  • i would drift the shit outta that thing

  • mad as car

  • If ever there was a time for chuck norris to like a youtube video.. it would be now!!

  • street legal?

  • How many hours did it take to build in total and is there a video of it driving? Looks great.

  • Awesome man great job!!!

  • the liscence plate 8)

  • only thing I disliked were the 2 wind breakers but damn that's sick..hope you enjoy it bro! :D

  • Great job! You are one talented man! How much will you charge me to make me one? How much did you save by not buying an Ariel Atom right off the bat?

  • All I have to say is awesome car build! Coming from a custom fabricator and car lover I can only imagine the hours you have into this...I respect the craftsman ship in this!!!! Great job!!!!

  • I dont fucking know why you americans dont drive stick or atleast learn it. Your fucked in so many countries if your going to rent a car. Its stupid why you dont learn it.

  • @XR587 First of all the monte carlo he used to build this car was most likely an automatic, so it was a transmission he already owned. It's too damn expensive to buy all different parts new.

Plus I (an American) drive stickshifts, and I prefer it to it an automatic, even though I own a trackday car with an auto. I'm looking to get it converted. And I'm sure there are plenty of people in your country who drive automatics. So stop being a dick, Dick.

By the way, this car is awesome 5*

  • @XR587 it takes two minutes to learn anyone could drive a fucking stick. you Fool

  • @XR587 It's quite ignorant of you to think that most Americans don't know how to drive a manual transmission. What do you base this on? I know for a fact that many Americans learn how to drive on a manual car. Many people also drive automatic transmission cars for daily commuting due to the convenience of it for stop and go traffic. Maybe you should stop and learn some actual facts before spouting off ignorant comments next time.

  • @XR587 you'd be surprised how many Americans actually can drive stick. I sure as hell was. It's near impossible to get most things in stick over there, and when available they tend to be more expensive. People on a budget or who don't care take the cheaper option, which ends up an automatic. In that way we have it easier in Europe since the lack of automatic supply dictates a greater takeup rate on the more fun rowable gearboxes.

  • @XR587 your a dumbass... and if you are a brit... go fix your damn teeth asshole!!

  • holy crap man... You a real man's man. Great job

  • this is beautiful dude :) ps bet you hate the rain huh ? lol i wanna make one of these on day :(

  • go big with a 5.3L V8, nice choice of power plant! =D

  • great job and everything but is automatic gearbox i see??? WHY ou why???

  • Been working on cars since I was 16, and I am 25. My ultimate goal in wrenching over the years to come is to end up building a car like this. Would have put a roof on it personally, but you have an awesome looking project. Hope you enjoy driving it regularly (as often as possible anyways being that it looks like you're in Ohio) and it's time to get yourself a GoPro HD, strap it to various spots on the car, and make a video of this thing cruising down the road.

  • you did a great job man. How many hours do you have in this car?

  • If you build it they will come you run them down please

  • Nice

  • Awesome Ride dude !! You could never, ever have too much power. 4cyl turbo ?? Come on. . . give me a break. Don't listen to the nay sayers. . .It's perfect. How many lbs. ?? Not the baby . . . the car.

  • Impala SS engine?

  • great work man!

IMHO that engine is to big for that sort of car, some 4cyl turbo (something like VW TFSI) would work maybe even better than that V8

  • @razor666666 I don't disagree, but I am guessing this guy is just a Chevy guy. Oh and those 5.3s sounds pretty damn good as well, usually just aren't impressive as a FWD package but in this car, its pretty cool. Personally I'd be more concerned with finding an engine with a manual trans, but to each their own. Maybe he got this motor, trans, harness, and computer for a good deal and that was the deciding factor?

  • where did you get the idea for this? it should have been scrapped long ago

  • i don't like it. ILOVE IT!!! GOOD JOB!

