Apprezzo Benigni come comico, ma da quando si è buttato sul serio ed intellettuale è scaduto molto.

L'oscar gli ha dato alla testa, e questo film ne è la prova. Non sempre i fiumi di denaro e gli ottimi costumi equivalgono ad una buona qualità.

Cio' che più mi stupisce è come abbia fatto a non accorgersi che quel ruolo non poteva essere per lui. Avesse avuto l'uniltà di rimanere dietro la cinepresa, una volta tanto, forse avremmo avuto un film decente.

I could understand in a live production of something like Pinnochio using adults to play children if it's handled correctly, but this movie is just so off it's laughable

Il confronto tra questo strano prodotto e il capolavoro di Comencini è imbarazzante.

Regia a parte, a fare davvero paura era l'interpretazione di Manfredi: mostruosa, inarrivabile.

Manfredi non era un attore che faceva Geppetto, era proprio Gepeptto in carne e d ossa uscito dal libro.

First of all it's an italian story written in Italy by an italian author. It's touching creative story inwhich the Italian people should be proud of and they every damn right to make a film out of it. It's also the original story in which Walt Disney totally killed (as usual). Just like Germany has a right to make a film out of Snow White and France out of Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, an Beauty an the Beast.
