Oh boy. This is very very nice. And also, you look like a gentleman. I am writing this comment as i am listening to the song, and it only gets better. This is beautiful. Thank you very much.
I was trying to come up with a description of your manner of playing and I decided on: "The man who caresses his music!" I thoroughly enjoyed your music! You have a great talent!
Spent a little time with your vids. Great channel. This one and carol of the bells I really like. Nice to see someone talented not overplaying the instrument. It is one of the most interesting gentle instruments around. have also never seen a Nechville banjo that has a moveable 5th string if I'm understanding the commentary to the Tatiana harmonic song. Any, I subscribed....
@tuckytunes Thanks! The moveable 5th string is actually part of Tom Nechville's original banjo design patent. There's a built-in capo for the other strings, as well. He calls it "capobility", and it's a feature of his "Nuvo" necks, but he doesn't promote it very aggressively any more, because that style of neck is more complicated/tedious to build, and he doesn't like to hassle with it. :)
