Are Void Rays or Immortals better against Ultralisks? Lots of times when I go into a 3 Gate FE then the Zerg always go for a Kraken Build (Speedlings, Ultralisks, Infestors, and Brood Lords.

@navrozlal ultralisks cant attack air. so voids have no chance of dying vs ultras. if you want to know what would kill an ultralisk faster. a void or an immortal. a void ray would win. the immortal would die quicker.

this build will NOT save you from a 7 roach rush. Just so everyone is aware, a 7 roach rush will usually hit your ramp at about the 5 minute mark. At 4:50 this player didn't even have his first sentry out yet. 1 forcefield will not hold off 7 roachs for very long when you have a zealot sentry and stalker. jesus.

thanks alot force! im using this build alot in my gold league. i found out that instead going for colossi, going for mothership is amazingly strong too. people don't expect cloak around 15 minutes, so i won alot of games with it.

After watching this replay and cast; I played a custom game with a diamond play that I did not know was Diamond. I won using lots of stalker, sentry and gollys and some immortals. I ended up wining! I know leagues and ranks don't matter, but for me to beat any diamond player being bronze I was very happy sentry Force field rocks as a skill! My opponent was Terran. I am not saying this because I think I am really any good, however I think since watching Forces videos I have gotten a lot better!

@ForceSC2strategy when he has so much mineals in plus at 4:00, why doesn't he build a forge to protect his base with some cannons? I mean, he cannot be sure that there is no buried roach or Mutalisk eco-attack coming soon, and even against zerglings its a good blocker/ time creeper.

I dont understand why he GG'd He was working off 4 bases. All he had to do was tech to Broodlords or Ultralisks to run past the force fields and go roach or hydra. But awesome tutorial. Great commentator

@lidochris Broodlords and Ultras both get owned by Void Rays. ANd if you're going brood lords/ultralisks then you're not going to have a lot of gas left over for mutas/hydras.

quick question force, how do you force field correctly. Let's say you want to chain some FF to divide an army in 2. Is that done by pressing F repeatedly or by shift clicking? I've tried to shift click but sentrys seem to put that on a queue after attack...

The forcefields can't really be queued because of the smartcast mechanism in place for the skill - it'll only have one cast to maximise the use of energy even with multiple sentries. Best to manually cast it because you can override that mechanism then.

@hi9880 a lot of options. 2 exp is 600 minerals. and if he saturates them fully its 90 workers. which he cannot afford because he wont have any attacking units then. a timing attack is very powerful, attacking exactly when number 3 is done. either destroying it or reducing the enemys army size. if you reduce a zerg players army size he cant produce workers and then he has a hatchery for decoration.

the problem is on very large maps there is usually only chokes around your base, so moving out and expanding against a zerg is very hard as these forcefeild arent effective enough, while the zerg can expans at will, should i continue to adopt this sentury build or change my tatic compleatly? (on a large map)

humm im wondering cant you do sentry harass get a warp prism warp in a couple of sentries forcefield mineral patches to block mining from gas or minerals and then just pick them up and run away

@skaptiben Not really worth the expense. Better to warp in a zealot or two and just kill however many probes you can or force them to stop mining for a few. Much less investment for the same amount of damage.

@skaptiben By the time you have a couple of sentries and a warp prism the zerg player will have mutas or hydras..which will wreck your drop.

Sentries cost 50min/100 gas, robotics facility costs 150 gas 200min and warp prism costs 200min.

So for a 4 sentry drop it costs 600min/550gas...and you'll probably get spanked.

If you want early pressure just 2-gate rush or korean warp-gate them. Makes much more sense.

i just realized why people would use their scouting probe to take a chunk of the opponent's minerals. its 2 things. one is u get to steal a sweet 5 minerals lol. and the other thing is instead of right clicking on a mineral patch when surrounded or stuck by units attacking it, u can just press c to phase through and return to base
