Woah, this is one of the best songs ever. I've always loved it. This has always been one of the easiest, most fun song for me to sing, thanks for posting it!
I am not a professional singer, but I can say this...
Make sure you listen to the actual song at least several times while looking at the lyrics, and then try to see if you remember the lyrics while listening to the song without them. Once you are familiar with the song, you will notice that there are notable "breaks" where you can catch a quick breath before singing the next line.
Because the songwriter sort of overlaps the lines, you may have to avoid singing the last word of each line so that you can be prepared to sing the first word of the next line. Note that catching your breath in between lines will be a conscious effort, rather than being subconscious, so you will have to be constantly aware of how much air you have left in your lungs and where you can utilize song breaks the most.
@jukeman69 yeee i know. I've been doing that. And even if you listen to that song a million times and know every syllable (this song is my drug) it's still a bit difficult to catch that breath because it's so fleeting.
