J'etáis dans cette nuit à l'Opera de la Bastille - Paris... il a été absolument inoubliable... à la fin tout le monde s'est élevé et a applaudi pendant plus que 10 minutes... plus que la moitié pleurait, je crois!
Magnifique interprétation de ce grand opéra que j'adore. J'ai beaucoup aimé le début de l'oeuvre lorsque l'on voyait Jonas Kaufmann se préparer dans les coulisses.
The section starting at 7.14 is almost unbelievably superb - Kaufmann and Koch ARE the characters and it is intensely moving and thrilling. A lesson to anyone who wants to know why I love opera.
Wonderful scene and beautifully performed. Kaufmann does not, in my opinion, have the ideal timbre for Werther, my ear is in want of more brightness on top, a bit more of vibrancy in the ring of the voice, a voice that is a touch more slender in the middle but blossoms in the upper range. Kaufmann's dark, burnished tenor is more meaty in the middle but slims down a touch at the top, however he is incredibly musical and sensitive and convinces; a fantastic Werther in his own right. Bravo!
What Jonas kaufmann did in Paris was awesome! Absolutely stunning! The whole cast, director and conductor delivered one of the most vibrant and breathtaking Werther ever performed... It is just a pity the full video is no more available on arte tv... Let's hope (or let's make it happen!) Ideale Audience and Opera de Paris will join efforts to release a dvd soon!!
Sophie KOch et JOnas Kaufmann ont sublimes. Et la mise en scene, une de plus belle et plus "heartbreaking" que j'ai vu. Bravo Paris . L'Opera de Paris rest a sa hauteur.
Toujours visible sur arte live web (dans le menu en haut sur le site d'arte) dans son intégralité et en HD (jusqu'à fin mars, je crois...). Le bonheur !
