low level, i decided to stick with my captain as my main. Hobbits have great starting quests and locations, burglars are also awesome, i just preffered the captain more. my advice is to get the game!

There are many kind of armors.

Light armor, Medium armor and Heavy armor. Light armor is like cloth and medium leather. Heavy armor is chain then. Bugs and lore-masters wear light at the start but they can wear medium later. Guardians, champions and captains wear medium at the start and later they can wear heavy armor. Correct me if I'm wrong. The armors look good, good graphs and all.

I am picking up LOTRO soon, looks like a great game. Not sure what class to play. thinking of Burglar but feeling they might be to weak. Can you do most of the stuff on your own as a burglar? Also if you have ever played guild wars is it anything like the Assassin class in that?

No way man Burglars are anything but weak. Amazing solo class, and well needed in high end raids/PvP. In fact. I was gonna make a new lvl 50 Burglar video of me soloing "Elites".

Also yeah I have played Assassin in GW, but really they aren't too similar. If you ever have any video requests tell me and I'll put some time aside to make it. =) Hope I helped.
