A concern with large consumer base is the lack of green in production. The problem with population control is who and how it is determined. There is no fair way to determine worth based on money. We need to learn to work from the same page to make progress which mean learning we are one people.

How do we curb population growth? There is a terminal number of people this planet will support. Yes, peak oil is being used up exponentially as well. It seems almost any meaningful component or facet of today's world is growing/shrinking exponentially. It's spooky and yet fascinating, huh?
There are no easy solutions to population control. I agree, it should be a more frequent topic of concern. However, I also think that if we lived more tribal/primitive/basic needs/barbaric lifestyles then living space would not be as big of an issue. Indigenous tribes flourished because they had more respect for their environment, and the weak died while strong survived.
Interesting insight. I've wondered about that in the context of what effect population numbers have on hunter/gatherer tribes. I don't know of any that are of a large number. If that's the case, then we're back to needing a reduction in overall population.

Great topic.
It may be part of the reason many are feeling something big is going to happen. Many times over, civilizations were wiped out, and for various reasons. Some natural, some man-induced. The Anazazi - they aren't sure exactly why or what happened to them.
Something tells me, that whether we try to limit population control or not, that the cycle will continue.
Maybe not God given, but a right, non-the-less. We've had enough our rights messed with - and we're past the prep point.

anywhere where there is prosperity, birthrate declines- and where there is education, infrastructure, and the rule of law there is productivity and the beginnings of prosperity- 3 billion more uneducated poor sick people will be a tragedy, 3 billion well educated, creative people will be a blessing

This is one of the best videos I've ever seen on YouTube. I was ready to say that after the first 3 minutes, when it was just you kidding around and having fun. But then you took it to the next level and made some deeply fascinating and interesting points about population growth and the poorly understood concept of exponential growth.
Also growing exponentially: fuel consumption.

Yes, peak oil is being used up exponentially as well. It seems almost any meaningful component or facet of today's world is growing/shrinking exponentially. It's spooky and yet fascinating, huh?

There are no easy solutions to population control. I agree, it should be a more frequent topic of concern. However, I also think that if we lived more tribal/primitive/basic needs/barbaric lifestyles then living space would not be as big of an issue. Indigenous tribes flourished because they had more respect for their environment, and the weak died while strong survived.

Interesting insight. I've wondered about that in the context of what effect population numbers have on hunter/gatherer tribes. I don't know of any that are of a large number. If that's the case, then we're back to needing a reduction in overall population.

Very nice deep thought video's. I also remember V on TV, funny to think about it.
Another problem with exponential growth is the government debt we have. We have reached the point of critical mass where the debt is compounding exponentially and the results will be default or massive inflation due to currency devaluation fairly soon.
We have to think and prepare for that also. Nice video again. Karl