  • Where did you get the front and rear ends, what year, brand and model car are you using, it looks pretty good how those can be completely integrated to any design, besides the power plant itself also, it looks like it comes from a FWD vehicle with a trans axle built in please tell us something about it's origin and specs.

    Thank you

  • @RDELAPLAZA Motor is from 06(?) Impala SS, it IS FWD and he is using the factory auto trans. looks like the gauge cluster and shifter are from the Impala as well. It is a 5.3L pushrod V8 making around 325hp

  • @HondaTurboToys The engine is powering the rear wheels.

  • Why such a long wheelbase @ 2:02 min we can see a BIG space between the engine and the seats, that throws off the front/rear weight distribution, all that empty space does not need to be there..! why?

  • @RDELAPLAZA check that there's the radiator.

  • It could at least have had a manual gearbox.

  • @kimgulle That would be tough on choices since the engine's mounted transversely.

  • nice job man!

  • You should of droped a body on it

  • 1000$ for a roller chassis?

  • 20 people are jelious but well... we all are but 20 are just super jelious. nice work man simply beautiful.

  • Great! A bit too long wheelbase for the perfect look but the chassie construction is just beautiful :P

  • love the top gun music haha

  • Dude, this is so cool. Props to you. Very creative

  • Lot of work, lotta love for what you put into it.

  • waaaaa pero de cuanto es el motor ?

  • itll probably always just be a dream of mine to have the time tools and cash to complete a project like this. looks awesome man!

  • @nstable FUck that, nigga im gonna build my own! fuck money this wont be JUST a dream for me, you should have the same feeling!!!

  • i swear to god that these self made cars are impressing me even more everytime i see one, and this one is not even a kit car made out of a slow car`s chassis, its home built thats whats so amazing! and just the fact that it actually works and its a one of a kind machine its most likely worth more than that weird shaped atom anyway, bigger engine as well!

  • you deserve $100,000,000 for building a car that actually works! by the way how much did it cost to make it?

  • how does the transmission work backwords

  • @barta1967 It doesn't work backwards if it's out of a FWD V8 car like the Monte Carlo SS or Impala SS (the FWD Impala based of the FWD Caprice).

  • pretty bad ass!

  • You really do need to add a firewall wouldnt be quite as important if it used a low pressure fuel system like a carb but a real fuel injected system without a firewall that clsoe to your head is just too dangerous. If your the only one in it its one thing but if your gonna put your kid in it you have to go for safety first. then something between the front tires and the people inside fender or floorpan anything.

other then that its pretty damn nifty

  • All that work but it's just an automatic? i guess caddy transaxles will limit you.

  • Ohio plates! Hell yeah. :3

  • now slap a go pro on that thing and lets see a real test drive

  • your a nut case strangely appealing but after looking at it for a few seconds ive become frightened by it

  • do u realize how fucked u are if u crash?

  • Comment removed

  • Awesome!

    Top gun music gives

    You extra

    Cool points! Sick build!

  • thats so cool

  • great, now, could you make a tutorial on this!!! JK ;)

  • gooooood job! nice daddy! wow!

  • eXCELLENT WORK.... This is just amazing....

  • look at the detail...even the intake manifold cover is flipped

wow lol am I the only one who noticed that?

  • So clean! That is a thing of beauty!

  • awesome,awesome,awesome......whats the horsepower

  • wheres the firewall?

  • Why Automatic? Seriously

  • Here we have a guy that spent his money very well! Thumbs up for him

  • Its cool yet I can't help but imagine how much better it would be with a small 4 cylinder mated to a 6 speed. Like something out of a civic si

  • @Viper989 ive been debating building something like this using my scion tc as a donor. most of the money would go towards building a tube chassis, then dropping the engine in the back for rwd. a 300hp turbo 4cyl will go a long way with that little weight!

  • Are you an engineer by trade?

  • I don't know because I haven't seen everything in the universe, but this is probably the best thing ever.

  • Congrats!!! Very nice car!! Wish I could made mine!!!

