I have windows XP and I have tried all these browsers and even though Chrome takes up more space it is the most stable. So many browsers copy from Chrome. I think they should all combine together on 1 team and make a blowout browser

The reason Macs don't get viruses is because barely anybody uses it compared to Windows. So whats the point in wasting your time with such a small amount of people? I used Safari 3 for the longest time and then I installed the 4 Beta and the new 'Top Sites' didn't work. So I downloaded Google Chrome and loved it then used that for awhile, then Apple release a solid version of Safari 4 and everything worked perfectly. So yeah, now I'm using Safari.

I'd agree that Safari is great and, also, an extremely fast web browser but I would not call it the most innovative. I think that the built-in features it has are around as good as Firefox 3's, and better than the rest of browsers'. The thing is that Firefox has the ad-ons, which puts it above the rest for customization. I think, in the end, it just comes down to whether you want speed (Safari or Opera), or customization (Firefox).

Anything is pretty much better than Internet Explorer, but Safari on Windows XP is just "abysmal," sadly. It's not a resource hog, but the browser sometimes doesn't load correctly, and unlike in the OS X version, where you can switch out of Private Browsing easily w/o quitting, in the WinVersion, you have to exit the program in order to go back into normal browsing mode again!

I tried Safari on XP and Vista, and my personal opinion is:

On XP I dont know if it is psycologic, but I felt my machine was taking less effort to perform searches with Safari than with IE, so it felt smoother.

On Vista I felt some bugs, when using safari, my machine screwed very often and I had to restart, so I decided to uninstall Safari and use IE7 and my machine had performed flawleslly since that, I woud like Apple to check this bugs because I really like safari.

Using Safari 3 on Vista, its display is excellent, and speed is noticeably fast, and I will recommend this for users who needs faster downloading speed. Lol it also has spell check (!!)

Yes, I use Opera also. It's nice for web developers, but like most Apple software on the PC it's very rough around the edges. Safari seems to lack a TON of features.
