becuase of the "air polution" is part of it and then the other is all the factorys new that the 4 stroke is gonna be the future which obviously true but that doesn NOT mean a 2smoke wont keep up with a 4 stroke some of the riders like Jason Lawrence like 2smokes better but the AMA does not allow 2stokes in the pro class like supercross and outdoors. u can however run a 2stoke in the 125 and 250 A and below and abuncg of ppl are still runnning them.

yeah u cant ride em cuz the emissions are horrible, epa wont let em, two strokes make like twice the power, theyve put in so much research into makin 4 strokes faster, theyre startin to get really good, but if they put that much effort into two strokes, theyd be even more prefference, im just sayin, its a personel choice to ride a two stroke, if u dont like, shove it

i think 2 strokes suck. they take a lot more maintenance than 4 strokes and they dont have "twice the power" its just easier to get the power band. if you ever ride a good 4 stroke (250cc or bigger) that has been kept up good then a good rider would choose that any day over the 2 stroke

oh really i race B and a few A and i ride a 09 yz250 and love it! I would much rather have a 2 over a 4 and its not that it has over twice the power that makes a 4 stroke so much different is the way its delevered and about that mainance not so true u dont ahve to take ur 2smoke in and get valves ajusted and vavle springs put in or worry about the cam chain a 2 stroke pull the head off put a ring in or piston if its burnt and its good to go for less than $100.. 4 stroke ur lookin at 500$ top end

Four strokes have way more parts which equals more things to fix. 2 strokes only have oil in the trans. four strokes have it in the trans AND crank. U have to replace the oil filter in a four stroke EVERY time u change oil. Now tell me, which one is harder to maintain?

And BTW why would they race 125's with 250f's when the 2 strokes are winning if they "dont have twice the power" fucktard