  • Awsome dude you are a genius

  • Great job man, im jealous

  • Congratulations, is awesome and a precision car.

  • Thats awesome!! You should take it to a track and see how its handels, I bet it corners pretty good.

  • Well done, It looks like youve put a lot of time and effort into this. Nothing wrong with wanting to be different ;)

  • Excellent Job!

  • HATERS YOU TRY BUILDING A CAR!!

  • love it dude! very nice job!

would love to see it in person!

  • love it dude! very nice job!

  • It's kinda ugly

  • ha ha the 1 little exhaust

  • automatic=worthless

  • @SuperShelbyLover I'm sure Jim Hall would give you a good slapping for your moronic comment.

  • it definitely would look better on black

  • Amazing.....you did not manifactured a car....you created a dream.....

  • NICE! Could you please tell me the name of the song, it's very known but I can't remember it!

  • @JuMff , its off the top gun soundtrack

  • WOW Congratulations :-)

  • Good looking car but man you need a better body for it.. like a kit car body you should like at like a fiero body or something or maybe a 280z body would be killer..

  • Man awesome car and taste! Congratulations! you must be a great person!

  • i would like to see a firewall for protective reasons but great job on the build...a built L67 with a turbo instead of the m90 would be a good engine as well imo. would love to see performance stats as well

  • good job man

  • First off i ant to say "GREAT JOB!" I am currently building a tube frame front engine, rear drive car. Less than ideal drivetrain layout but keeps cost down with a manual transmission.

Look you clowns... a manual transmission would add at least $5000 to the cost of due to the limited availability and cost of a transaxle for a rear engine V8 car. The only way to have a manual transmission and keep cost down would be to use a non V8 engine. Now THAT would be a waste!

  • ... and ur car

  • I love Top Gun

  • you do awesome fab work. Just seems kinda odd that with all the custom fabrication it would take to build a car like this the focal point of the rear is a piece of flex pipe. Just not my thing but great work on the car.

  • This is dope as shit.

  • I was thinking bluddy hell thats cool and the perspex windscreen and ........ wait is that an automatic gearbox. wtf , i might just close my eyes and hope its some kind of weird sequential. Still cool but shame if its a auto.

  • Props :)

  • awesome! This is what I would like to build......!

  • If your gonna build a car like that at least put a decent engine in there.....

  • @Spiketheflame oh so we have a ford fan in here! why want you go build you own and put whatever kind of engine you want in it fagget! im sure this would out run the piece of crap you drive.

  • Inspired!!!!

  • Its like a Caterham V8. I am drooling.

  • it's not automatic is it.... that would be apocalypticly boring... if you ever decide to capitalise on this please make a version with a regular, 'stick shifter' as you americans call it...

  • just fantastic

  • how hard was it to build the frame of it?

  • great videos great car finished product looks great i cant believe its also street legal how much did total build cost

  • Здраво јас сум од Mакедонија и сакам да дознаам каде можам да најдам како Tие што се на 1:58

  • When this goes to a car show everyone is humbled.

  • Automatic?? :(

  • how much hp

  • Amazing job mate.. You're a true inspiration to many.. did you do it all by yourself though?

  • Im so happy for you man! I only that the laws in my country would let me drive a small roadster I built. Have fun with your dream car!

  • Why would you go through all that just to cripple it with a shit engine and trans? You are obviously talented but man whats with the engine choice?

  • my question is how many hoops did you have to go through to get it registered and street legal?

  • @Energi2DmaxX I would think that getting insurance is a bigger problem than registration.

  • @Kdog54902 if he used the vin of a El Camino which i think he did it would be insured as a El Camino.

  • @riderthewake02 Not exactly, insurance companies usually will want to come take a photo of the car they are insuring so they dont pay for old damage. When that happens I think they will notice its not an el camino.

  • @Crosisborg hmm. My dads custom build sand rail has the vin of a 68 vw bug so thats what its registered under.

