I miss the Midwestern storms...I can almost imagine the smell of the corn fields and rumble of distant thunder. I've noticed after moving to TX that the tropical air usually obscures the wide veiws of the storms, and the thunder and lightning isn't nearly as noticable until the storm is on top of you. Not sure why...just what I have observed here in Austin. North TX and Eastern TX are exceptions to this..it's just Central TX...strange
OMFG! At 1:02 just how many funnel clouds were there? It looked like whipped cream.. There were so many colours in those clouds. It looked like green, purple, blue, dark grey, white, black and yellow. In my past experience with a tornado, I only saw a green, purple and dark grey cloud(s).

there was one time at the shore when i went to the board walk and there were clouds coming our way and came fast!a water spout almost formed
