@NinjaNegra101 The legendary ending of Halo: CE is not canon, simply funny. Johnson escaped Halo with some other marines on a pelican and hid until MC and Cortana found them. This is according to the book Halo: First Strike, which details what happens with Master Chief between Halo and Halo 2.

I, like many others, have been gaming for decades. The one game I would pick out of all the great games I've been lucky enough to play is Halo:Combat Evolved. The gameplay, the enemies, the sticky grenades, the elite's final agonising roar as the grenade which is stuck to his head goes off, the music...ooohhhh the music!! This game and its campaign co-op has given me and my brother some of our best memories together. Thanks Bungie!!

Wow...as I listen to this I can already see the dead hulk of what was once the mighty Pillar of Autumn battered and defeated on the edge of a cliff.