  • @riderthewake02 Understood but that means nothing to the insurance company. They have a poicy on modifications and you can register it as a VW or the starship enterprise but they will still see it for what it really is and charge a comparable rate.

  • @Energi2DmaxX i have a street legal VW buggy, in illinois you only need a wind screen and signals and lights!

  • @Energi2DmaxX It would be a pain if he was in Cali. Cali is a quagmire :-/

  • great car just the wind screens and exhaust kill the project

  • people need to quit mad doggin this guys creation! i like everything about it!

  • Comment removed

  • i think it's awesome but would look alot better if you had a bender!!!!

reminds me of howe and howe tech

  • Great build man... I love it, but I do like manual gearbox, and I like engines in the front... Not the back. That's the only two cons of it all man.

  • i see you have a hobart MIG welder?? is that what you used to weld the frame up??

  • gayest fucking music

  • V8 is wrong kind of motor for this car, needs a bigger rev band to like 9000rpm to make the care more accurate. well fabbed though, welds look sick

  • not many people can do that these days, congratulations.

  • It looks like the start of a Lamborghini Kit Car frame for a Fiero..

  • good job! lol

  • You're our herro

me and my friend planin' to creat one like yours..wish a luck for us

  • nice car

  • looks agricultural...lol

  • nice work that car looks great perfect weekend road warrior!

  • so cool

  • its not atom inspried car.....its an atom kickin inspired car.

  • @SuperButch888 Except it wouldn't kick an atom. The engine alone weighs more than the atom. V8's are just low revving lumps of noise. Get a Ninja engine in it and watch it fly.

  • its a go cart on steroids

  • Is your car easy to maintain in good state, to fix if something is broken? I believe it is. Car like this, is my dream. Just durable and light tubes, engine, gearbox, wheels and other parts, everything covered with some simple but good cover. And thats it.

I hate cars that are built novadays, when I look at my car, I can see rust here and there, I have to clean, and weld, clean and weld, and i cannot replace anything, its just a bunch of crappy thin folded iron.

  • congratulations on a great car. Where did you get the inspiration? How's the handling?

  • Lol !!! jus buy a vette man xD No wonder our economy tanked. what a waste of time !

  • @11green11 you're an idiot.

  • @11green11 If that's the attitude of our generation, I weep for the future of our country. Have some freaking creativity and do something for yourself. Sheesh.

  • how much to build me one

  • exellent work congratilations

  • what did the moteo come out of?

  • @Rlm77racing its an LS4, probably a Grand Prix. Imo he should have used a compG tranny. No LS4's came with a manuel gearbox but a compG was paddle shifted or you could make a +/- shifter if you wanted

  • all that work, years of labor! and he's to lazy to shift gears!

  • Question: how much did u spend?

  • Question is... will it blend?

  • time for you to start a car company!

  • Needs bodywork. Time to learn how to make fiber glass panels, eh?

  • Of all the cool things about this car the one thing that just doesnt work for me is the curly Q exhaust, dont know why but it looks way off

  • @marcjorgensen I agree. Cheap flex pipe isn't the way I'd go with how far he went with everything else.

  • awesome !

  • Put a rear wing on it, and some upside down air scoops into the engine bay, with side exits, and it will stick to the ground like glue. Nice for sunny days, but what about when it rains? Nice job though.

  • Love it man, great F-ing work! Did you do all the frame work yourself?

  • te lo compro!

    cuanto??? pedis

  • I saw how feathered the rear tyres were.Thats 1 insane car mate congrats.

  • ive bilt lots of sand cars but never a street car always wanted to were did you get the plans what motor and the a arms sorry love it nothing like the first time you start it up good job let me know if you want to see my pics sand car 2180 cc vw motor t25/t28 turbo

  • @joeyb19601 he came up with it but its a wannabe ariel atom by aston martin

  • Thats A very nice job , I hope your working in the automotive industry ?
