That's amazing, I actually feel sorry for Sarah Palin! Frankly, if her trusted staff is telling her she's about to take a private call from Sarkozy, she handled it exactly as she should have: assume it's the real deal and ride it out with polite conversation until you are *certain* it's not.
Being pranked is bad, but starting off her political relationship with France with a disastrous first phone call to Sarkozy would have been infinitely worse. I think she played the odds correctly.
