He was a real marine and he served in there for a number of years. Also he came out of retirement and is doing mma now. I should know he is my uncle ;)
@theninjadrummer123 I actually thought he should of had a run with the WCW tv or tag titles. However, it was nice to see him main event against Ric Flair. albeit on WCW Saturday Night.
He had a nice early run in WCW during the mid 90s, but soon enough he was jobbing for Goldberg's rise to fame. Sgt. Pittman absolutely OWNED the WCW Saturday Night program during that time, along with Hacksaw Jim Duggan...
@MrManmountainrock he was a jobber that became a baby face character. His stage name was SGt Craig Pittman and his motto was, " It's a great day for the corps" he was a real marine who went into pro wrestling and was a copy of the sgt slaughter character in WCW.
seems like a real nice guy, seems nothing like he was in the ring.i think this is 1 guy the WWE really should think about having coz he's an awesome wrestler!
does anybody know were pittman is, i coached with him in atlanta at a high school, for a little while loss contact with him, this is one of the best guys you ever want to meet. im still in atlanta at throbacks sportsbar 404-761 -6418 ask for wayne

One of the most, if not THE most underrated perfomers in the history of wrestling. He should have most definitely had a major push. "Pitbull" was a natural athlete and a top notch showman as well.
This dude's style was ahead of its time. He was working a Japanese style in 1995 in America. When Bryan Danielson says you were good, you must have been doing something right.
This man is an actual veteran of the U.S. Marines and yes he was a trainer in the WCW power plant in fact he gave the Big Show Paul Wight much ring training.
I enjoy shoots with the likes of Craig Pittman, because these guy's don't have any reason to hold back they're so far removed from the biz they have nothing to lose in it. Some of the big name shoots I think guy's tend to hold back somtimes because they're still involved one way or another.
Hope Craig knows that not everybody from West Virginia is like that. I really liked his character and his work. Too bad that WCW was run by such a bunch of bumbling morons.
call them black - a = lition the black demolition the song would be classic demolition theme with slight change of lyrics like-"here come the jt here come the gaspar there coming to jack you"
i dont know who he is im a wwf/wwe ecw fan not much of wcw untill nwo days who
is this guy the only black guys got over ron simmons and booker t as king booker, and bobby lashley to lesser extent, how come they put two blak guys together in wwe tag team and have to affiliate them with the word crime, why couldnt they just put masks on them and
the only things that sucked about his wcw career...other than saddling him w/ "cobra"/"thunder"/nwos...was i think they made him goldberg-fodder,,,rather than make his match(es) w/ bill goldberg more intriguing!!!...
Yes it is. Pittman also was one of the last individuals to wrestle collegiately for Kentucky University before the school dropped it's wrestling program due to TITLE IX.
If I'm not mistaken he was a legit submission wrestler/MMA practicioner. I recall seeing pics with him in someone's full guard or half guard back in the day.
i remember his "feud" w/ "cobra"...AKA "thunder" from "'thunder' & 'lightning'"...AKA "'NWO' sting"...AKA jeff farmer(?)...2 paraphrase piper' 2k5 hof speech!!!
@slidefl Didn't know he was a Christian...awesome!!.....seams like a really nice guy...I still remember the morse code during his matches building to the cobra feud.
He was also ten times the in-ring worker that Lashley was (at least he can go through a single match without botching) Probably one of the most underutilized talents in wrestling history
I was just thinkin about The Sarge. I was watching the WCW dvd and Goldberg was talking about how he never would've made it through the Power Plant if it wasn't for Sarge. I know he is talking about a different one, but in my eyes other than Slaughter, Pittman is The Sarge
@CapTashman Actually, Goldberg is referring to Sgt. Buddy Lee Parker when he says that - who was not only a long time WCW talent, but also the head trainer at the Power Plant.
I almost forgot about this guy. He seems like a real down to earth guy. Not sure what he's up to these days but he seems very positive.

I could never figure out why, after giviving him a big push initially that WCW jobbed him out, cuz he was obviously legit in the ring.
